Glenross is an old planter's bungalow that has been well maintained and is perfect for a getaway, The building has a very colonial feel which gives you a homely feeling along with the staff who are always trying to ensure your needs are looked after. The rooms are comfortable and very spacious. The scenery is breathtaking and there is so much of nature to inhale, you can also experience first hand the presence of squirrels, peacocks, iguanas and even monkeys. Perfect for that tranquil vacation where you want to connect with nature but with all the comforts of a luxurious stay.

We were offered the chance to stay here for 3 nights and so glad we did. This plantation house is not a 5 star concrete and glass property but a beautiful classic property full of character. The bedrooms are massive and spotless. The grounds are amazing with a great front garden overlooking the valley below ( Great to sit and have an early morning coffee) the back garden has the pool and is amazing, we had all sorts of wildlife around wth monkeys coming and going all day long, monitor lizards, mongoose and an abundance of birds. we have a guided tour around the plantation and was shown the tea picking, rubber trees with the harvesting of the rubber and the cinnamon as well. I must mentioned that we were well and truly looked after by the staff who were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Prasad, Upali, Nimal, Hareesh and Chef for making this stay truly wonderful. I would say this is a must for people to visit.

We spent 2 nights at Glenross in March this year (19) and had an amazing time. Our room was beautiful, very large, clean with everything we needed. The staff including Upali, Prasad, Limal and everyone behind the scenes made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The monkeys, mongoose, eagles and monitors kept us entertained. The scenery is fantastic, a memorable stay. It's a special place. Thank you.

This place is outstanding as there are only 4 bedrooms plus a swimming pool. The location of the place is remote in the rubber plantations which is owned by The Blue Water management. The view from the garden is just breath taking, plus there is wildlife If you stay at this place the chef from Blue Water will prepare all meals on site

Mr. Prasad welcomed us immediately upon arrival with open arms and an open heart. As he ushered us into the villa, we were astounded by it’s beauty. It is elegant and finely decorated. The food is of the utmost quality as we experienced the vast tastes of Sri Lankan cuisine. The presentation and beauty of the plates rivals the never ending beauty that surrounds this place. So come!!! Surround yourself with the views of valleys within the mountains. Explore the trails within the hills. Enjoy the company of monkeys, squirrels, and geckos. Appreciate the serenity and peacefulness of the trees, plants, and flowers. The villa is immaculately landscaped. Indeed this is a home away from home. Thank you so much for making our dream vacation come to fruition. You truly exceeded our expectations. We will be back !!!!

The villa is surrounded by lush greenery. Stunning views and tastefully appointed rooms. The villa had a pool, and all the luxury amenities one would require while still enjoying the stillness of nature. I enjoyed my stay and will be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

We stayed at Glenross for one week over Christmas 2018. We were one family, 2 adults and 3 children. We were made very welcome and comfortable. The meals were excellent and made to our requirements. We really appreciated the peace and tranquility of the place. We also enjoyed the gardens, the pool and watching the monkeys in the trees. The villa is surrounded by rubber and cinnamon plantations and visits can be arranged. We were especially appreciative of the efforts made to make our stay as pleasant as possible and for making our Christmas very special.

My Parents once owned this estate in the 1960's. We were fortunate to be able to live here during our impressional ages and had many family and friends join us during their school and overseas holidays. We returned to rekindle our memories with the same families and spent two nights at Glenross Plantation Villa. It was the most rewarding time of our holiday in Sri Lanka. The bungalow has been renovated and restored to a faultless degree making it a beautiful holiday villa and home to us again. The interior decor was so in keeping with the period of the home and flowers in the vases topped it all - all picked from the Glenross gardens The team of staff headed by Prasad were wonderful and displayed the unbeatable world renown Sri Lankan hospitality. We were served with fantastic and glorious traditional cuisine with the Chef doing all he could to please. Nothing was too much to make us feel welcome We were able to share stories of by gone days with some garden staff who still remembered our family. The gardens were beautiful so neat and tastefully displayed and manicured There were still some plants that my mother had planted - the bamboo hedge leading unto the bungalow the mango trees a few that I could still remember. The misty mornings felt like we were on an estate in the hills of upcountry Sri Lanka and all this just over an hour or so away from the capital of Colombo. I can only recommend whole heatedly that you stay at this property and guarantee that you will never be disappointed Thank you all at Glenross for the wonderful memories

My wife and visited this wonderful place today, it is located on a hills overlooking a beautiful valley, it is still a working planation of rubber and cinnamon as well as a tiny area of tea. We were given a guided tour and then had a refreshing swim in the private pool. This was very welcome as it was hot and sticky to say the least. Lunch was served outside overlooking the lawn, little imagination was needed to believe that we had been transported back in time and living in a different age. We were served a great selection of traditional curries, some were a little on the hot side for our western tastes. The soup starter was superb. Loved the location and tranquility, a real gem. Can't wait to come back.

Being 7 months pregnant, with two boys (5/10), Glenross was the ideal spot for a weekend away. Close enough to Colombo so travel time was minimal, yet it felt like it was a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Prasad and his team, were nothing short of excellent in terms of hospitality, efficiency and friendliness. They saw to our every need and obliged all our requests. They seemed to know what we wanted, before we even did, and it would magically appear! They were never imposing and seemed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings, appearing instantly when required or calls upon. The food was amazing....we had a wonderful barbecue the first night we were there, and all of us slept well after filling our bellies with an amazing array of dishes. We left after 2 nights several kilos heavier! The place itself is simply stunning. The massive bedrooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated, as is the whole bungalow. It feels as if you have stepped back in time to a bygone era, and you catch a glimpse at what life on a plantation estate must have been like! The luscious surroundings of the beautifully manicured gardens, and the setting within a rubber estate enhances the experience, adding to the tranquility and bliss. The pool and basket ball ring were added bonuses and kept the kids occupied, as did the numerous trees, boulders and gardens for them to climb and explore! The only complaint I have is the water pressure was inconsistent and sometimes there was no water, but it didn’t take long to rectify. We returned from or stay relaxed and ready to face the week. I look forward to returning very soon and staying for longer! Then we can explore the rubber plantation/factory as well as the cinnamon estate, as this time was all about relaxing! I can’t recommend this place enough! If ever you get the chance go!!
