My wife and I stayed at Hotel More between 15-18 October. Booked a deluxe suite with sea view. Room was perfect, staff and service were great, food in the restaurants delicious. We cannot wait toreturn
I've just returned from a week's stay at Hotel More & it's a holiday I will never forget. The layout of the hotel is very unique but it allows you to explore & find all that the hotel has to offer (sometimes by mistake)! The reception is on the 7th floor & you change on the 5th floor from the older part to the newer part (there is also a jacuzzi & pool on the 5th floor). Breakfast is served in Restaurant Tramuntana on Floor 0 in the new part of the hotel & the pool area & bar is on Floor -1, also in the new section. The cave bar is on Floor -2 in the older part of the hotel. To get to the promenade you need to go to Floor -1. If you take a left onto the promenade & walk right along the promenade until you come to a main street, this is where you can get the Number 6 bus to Pile Gate to visit Old Town Dubrovnik (the bus costs 15 kuna for one way). You can also get a taxi to Old Town which costs about 100 kuna each way from the hotel. The views from the hotel are incredible & I'd highly recommend watching the sunset from the outside area of the cave bar. The cave bar is an absolute must! The rooms are clean & spacious with lots of facilities, including a whirlpool bath. I ate at the Restaurant Tramuntana & the food was delicious. I highly recommend the buffalo mozzarella starter and the seafood main course. The service was fantastic & prices were similar to those out with the hotel. Every member of staff that we encountered during our stay was friendly, attentive and helpful. A special mention has to go to Ljdia on reception who helped us to organise a car hire, recommended restaurants nearby & booked us a reservation for dinner. If you are venturing out of the hotel for dinner, there are some fantastic restaurants nearby on Lapadska Obala (it costs about 80 kuna in a taxi to get here). We ate at the Orsan Yachting Club, Peppers Eatery & Otto Taverna all in this area. All three restaurants were wonderful & the food was up there with the best. Each meal was expensive but worth every penny. The breakfast at the hotel was a great way to start the day. There was fresh fruit, salad, cereal, a selection of breads, meats & cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries & tea, coffee, fruit juices & water. The sparkling wine to make your own mimosas was a lovely touch! Breakfast is served from 6.30-10.30am. I highly recommend Hotel More & when I come back to Dubrovnik, I'll be staying there again. It's a beautiful & relaxing hotel which is near enough to Old Town but allows you to explore different surrounding areas.
This is a beautiful hotel set into the Cliffside. Stepping out on the lower level you are on a promenade giving beautiful walks in both directions. Easy to get a bus into town – in fact every 1- mins - although it can be crowded at times. Cannot fault the hotel. Staff extremely polite. Beautiful room – very clean. Breakfast fresh fruit and eggs to order – more than adequate. Plenty of restaurants are close by. Would definitely stay here again.
Fabulous hotel, really friendly staff and the most gorgeous views! We had a wonderful week at Hotel More. Situated at the top of Lapad Bay, the hotel has the Cave Bar, with access to the sea and amazing sunset views. There are two pools and an outdoor jacuzzi. Word of warning the pool on level 5 is cold! But refreshing!! Breakfast is fab, loads to choose from and even nicer with a glass of bubbles. Two restaurants and pastry bar. We had a sea view room with a balcony, whirlpool bath, robes, slippers. Fresh towels daily (and again in the evening if you want them). About 10-15 minute walk down to Lapad Bay where there are loads of bars and restaurants and you can catch the no.6 bus into the Old City. About 20-30 minutes the other way and you can walk to the copacabana beach. Loved every minute of our stay, sad to leave
We stopped here for one night at the end of our trip to Croatia and what an amazing way to finish our holiday! The hotel is beautiful, slightly strangely laid-out in the cliff face so you need to get the hang of the lifts, but it's a small thing. Parking is easy (we had a hire car) and the bus to Dubrovnik's old town takes 10 minutes. We had a room in the new part of the hotel and it was fantastic - huge bed, balcony overlooking the sea and a lovely bathroom. The staff were unfailingly polite and attentive. There are two jacuzzis and swimming pools - we chose the one at the top of the hotel, and it was totally magical to sit in the jacuzzi watching the sun set over the sea. There is also a roped-off area for swimming in the sea, but we didn't try it. The cave bar is worth a visit - we enjoyed cocktails by the water before dinner, which was very relaxing and atmospheric. We had an amazing dinner in the restaurant - the food was excellent quality and worth every (fairly expensive) penny! Breakfast (included) was also very nice, with plenty of choice. Overall we loved this place and have said we will go back to Dubrovnik just to stay there again!!!
We have just got back from a lovely week stay at Hotel More. The hotel is lovely and the rooms a great size with everything you need. We spent a lot of time at the lovely pools both on the roof and on the terrace as well as by the sea at the amazing cave bar. We also ate at both hotel restaurants during our stay and both had lovely staff with really great food. The hotel is really well located near a local beach and small town with more restaurants and bars and at the top of the main road is the bus stop for the number 6 bus which runs every 15mins into the old town. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Dubrovnik!
we have just returned from a week at Hotel More. I would recommend. The hotel was beautifully located. we stayed in a double balcony sea view room. We woke to stunning sun rises and sat on our balcony to watch the sun go down. Bliss. The rooms were clean, large enough for a week and cleaned well each day. The highlight for me was just how friendly helpful and well trained the staff were. My major comments are two fold. I needed to use the gym for health reasons and the equipment was not as I anticipated. The staff had purchased some new kit for me within 3 hours of my request. Outstanding response. My other highlight staff wise was the quality of the service at breakfast and supper. The team in the dining room were attentive, remembered little things that you liked and had them waiting each morning. In the evening we ate in the More Restaurant twice and really really enjoyed our Octopus grilled and cod. Especially the octopus. I can say very well done and thank you to all the team at the hotel.
I stayed in this Hotel for 7 nights and it was fantastic. We had a sea view room with a terrific view over the bay .We were in room 711 which was the top floor and a corner room so our balcony gave us a full view and also we had only a few stairs to be able to exit as the Hotel is built against a hillside. Breakfast was good on the terrace .The staff were fab. Early October is a a good time to stay as the cruise ship visitors fell from a peak of 9,000 to 123 the day we did the walk around the walls. About 30 minutes walk to the harbour on the other side of Lapad or about an hour in to the old town. We normally got the bus which was always busy but the trip only lasts about 20 minutes. We ate at Eden restaurant twice .It is on the upper road behind the hotel and we enjoyed it.
The view from our room was outstanding. We looked down the Bay of Lapland, out to The Adriatic Sea. Hotel room was very spacious and the balcony great. We eat in the hotel a few times during our stay and the food was of a very high standard. Only negative was that one day for lunch we eat at the lower Beach bar area and some of the food was not properly cooked and it had to be sent back.Only a small blip on a great break.
Beautiful location overlooking Lapad bay Excellent and helpful staff Excellent room with sea view 10 minute bus ride to the "old town" Many local restaurants ( albeit rather expensive ) within 10 minute walk along coastal paths Staff noted wife's birthday ( we guess from passport ) and presented complimentary cake !!.......very much appreciated
