. Good hotel in quiet area, large rooms, clean and modern, friendly helpful staff. Stayed here while visiting the Anuga exhibition in Cologne, bit out of town but great if you want a good nights sleep away from city noises. Got wrong train on first night so had a taxi from dusseldorf (around 23 euro) after that was fine as reception gave us a train timetable and explained trains - station just up the road - 5 mins to dusseldorf and 38 mins to Cologne. didn't find any bars and restaurants close by but hotel said there were some approx 20 mins walk away.
Hotel located in a quiet neighbourhood, a short walk away from supermarkets, bakeries, etc. The Schlosspark Eller is also only a 20 min walk away. The hotel consists of two buildings next to each other with easy parking at the front of the hotel. The room was lovely & spacious with a balcony. Wifi was free and quick. The staff were really friendly and I would definitely stay in this hotel again. I was meeting friends in the evening, though if you were alone, I'm not sure if there is a restaurant/bar nearby.
Clean, well kept rooms with a little old furnitures. But equipped with the kitchen corner. Few rooms are located in another building few meters from the reception, so no problem at all. Very proffesional, friendly and helpful staff (both: reception and breakfast hall). Breakfast rich and tasty. The area around is poor in restaurants however in a 15 minutes walking distance you can find a very good Italian restaurant. But is possible to call a pizza to the room - the pizza supplier suggested by the hotel is OK. Nearby are few low cost supermarkets, so no problem with basic shopping at all. Close to the train station.
Stayed here multiple times over a few months. Staff is friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean and relatively well kept (showing some slight wear and tear). Beds are good. Good television with some international channels. Good seating area setup and general room layout. The small kitchen corner (in some rooms) is practical and has everything you need. Shower is clean, some spots are starting to show however. Plenty of water pressure and good temperature. The location is very practical due to close public transport and ample parking space (free) directly in front of the hotel. Also grocery shopping is in 2 minute walking distance. Did not try breakfast so cannot comment - however, it is overpriced for my needs. Sleep quality was good, noise isolation is adequate and the neighborhood quiet. The price is slightly high for the location (suburb residential neighbourhood a 5KMs from the city center). A large forest is in walking distance of the hotel for a summer stroll. Bottom line, it ticks all the boxes I kept coming back over time and was never disappointed.
The hotel and the room was very clean. Simple room but with everything you need in it. The bathroom is nice and clean. Breakfast served at the hotel had a wide range and tasted good. Also the reception at breakfast was very good (very nice and polite girl serving us with coffee and tea). I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The WiFi is free, the connection is good but the speed is basic, almost slow.
overall an excellent stay, big rooms very clean nice quiet area hotel has own bar and breakfast room.easy acessable by train and bus,has local supermarket, post office to change money and pub staff were so helpful printing off timetables and maps of where to go in dusseldorf making it an enjoyable experience their english was brilliant
Three times they change my room one because no telephone in the room, other noice, third no wifi available. I wont return. Bad service. No proportion between price and what you get. An hotel for 70 eur price costed to me 210 euros per night.
Very good value for money. Big room, recently renovated. There is even a small kitchen with a fridge. Is a bit outside Duesseldorf, in a quiet street with free parking. Our SatNav had trouble finding the address at first... but maybe that was just one of these things! Staff at reception very friendly and the cleaning service were very helpful, as my husband was ill and had to stay in the room all day.
english speaking staff, friendly, helpful, wide room, quiet surrounding, asy access to public transportations. supermarket is few steps away. clean , bed is comfortable but one pillow and small blanket. roof light is very dimm . you can not enter the balcony, it just window rather than balcony.
Excellent value for money. It isn't luxurious, but it's wel appointed, even has a little kitchen. The beds are the best part, I think it's the best nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel (including many 4 or 5 stars). The matras is just right, not to soft ( a common luxury hotel problem) and not to firm. If you want to get to the centre, take the bus or taxi. Not very romantic but perfect for friends.
