Overall, it works. The rooms are a bit small and the side door never works, but it’s clean and decent. The staff seems young and inexperienced, but they are kind and helpful. Breakfast was good, but the service was slow on our Tuesday morning.
We booked this hotel based in the pictures on the Orbitz website, bug mistake. There was no jacuzzi, which was a huge disappointment to us.
I booked the room with the tub next to the bed, and I got a totally different room .
The staff were always all very nice and courteous especially Joseph who always went out of his way for the 3 days that I stayed here to help me in any way he could including finding me a room when every hotel room in the town was booked. The crab cake sandwhich is the resturant was wonderful and Bobbie was very nice. I really enjoyed this hotel and the room, but the staff made it more enjoyable.
I only stayed one night but it was a great night. Very clean, nice staff and comfy bed!
We only stayed overnight and spent most of our time in the casino. The staff are very nice and helpful and we like the hotel for being "pet friendly". We will go back as long as they stay "pet friendly".
Room was clean and comfortable and the hotel has a good location close to the casino/race track. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Staff at desk were very accommodating. However there were ants in our bathroom, no real pillows for the bed only small throw pillows and the bartender was in casual clothes watching tv , not very professional at all! I would definitely not go back there!
warm and welcoming!! clean and comfy!! we'd go back again and again.
from the entrance to the room...everything was beautiful and clean. will definitely return!!
It was a kind of in the middle hotel. Beds were awesome. Area was okay. Right next to dover downs was nice.
Staff Members are very courteous and try to accommodate any special needs.
Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. The hotel bar stayed open late (past 10) to serve our group.
I was very disappointed staying at this hotel. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn several times and have always enjoyed myself - not this time. First of all the elevator was a long way from the lobby and only one sign to guide you so I ended up asking someone where it was. The carpets were in serious need of a shampooing. The room was neat and nice. If you wanted to take a bath it would take a day due to lack of water pressure. We went out for the day and when we returned our towels we put out to be exchanged were still there and the housekeepers cleaning bottle was still in the bathroom. None of the towels had been replaced with clean ones. We called down to the front desk and they told us to gather our towels and come to the desk to get fresh ones - WHAT??? The TV only received a few channels. The pool was out of oredr and the computer room was out of order. Needless to say I was not happy with my stay at this Holiday Inn.
Room was nice, clean, good size. The complaint I have is that I booked the hotel in March for 2 queen beds non smoking room which was clearly stated on the confirmation. We stayed in the middle of July. When I called them before my stay, they told me that the 2 queens is not guaranteed and said I would only have one bed. I was with 3 other people and we booked this for the Firefly festival. After talking to them several times, they still said I wouldnt have 2 beds. We ended up buying a blow up mattress because of this. When we arrived to the hotel, we talked to them again and they eventually gave us 2 beds but it was a hassle when it shouldnt be.
Rooms were nice, we had handicap room which has a great shower. Don't bother with the shuttle though, we waited for an hour and he never showed.
Hotel staff at check-in were more interested in the phone that kept ringing and left me waiting a very long time to be helped. The room was very very dark, it smelled very musty and old, the pillows on the bed were similiar to brick-like throw pillows and my toilet and tv were broken. The pool was filthy with cigarette butts, tree funk, and afro hair extensions. Such a disgusting place to stay.
The first room had lamps that did not work and we had to go to another room. The bathroom was just adequate-not something you feel comfortable in. The staff was friendly-the price too high for what is offered.
