The hotel is comfortable, and the breakfast is good but not excellent. The hotel is located near to shopping facility’s and only 10-15 min walk to Altstadt. There is a Parkhaus only 300-400 meters away from the hotel
Usual regular rooms, although some might be not so large. The breakfast does not count with much options, therefore I would say they do not serve a good breakfast. Very clean and good staff. The location is really good.
I liked the style of the hotel . However I was very surprised that in the middle of night the receiption could not help me with 10 euro to pay a taxi. Instead the man showed me in the map the way to the next teller Maschine . I had to walk 700 m one way and was frightened that I get approached or robbed . But it seems that the concept of customer service is changing in Germany . On the positive site : the breakfast room has a great atmosphere and the buffet is very well set up. Rooms are very modern and boutique style . Close to train station , about eight minutes to walk ( safe ) . Though I was not happy with the situation about the taxi during check in, I would come back to the hotel any time
When walking into a hotel room, I expect a few basic things: cleanliness and working light fixtures. I never thought I'd have an issue with the lights not working. After informing reception, nothing was done to fix the lights throughout my stay. There were floor lamps on the other side of the room that I was to use. Additionally, the room was dirty. There was blood on the walls, stains on the curtains, and weird blood booger things on the walls. Again after telling reception, nothing was done. The shower was fine, if you enjoy being hugged by the shower the curtain. I assume the only plus of the place (6 of each type of towel), is because they assume you will put the curtain outside the tub so it doesn't touch you the entire time you're trying to bathe, and you'll need them to clean up all the water spilled from the tub. Lastly, breakfast. If you like powered eggs from 3 days ago - this place is for you! The breakfast was extremely expensive, especially considering food prices in the area. Also: I was told the internet was down and would be fixed. I didn't have internet for 3 days while on business! Finally: my coworkers asked me how much I paid for the room (as I paid for it in the US), and it was 3x what was advertised in Dusseldorf. How could that POSSIBLY happen?? TLDR: Dirty rooms, too expensive, wouldn't have my worst enemy stay here
This is not more than nice place to stay while in Dusseldorf. Too far from the old city, pretty close to the main shopping street. Room decorated simply, average breakfast. For the price they charge, i thought of better experience.
The room was big and clean. The location was perfect. Unfortunately our bathroom wasn't really good. It was old and there was mould in the shower. I think the bathrooms should be renovated soon. Reception was very friendly.
Woke up on the first morning to find lots of small bugs in our bed, went straight down to reception to complain, I was made to wait as the receptionist was still out front smoking (both times I went down to reception this happened!) once he finally came in I explained we had woken up with insects in our bed his reply was “yes” then just stopped talking! I went on to say I wasn’t very happy at all to which he replied it would be looked into. It never was at which point I gave up as the staff clearly do not care! Do not stay here!
I stayed at Wyndham Garden a few times now. Good things: - location. Close to city center (15-20 minutes walk), metro station at 5-10 minutes walk. - cleanliness. Very well maintained and clean rooms, bathrooms. - friendly employees. Always kind and helpful. To be improved: - variety of breakfast. It is not a bad offer, what I would like to improve is more variety regarding type of omletts, more often having frankfurters or any other hot things to eat with the omletts, except the beans and rice. And the vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers) to be fresher.
An outstanding Hotel with excellent amenities. Good Service, too. Room was comfy, excellent shower with accoutrements as standard. Easy access to Königsallee. Good transport links. Easy Hotel to find.
When we arrived, the front desk employee told us that the elevator was broken, but that it will be fixed soon. He told us where the stairs were. No help, no appologies. The next day (and the coming days) the elevator was still out of order. But then, by accident we found out that there was an elevator on the other side of the foyer. The employee didn't tell us, but let us drag our suitcases to the 3rd floor. Also in the room things were broken and the bathroom was not really clean. 4 stars is a joke. 2 would be more appropriate.
