An amazing place to stay in, if visiting Doha. The rooms are big, equipped with everything you need ! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food is yummy, and I do not have anything but good things to say about this hotel!
I strongly recommend Al Liwan suites for staying. The suite (1BHK) was very clean and well prepared, the devices were high standard and working very well specially a washing machine which had a drying function, the staff was very helpful and cheerful through out the day and the night. The only negative point is the location of the hotel but it’s also an advantage that gives you all of these services with a reasonable value
I was for the first time in Doha and I was staying in the 4-star hotel Al Liwan Suites. The hotel is good and clean, the staff is very kind (especially Mr. Ahmed, Rooms Division Manager, and Mr. Richie at Reception). The suite was comfortable, with kitchinette, there were different toiletteries in the bathroom. The hair dryer was out of order, but I got at the Reception another one. I had my flight back home during the night, so they gave me late check out (3 p.m.) and possibility to have a shower in one of free rooms before departure. There is a free mini bus from and to the airport. The Breakfast, which was included in my price, was very good (hot and cold buffet), by muslim standards, of course, not big selection of meat and cheese, but lots of different salads and pastries. I missed some fish, e.g. smoked salmon. I could get every morning the delecious vegetable omellette. The water in the bathroom is not drinkable, so I got, at arrival, a free big bottle of water. I could buy other drinks (except alcohol) in the nearby market. Hotel is,unfortunatelly, "in the middle of nowhere", far from City Center (take a taxi or have a long walk!), in the bad, not very clean surroundings. On walking distance is the big, very well kept market Al Meera, where you can also buy all sorts of cold and hot meals, freshly prepared and not expensive.
I choosed this place because their Office replied quick on my request if an AirPort transfer was possible. The transfer was perctly carried out. IT was the best so far in Doha. The rooms are very spacious And comfortable. The had even 2 tv’s And a kitchen. The hotel spoiled me with complementairy snacks.
We booked this hotl as part of our 8 hour connection in Doha. I requested that they arrange a shuttle to pick us up which they did. The overall experience was great. An employee stood at arrivals with my name on a board and then guided me to their shuttle. Upon arrival, the check-in staff were very friendly and answered all our questions and concerns. The Room itself was very clean and cosy. I would definitely recommend this establishment. It was the cheapest and had the best value for money. Thanks for the great experience.
My family was to visit Doha for a month and after doing due diligence in searching for an accomodation for us, I settled on Al Liwan suite in Umm Ghuwailina. As I was in country I went there to check it out before the family arrived and I fell in love with the place at first sight. The manager mr. Joseph is a cool and a very helpful guy who went out of his way to give me the available options and made some sensible suggestion that made it easy for me to settle on this choice. When the family finally arrived, the check in was easy and fast. The staff on duty were very helpful. I got a fully furnished 1 bedroom suite, spotlessly clean with all the necessary appliances in place. The rooms are very spacious with a gym on the 6th floor and a swimming pool at the rooftop where you can unwind after a long day. During my stay I interacted with a couple of staff who were very friendly and welcoming. From the security guy at the main entrance to the reception. The housekeeper who ensured our room was always clean and neatly set everyday to one security personel, Edwin a very jovial man. Then there was the driver who dropped us at the airport on the last day. All these personel made our stay at Al Liwan very memorable. I cannot thank you all enough but would be coming back soon to this hotel for sure.
Our stay here was provided by Qatar Airways as part of their free stopover program. We had a lengthy gap between flights (6am-3am), so just wanted somewhere close to the airport to sleep for a while. Free transfers were offered - we had arrived ahead of schedule so we had to call the hotel from the airport information desk and wait about twenty minutes. All easy enough though. The hotel is certainly not in a tourist area, and I'm not really sure what its clientele would be. The decor is quite strange - a sort of sculpted concrete grotto entrance-way, "Arabian" furnishings, combined with a lot of heavy wood doors, and rather odd use of wooden branches for railings. Hard to describe, quite intriguing, but not immediately attractive when combined with sleep deprivation and jet lag. The room was actually a separate bedroom with twin beds, bathroom, and a sitting area with sofas plus kitchenette. Everything felt a bit dirty and musty, although the sheets were clean and we slept fine for most of the day. Unfortunately, I tried to use the kettle, but the plug wasn't the right sort for the sockets. I didn't see any evidence of room service, and I'm not sure that the restaurant served food outside of breakfast and dinner times. The roof top cafe mentioned on the website wasn't functional during our stay (I think there may have been maintenance or construction work going on). We ended up leaving in the late afternoon, and spending our remaining time at the airport. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are in the mood for odd decor and disconcerting ambiance, but would suggest you reconsider booking here if you are after a straightforward and comfortable stopover experience.
We had a 9 hour layover in Doha and decided to go for this hotel as they have a free shuttle to and from the airport. The shuttle is 24/7 and they meet you at arrivals, so no waiting around for set times, which was just what we needed. For this reason and based on the price we paid, I give the hotel 5 stars on tripadvisor. We booked the cheapest suite and it was more than big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The bedroom had 2 single beds and 2 extra beds were made up in the living area. Although we didnt use any of the facilities, I did see a washing machine, microwave, cooker, massive fridge and utensils, so if you are looking for self catering, it looks like a good option.
We decided to spend a night in Doha after our first ever 17.5 hour flight. (Not sure how we would feel after a single flight of that length) After booking it through the travel agent because of its close proximity to the airport, I would find it hard to rate it a four star hotel. Maybe the other rooms - but the standard suite was definitely only a 3 star. Aside from the no tea or coffee or facilities, there were lots of bits and pieces broken and not useable. But, we slept like a log and woke up feeling refreshed. The only thing to add would be that they are constructing a multi story building so the construction noise started before 6am when I awoke.
We stayed here one night during our way to France and its says 04 star while i was booking a Triple room. But there was only 02 separate beds when we enter the room. and toilets was very duty and not clean at all. Staff was very friendly but over all i must stay they have to maintain the star please do check and book its not worth for money that you are spending.
