Room was good size. Housekeeping team were very friendly and nice to deal. Digital check in and room selection was a plus as we could go right to our room when we arrived. Breakfast was decent for a hotel, several warm options along with normal continental offerings. Negatives the carpet in the room was nasty and dirty. every day had to clean the bed due to dirt coming in off feet from the floor. Bathroom, toilet dripping, shower door leaked water (bottom frame bent) Barn door to bathroom VERY difficult to move and no fan in bathroom. The room says comes with fridge, the fridge was either off (warm) or freezing items. Cost us several food items that spoilt due to this. Overall would say 7.5

The staff are very friendly and the condition of the building is generally very good: up-to-date, clean, and welcoming.. However, the quirks in our room were an exception. Here are several items that need correcting and the issues would appear to be not new: the toilet seat will not stay up and falls down at inconvenient moments; the toilet runs every 10 minutes for 20 seconds; the toilet paper holder aims down at the floor at an angle that causes the roll to fall off; the glass shower doors are mounted at enough of an angle that the doors roll open on their own - even when you are in the shower; the mirror on the bathroom/closet sliding door has a huge crack angling across the door; the outer door to the refrigerator cabinet slams shut with a loud bang unless the user prevents it from happening. This was all very surprising because it's a Hampton Inn, the staff are friendly and helpful, reception was friendly, easy and welcomed guests with plate of seemingly home-made chocolate chip cookies, the common area rooms were all very nice, and the breakfast was great. I hope there aren't other such rooms that take away from the general ambience of being a very nice place to stay.

I got to the hotel at 11:00pm. My reservation was for a room with 2 queen beds. My family went to get in the room and the door lock was broken so we could not get in the room. Hotel staff then changed our room to one with a single king bed for my family of 4. So ultimately I paid over $140 to be able to sleep on a couch in a room.

Great location

This was a great location - convenient to the airport, The Henry Ford and downtown Detroit. It was in a safe area and close to several breakfast option (not close enough to walk). The shower was hot with good pressure. There was daily housekeeping. My only suggestions for improvement would be to stock more than 2 bath towels and leave us an extra roll of toilet paper.

We chose this hotel for its convenient access to the expressway between Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. We were travelling on motocycle; and, wanted convenient and uncomplicated travel. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The pool was small and clean. Breakfast included hot sausage, eggs, waffles, and other amenities. The average nightly cost fit our budget as well.

The employees from the front desk to the room cleaning crew was some the best!! So helpful and Friendly they all deserve recognition for hotel of the year !! My room still looks like they just remolded and the whole place. I travel a lot with my business and my family looks like might be dropping my other big brand for you Hilton!!
