Visited More on a fantastic deal with British airways. Worth the upgrade to the balcony sea view as the design of the room and view is fantastic with lots of privacy. We were on the 2nd floor in the original part of the hotel. There were other balcony rooms available with sea view but they didn’t have shutters and were more overlooked so we felt it worth the upgrade. The room we had was gorgeous and very well designed to get fantastic views of the whole bay whilst being quiet and private. .it was very quiet at night ( April) with a sliding balcony door that blocked most sound eg from the restaurant or bar area below. . Large bathroom, good sized private patio area with sunlounger, everything you need. The hotel has a small gym, eg with treadmill, weights, cross trainer etc, a jacuzzi, access to 2 small dip pools ( not lengths) but if you like swimming there are areas of the bay you can get to when the water is warmer and it looked lovely to swim across the bay. The staff are also very lovely. The location is nicely tucked away out of the main busy tourist area but with a good safe walkway and pedestrian area to get to the bus to take you to the new or old town. We walked everywhere, about 30 mins to old town, and a bit less via the scenic route past the very large hotel complex further along from More. We had a choice of hotels when booking but I am so pleased we chose More, as it is really the nicest location as you have a fantastic setting, small hotel feel but can easily access he old town or other areas. The hotel has a cool cave bar, a beautiful restaurant and snack bar on the waterfront too. There are also a couple of lovely restaurants nearby eg max of 5 min walk and lots of other eating places a couple more minutes further walk in the pedestrian area. The old town at night was also definitely worth a trip and the restaurants seemed to be more competitively priced there with a lot of choice. The hotel does do a choice of set menus as well as a la carte, but I think you need to request these when you sit down as they aren't automatically offered. The a la carte was very good but we also walked up the walkway (right) and there is a gorgeous restaurant called levanat on the corner and the food, location and banter was terrific there, so highly recommended. This was a great hotel and if you are thinking of booking, I think you won't be disappointed.
Stayed here with friends for 5 nights and did not want to leave. The hotel is spacious and modern. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, always willing to help. We had a sea view room with a lovely balcony. The cave bar was great and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace by the sea with great cocktails. There is a promenade ( path) that runs along the front of the hotel and is pleasant to walk along to neighbouring hotels and restaurants and to the main road to catch the number 6 or 2A bus into Dubrovnik old town. ( 12kn each way). The only problem we had was getting used to the lifts, because our room was in the new block it meant changing lifts to access our room sometimes we got lost and spent a while finding our room. The pool opened while we were there but was not warm. Also for such a large hotel there was only one small jacuzzi and when we went to use it there were 6 children playing in it. All in all though we would definitely go back and recommend the hotel.
Excellent hotel with beautiful rooms. Great staff everywhere from reception, restaurant and housekeeping. Restaurants are excellent, the food is of a very high standard. Hotel is situated in a very peaceful location with a lovely walkway nearby. Access to the Old town is easy with regular bus lines.
What a fabulous 5 star hotel. Spectacular scenery and sea views. Lovely rooms. Excellent dining options. Well placed on the promenade for walks into town (Lapad) and catching the bus into the Old Town. A boutique hotel that's split in two with walkways connecting the two sites with lots of lifts and stairs. Amazing Cave Bar built into a real cave and cited as one of the best in the world. Downsides..no good for the unfit or infirm as you do need to be fairly fit to get around the property. The juice machine in the restaurant providing breakfast is frankly awful and just doesn't fit with the rest of the great standards at this 5 star property. Given that Dubrovnik / Lapad is the Cannes of Croatia and everything is so expensive here probably best to go half board too. Staff are lovely. All speak good English are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is extremely modern with a state of the art garage with a lift. Probably not a great hotel for young families or children but marvellous for prefamily couples, teens and able empty nesters.
What a beautiful hotel. The hotel is spotless everywhere. The staff are all amazingly friendly and work hard to make sure that you have a fantastic holiday. The room that we had was amazing with a balcony and sea view. The rooms have all of the amenities that make your stay very comfortable, from the slippers and robes to USB ports to charge your phones etc. The internet is really good all around the hotel and we were even connected to it when sitting on the beach! The breakfast is really nice, with extras to order like omelettes and pancakes. You can also order any type of coffee from Americano to latte my favourite was the latte macchiato. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace after breakfast with an extra coffee and a Bucks fizz. Thank you hotel More for making our holiday extra special.
My Wife and I stayed at Hotel More And it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in It’s spotlessly clean Nothing was too much for them From the chambermaids to the general staff If you ever want to go to Croatia Dubrovnik Then don’t go anywhere else but Hotel Mare It’s everything you want it to be and more
We had 4 nights here in a Classic Double Room, Sea View - and it was just superb. The views over the bay and the sea from our balcony (Rm 402) were awesome. Sitting on the balcony at sunset and having a wine while watching the light fade and the boats come in was magical. The room was huge and beautifully appointed and the bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet despite being above the outdoor restaurant and near the lifts. The breakfasts in the terrace restaurant was lovely and the dinners there superb. The food and wine was top class and the atmosphere lovely. The Cave Bar was a great attraction and a unique experience, one not to be missed. All staff we had contact with were very pleasant, friendly, helpful and professional. We loved our stay there and were sorry to leave.
Lovely hotel for a short break in Dubrovnik. We were there for a short break over Easter without our teenage kids who were on other holidays. It’s really an adult hotel it wouldn’t have had enough life about for teenagers. However for a couple it is perfect, low key, laid back but still 5 star service. The staff were genuinely friendly and so happy to help with any queries. The setting means you feel you are the only people there. We had a beautiful sea view room, when you look out all you can see is the beautiful sea and Lapad bay. My only word of caution would be ask the price of room service wine. We are happy to pay the price of having a glass of wine delivered but £25 per glass is a bit much...especially as a large glass of wine is charged as a double so two large glasses of wine were £100! Apart from that small hiccup we had the perfect weekend, we’d definitely go back but next time we’d ask for a wine list with prices!
A fabulous 5 star hotel just a short walk from the restaurant area on the Lapad peninsula. Rooms were spotless and the staff were friendly and attentive. No beach as such but a long paved lounger area next to the sea with steps. Great for swimming but not for non swimmers. There are two outside and one inside pool. There are great bars, one of them, the cave bar leads right to the seaside lounger. Breakfasts were superb with fizz available each morning. The evening restaurants are not cheap but the food and service were first rate, so we ate there on a couple of evenings. We would go nowhere else if we ever visit Dubrovnik again.
This hotel is worth booking. The rooms are big and spacious. We were upgraded to a sea view with balcony. The maid came in every day, and in the evening they also called to see if we needed fresh towels. There was a spar, a swimming pool although that was not in use when we were there, also a jacuzzi also not in use as the hotel had recently just opened and it was too cold to have them in use. Restaurant was big and plenty tables inside and outside with sea views. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, like cooked food and cold meats and salad lovey breads. It was all beautifully Presented. If you wanted something freshly cooked they would do that for you. The reception staff were very helpful and all spoke good English. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
