It delivers what many 3/4 Stars would at an unbeatable price and value. Most of the hotels have a half board plan which works best if you plan on an extended visit. All the Maestral Hotels have friendly staff, you'll feel at home. Clean, good food, professional.
Some of the reviews are way too harsh. It is true that the hotel could use a little renovation but you do not go to Dubrovnik to admire your hotel room. The bus stop is 20 meters from the entrance and the beach is 100 meters from the entrance. In my opinion, it compensates the absence of elevator. The breakfast was quite adequate, loved the buffet meals in the restaurant in the evening. Would definitely stay again.
I mean I have been in many chip hotels and expensive to but paying so much money In this hotel and being so terrible never expected . The bed was terrible you could sleep better on the floor that in that bed so hard. Photos online where showing the room to modern and beautifully but inside was 90s …… Did not have even a bar or a place to chill for a bit. Breakfast was always the same and no variety. I regretted so much paying all that money for nothing. I do not recommend this place for anyone.
This hotel is under all qualications and doesn't deserve even one star. Half maybe. Beds are dirty and broken. Toilet doors are broken. Room door is nearly impossible to lock and open. You can hear every single whisper throug the door. Everything looks really ancient and worn out. I mean REALLY. Lot of stairs and no elevator. I really feel sorry for old people who come here. Rooms are so small that there is no room for dry the laundry. Nothing to hang to even for small laundry. There is ONE electric socket in the room. ONE!! TV is about thirty years old so the picture is violet and "snowing". There was one channel that sent english series but I could only hear the voice. In the toilet there is another electric socket but it's near the seeling and you need a chair to use it. Offcourse there isn't hair dryer. Toilet strongly smells urin and it's really dirty in every way. Shower sewer runs poorly if at all. Cleaners clean rooms somehow but not the toilet - not at all. I made a test. I put some crease on the floor. It hasn't dissappeared after cleaning. Staff is unpolite except one old gentleman. Except that he was unpolite too when I told him that sewer doesn't run. They only like good news here. Breakfast is nearly ok. They think here that everybody loves watermelon because the only fresh thing was that. Every morning. No salad. No cucumber. No tomatoes. No vegetables at all. No porridge. Fresh juice was something I cannot call juice at all. A bad tasting liquid maybe. Coffeemachine cooked coffee. Oh! There was something other fruit two times. But it was melon too, that orange one. I was expecting a decent room. I really wasn't expecting anything luxory. Only a clean and tidy room. I am really disappointed. Gladly Dubrovnik is a beautiful town and really nice place. I really enjoyed and I was out alla daytime. I only slept in that discusting Bates hotell. Please. Don't spoil your vacation just to save a hundred or two. I did and I strongly regret. About Dubrovnik In Dubrovnik the air is quite polluted and thick with car exhaust. This isn't a good place to visit for an allergig person as I am. It's better to choose a small town or a village to have a vacation. I fell in love with Croatia and I'll be back. But not to Dubrovnik. And definitely not to Atlantic hotel. By the way. There was a finnish couple in Vis hotell nearby. They told me that it is as horrible as Atlantic. Surprise!
Sunset on a high terrace, enjoying coffee disaronno, hot chocolates and red wine. absolutely wonderful atmosphere. In October its already chilly in the evening but we took the blankets to warm us up. Jaa tämä käännös TekstiviestiSähköpostiWhatsAppTwitterGoogle+
Just got back from a 3 day stay at the Hotel. When we arrived the hotel said the booking had been cancelled, I had proof that I had the booking and after talking to a very agreesive and rude man at reception and waisting almost 2 hours ring Super Escapes they confirmed there had been a mistake. We then proceeded to our room on the top floor - very very basis, shower was not working and water poored on to the floor in the bathroom, The wooden cloths cabinet was falling appart and the room was poor, complained to reception and spoke to the same man at reception who again very rude and I almost lost it with him. I complained to other members of staff not interested, Super Escapes were very unhelpful and said it was not there problems and I would have to send them a complaint, PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL. WE GO AWAY OFTON AND NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD TIME AND I INTEND TAKING ACTION AGAIST SUPER ESCAPES
The hotel is well situated, easily located and good for the price. It's true there are no lifts and no one to carry luggage but the rooms are clean, the linen and towels are regularly changed and the bathrooms have been recently modernised. The staff are both friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good with extensive choices in a pleasant room with great views across the bay. They also don't seem to mind you taking food out with you.
It's not that it's a 2 star hotel. It's that it's not up to 2 star. Star ratings are about facilities; there's no pool, no lift, when we stayed no restaurant or bar. But we didn't realise the lovely looking beach from area is rented by someone else. So there's virtually nowhere to sit and laze. And ratings don't take into account condition. Which is poor. Everything looks 60 years old, and given that was the '60's, that ain't good. The hotel may well say this was the fault of the listing site when we booked, but I don't subscribe to that. Although they should check. The best review was given to us by the tenant of the sea front bar area. She won't thank me for repeating it: "Hotel Adriatic is cheapest hotel in Dubrovnik. Rent there and you get nothing" I always try to be constructive in my reviews. The maid service was excellent. The location is great. [But everywhere else is expensive] There's a bus, #4 goes to the Old Town every 15 minutes dawn till 1 am. 15 kuna buys you a ticket for any bus travel for 59 minutes. The bars in the area only take cash. Would I go back? Not a hope in Hell. But then I probably won't be going back to Dubrovnik. It's too busy and too expensive.
The location is pretty good, we walked to the old town (about 1h) but there is also a direct bus right in front of the hotel. The rooms are as expected for ** hotel, older furniture and carpet although we did see some rooms being remodeled. Overall it was quite alright for the low price
We made the mistake of staying in this hotel. Although there are 5 floors, there are no lifts or any help to take your luggage up to your rooms. The staff at the reception is downright rude and surly. The room fixings are broken down. Latches are broken and the furniture is in a run down condition. On the positive side, the bus stand is next door and the breakfast is passable. Avoid this hotel like the plague.
