Great short ribs and fish and chips. Nice health club with hot tubs, steam and sauna plus a lap pool.

Loved this hotel. Easy/ fast check-in - they had our room ready for us way earlier than the check-in time. Our little one got even a VIP Kids baggy filled with fun stuff. Clean, comfortable, big room and exactly the same as in the pictures on the site. We booked this room for family of three and we got three separate beds - very convenient. Bar/ restaurant has good food and big assortment of fresh fruit (strawberries with whipped cream are to die for). Service was wonderful - they saved (at no request) extra fruit for our little one in the back fridge when we used to get back to hotel really late. Pool area was great too - clean and big (swim caps required, can be purchased there for few dollars). Hotel location is the best - 20 minute walk from the city center, cab ride for about $8 or hop-on-hop-off bus for $20/ person for 24 hours (bus stops right in front of the hotel). There is also a grocery store 5 min walk from the hotel too. We are already thinking of coming back there again!

The hotel has a dedicated and friendly staff, the room was clean and beds were comfortable, good option for families. Cons: no A/C which was very much needed for our August stay. The location is a bit distant from the center of the city and if purchasing the hop on-hop off bus make sure to select one that stops in this hotel (ours didn't)

Out of the way. Boring. Skin burned from the detergent and fabric softener in the sheets and towels, really dreadful. It reminded me of a Hostel for adults.

Great stay! Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, not to mentioned very central and easy to get around. Walk to city center is around 15 minutes, the City Bus Tour is right across the hotel, and the bus to the hotel/airport is right outside the hotel. Upon arrival, we asked the front desk for help with the tours/getting around, and they provided great local information for getting around the best way. Rooms were also very clean and had a great balcony view. Couldn't be happier visiting Dublin the first time and seeing the city with staying at this hotel.

The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and polite, they where happy to give directions and recomendations of local sites, and answer any questions we had.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable room with a very nice view! Will definitely stay again!

The exercise equipment was great. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Hotel was fine for the price. It is quite a ways a way to where much of the things to do in Dublin are.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. This is one of the most important things to us. Unfortunately another thing that we noticed right off the bat was the fact that the lobby seemed dirty. Not filthy, just in need of a decent scrubbing. The hotel restaurant and bar were overpriced as expected, but the bar was not so overpriced that you couldn't spend some time in there on the especially rainy nights. The hotel sits in a good spot. Its about a 5 minute walk from the busy parts of the city so you don't hear all the people and traffic you would staying right in the thick of it. In our room two of the lamps and out exhaust fan in the bathroom were broken which was disappointing, but it was easy to get over as the room was cheap. Service was always good with the exception with a real jerk that worked in the bar and seemed to hate his life, job, and everyone around here. We would definitely stay there again if we make it back to Dublin. The low cost compared to the hotels around it gave us a lot of extra money to play with while we were there. That's the real fun of a vacation.

very nice hotel, big room, nice bath, it was a nice stay but its a bit expensive.

good service, great athletic club, awesome pool, friendly

After a few weeks of driving around Ireland and staying in (very lovely but small) B and B's, walking into the Hotel Maldron Cardiff Lane was awesome. Very luxurious, super clean, and well staffed, with a couple of good bars, a decent restaurant, and nice areas to lounge. My room was very large, well appointed, and had a balcony with a view of the Liffey, all at a lesser rate than I found anywhere else in town. The hotel is also well situated- it is about a twenty minute walk from the center of Dublin, but its position on the Liffey is lovely, and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. If you wanted to take a taxi to town, it would cost you about 6 Euro. The only room for improvement is in the room service. The first time they sent up the wrong item, but were great and fast about replacing it. The second time they charged me for an add-on item that I did not request or receive. I did not notice the error until the next day when I reviewed the receipt. I assume that they would have made it right, but two errors in two orders are not good odds. Overall, a great experience. On any return trip to Dublin, Hotel Maldron Cardiff Lane has my business.

the gentlemen at the front desk, Martin was a very big help to us when we stayed at this hotel. He gave us excellent directions to Trinity college, good places to visit and an excellent local pub for music, food and laughs. They are lucky to have him on staff.

The staff were great from check-in thru check-out. The rooms were great for me and my 17-yr-old son and the hotel was great for walking to Aviva stadium for the Ireland rugby match and heading into the city for dinner and live music. They also had a great workout facility and pool, which is perfect for working off the breakfast buffet. The walls are a bit thin if you happen to have some late night partiers coming home and singing...

We only had 2 nights in Dublin. It's close enough to walk to Trinity/Grafton, Temple Bar areas yet is in a quieter area. Just what we needed. Nice big room for 3 adults. Very clean. Helpful staff.

We stayed at the Maldron Hotel, Cardiff Lane, Dublin, for two nights following a two-week vacation/40th anniversary tour of Ireland. It was an excellent experience! The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Dublin (Grafton Street and Trinity College, etc.), and not far from the Red line LUAS, with which we journeyed to the Guiness Storehouse--not to be missed! The hotel's Vertigo bar/restaurant was very comfortable to watch Irish football, and The Ferryman pub on the corner along the Liffey River was outstanding. We would be happy to return to the Maldron Hotel anytime we're in Dublin.

Room was comfortable and close to train and busses. Took the dart to Howth and really enjoyed the afternoon there. Would have spent more time at Trinity College but were on a tour and limited to time.

We stayed in Maldron hotel twice and both times were really impressed with the impeccable services, clean rooms, great gym, and very friendly staff.

Good hotel for the money and only 12 minute walk to downtown. The hotel was nice. The shower in our room worked but you could only take a warm shower as when we tried to take a hot shower the water still came out of the faucet and was scorching hot on your feet. Room 621
