⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing stay — poor management + cleanliness issues throughout. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel stay was truly disappointing + far below expectations. The management of the hotel is extremely poor; the property needs a lot more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.
Room: My room smelled of smoke, + the windows, sills, curtains were covered in a layer of dust and dirt. Room smelt damp, + the air conditioning was noisy. The bathroom tiling needs repair + the bath itself had a grimy film at the drain end, which clearly hasn’t been cleaned properly due to the fixed shower screen making access difficult.
Amenities: Towels are old + completely lacking in softness. Pillows were among the worst I’ve encountered — cheap foam, no 'give'. When I requested a feather pillow, I was given a small, damp, lumpy pillow in an oversized pillowcase.
Housekeeping: Service was inconsistent + poorly managed. Housekeeping staff came to my room to take the bathroom scales for another guest (!) — despite my objections — and I didn’t get them back until 4 days later, after repeatedly asking. The corridors were also in need of a proper vacuum.
Facilities: Rooftop area + gym: really dirty and poorly maintained. Tables/chairs covered in grime. Spa staff sleep overnight in treatment rooms -is this legal?!
Overall:
The staff were friendly and polite, but clearly poorly managed and unsupported. This hotel desperately needs leadership, training, and proper cleaning systems!
