Comfort Inn Metro Airport

Easy pick up from airport. Good for a quick overnight stay. Breakfast starts and ends unusually early.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was convenient that the hotel served food at night and the food tasted good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn.

This hotel is perfectly fine. The room was nice. A bit small, but clean and perfectly suitable. The sheets were polyester, so I was sweating, then kicking off the covers, then freezing and pulling them back on until I was sweating again. The breakfast was great, especially for a free hotel buffet. Here's my "but." The staff was overly, uncomfortably nice. They called the room ten minutes after we got in (at about 8:30pm) to see if it was nice and if we needed anything. If it's not nice, we'll let you know. If we need anything, we'll let you know. I realize I'm complaining about niceness, but it was unnecessary and it woke up my baby who then cried and refused to sleep until after midnight.

The staff are very accommodating, will defiantly make sure your stay here is comfortable. They have the best cooks ever, we stayed for 2 days and everything we ordered from the menu, lunch & dinner was excellent! The free breakfast is great also...!

I have stayed here several times both before and after flights out from Metro Airport. Hotel staff are courteous and helpful, as are the hotel bar and grill employees. The hotel's shuttle to the airport, or to the various car park lots, is timely and efficient. The rooms are good-sized, clean, and comfortable. I have recommended this hotel to others, and will continue to do so.

Hotel, Lobby, breakfast facilities and food, all excellent. Shuttle service - horrible! Multiple phone calls, multiple promises and waited over 50 minutes for the shuttle to arrive and it was about a 5 minute drive to hotel. And I was waiting after 10:30 p.m. at night so it wasn't busy at that time of night. It was COLD waiting outside after multiple promises the shuttle was "5 minutes" away and it was 45 minutes later........

Nice hotel entry, but the room was too noisy. It was really difficult to sleep between the A/C and refrigerator noise. It is close and easy to go to the airport if you are going to pick up somebody. They also offer shuttle.

I got in late, around 9:30pm. I was traveling with my 2mth old baby. They say they have 24hr room service, so I drove straight to the hotel to order food from the room. I called many many times and the line was busy every time. I never got through. When I called the front desk asking about the room service, a girl named Ivan answered and told me to try again later because they are not affiliated with the restaurant and there was nothing she could do. I called several more times to the busy line and then to the front desk a second time about 20 minutes later to ask Ivan if she could please place the order for me because I was upstairs with an infant. She told me she couldn't and that to again try later because "maybe they will put the phone back on the hook". There were only 2 people sitting in the restaurant when I arrived. I waited over an hour, calling several times to to the phone off the hook before I finally ordered a pizza from Dominoes and had it delivered. The ac/heater in my room had the entire face broken off it (room 311) and I had to take off the whole huge plastic face piece in order to turn up the heat. The bottle of lotion in the bathroom had brown stuff all around the opening of the bottle. Gross. My sister was arriving even later that night and Ivan told me she would leave a key. She didn't and when my sister got there, they wouldn't let her upstairs. They tried calling my room but I was asleep. They finally let her after a huge hassle.

At check-in, mentioned to the desk staff the time change coming during the night (spring forward). They assured me they were on top of the issue. I used their standard procedure to get a 4 AM wake-up call. My aircraft was leaving at 6:10 AM. Well, of course the wake-up call never came. As a retired FedEx pilot, I knew not to trust the wake-up call and had set my own phone for 3 AM (Memphis time) so as to be awakened at 4 AM Detroit time. When I was checking out, I mention to the different staffer behind the desk that the wake-up call didn't come. She said that a number of customers had said the same thing. I mention that I had reminded the staff the day before; and she said there was something wrong with the phone system - evidently -. I said that was a lousy excuse. She said she just worked here and gave me the managers card. My point is that the time changeover screw up could be expected to have a tremendously negative impact. Folks missing flights is a serious issue when the hotel doesn't care enough to check and test their procedures / equipment ahead of a significant event. I'll bet next year the manager pulls his nineteen year old desk manager aside and reminds him of this years screw up and the same thing happens again. The manager should have focused on the possible problem and been on top of it. The security latch on the room door of 216 was missing.

Good location to the airport. Extremely clean hotel and rooms. Staffwas great. Only issue is with the sound proofing, I could hear the room next door as well as planes all night.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean everything was. Very comfortable and great breakfast.

Makes a layover painless and pleasant. We got in late a left very early. The van driver was accommodating and courteous.

Worked out fine for our road trip through the area. Clean rooms and friendly staff. I would recommend to a friend. Good value for the money.

Apart from the location which is just oout-there the bar and grill was great. I would definitely be back.

Nice facilitY, good breakfast. Pleasant desk help. Easy evening.

The hotel is close to the Detroit airport. i ended up there when Delta cancelled my flight. The hotel has a decent restaurant with a large menu and a bar which was opened until midnight and provided free room service. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and bathrooms clean. The only thing that was less than good was apparent lack of security outside. A group of people was partying and then fighting and yelling outdoors, very loudly, until 3 am and kept waking me up.

The hotel was clean the front desk crew was polite and professional, and the manager was attentive to my needs. The restaurant staff was very nice and my meal was good. The room was comfortable and clean.

Very nice room. Great bed. Nice linens. Nicely redecorated. Like and needed early breakfast. Didn't use but awesome to have restaurant on premises at night and available for room service. Like the flight boards in the entryway...very nice feature.

It was a quiet room. Heat was hard to regulate. The staff was helpful and paid attention to detail. The blow dryer in the bathroom did not work.. Breakfast was a good variety and I like that it was available for guests who had to leave early . This was a brief overnight stay so I don't know about all of the services available.

Location is perfect and affordable but room needs renovations. Come on you cant just paint on old stuffs! Closet, walls, bed, etc. has many torn parts. Room said non -smoking but the blanket they gave me had many burnt out spots from smoke. The HOT TUB they have are from 1980s. Only one person in the desk takes call and do services. Room service lady was very annoying as i was sleeping with do not disturb sign and she kept knocking for room service ...room service for 20 minutes at 8:00 am. overall good location, affordable but needs renovation !!!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your concerns. We do call each guest that checks in up until 9 pm and do a courtesy check. The reason for this is because we genuinely want to make sure that each room is what each guest expected and if there is any way we can make their stay more comfortable. Many guests will inquire about a room closer or further from the elevator or maybe request more towels. Often these same guests would have never asked and would have just been "ok" with what they were given. I do apologize on behalf of the entire staff for waking your child. That was never our intention and that is why we try to call within 10 minutes of check in. We hope that you will choose to stay with us again in the future and we will definitely honor your request to not receive a call.
