**Rating: (4/10)**We were honestly a bit disappointed with our stay. While the location was fine and the beach itself is beautiful, the condo didn’t quite meet our expectations based on the listing. A few things to be aware of if you're considering booking:* The **master bedroom does NOT have an ocean view**, which was a bummer. You only see the ocean from the living room.* The **curtains in the living room were broken**, so we had to use a hair clip to close them for privacy at night.* **Fridge and freezer didn’t work properly** when we arrived. We had to adjust the settings ourselves to get them to cool/freeze correctly.* **No oven mitts** in the kitchen, so we had to make do with towels for cooking.* The **washer/dryer is not in the unit**, it’s down the hall and costs \2.50 per load—something we wish we knew ahead of time.* Found a **long black hair in the bed** when we first turned down the blankets, which was pretty gross.* **No basic pantry items** like salt, pepper, or oil, which most rentals usually have as starter supplies.* Beach chair/umbrella rentals were **outrageously expensive**, much higher than what we’ve paid in nearby areas like Fort Walton.* The **main pool closed at dusk**, which was frustrating since our kids love to swim. The other pools got overcrowded quickly.Overall, we felt the value just wasn’t there compared to other places we’ve stayed. Fort Walton has fewer crowds, better prices, and less hassle. Probably won’t be back.

Beautiful condo and the view is amazing!!

Beautiful condo decorated so beautiful for the beach. View is amazing!! Pools and facilities were awesome and so much fun. Only thing could have been better was the room hadn’t been swept or mopped, we were able to get ahold of some one very quickly to address the issue. The ac was a little warmer than we like but they did bring us some fans we used and we were fine.Over all wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!!

Perfect family getaway.

The unit we stayed in was exactly as described and our family members that were in other units kept commenting how they thought ours was so nicely decorated and the view was perfect. All beds and linens were comfy and the kids loved the bunk beds. The guy running the chair rental stand on the beach, Ivar, was super nice and efficient. All of the pools and amenities of the resort were wonderful. You really never even have to leave the resort unless you just want to go do something specific.

The view of the gulf was impressive. The fifth floor was just right for us. Floor needed to be mopped better. My wife and I had to keep washing our feet. Cannot forget phone in room so can get back in with complicated code.

Clean?

The grounds are great but the unit itself was questionable. We walked in and instantly could smell weed. Sat down on the couch and found a baggie of the joints on the bottom shelf of the coffee table. Contacted the property owner who never bothered to respond. I had asked the property owners if the door code had been changed due to finding weed and being concerned that someone would come back to get it, again they didn’t bother to respond. It really begged the question whether or not anything had even been cleaned. I would recommend the complex but not this unit.

May or may not Rent this condo again

Probably our 4th or 5th time to stay at the Pelican. This was our least favorite of all the condos we've leased. Mostly because of the cleanliness this time. Kitchen stocked well. Condo has cute decorations. Comfortable seating. Nice balcony furniture. Not enough washcloths for three people. Location of condo and property both good. Great views. It's too expensive a unit to not allow the occupant full control of the central air. 70 is too hot for most people and that is as low as you will be allowed.

Beautiful!

Such a great trip. The room helped make the vacation that much better. Very convenient to everything, right on the beach with an excellent view of the ocean, pool below, nice balcony to watch from in the mornings. Just sensational all around! Definitely Five Star vacation.

It was a very nice stay we enjoyed the beach view from our balcony. The pool was nice. The living room tv doesn’t have cable but you can stream from there oh and the clock in the kitchen always says 11:30 lol it was an awesome stay and we will definitely be back
