Great Vacation

We love the condo. The location was perfect, close to everything. The condo itself was great. The cleanliness of the place was good except for the sand all over the floors. The construction was a little off putting, but the Sundestin did not disappoint. The bar restaurant was really good. Great food.

Ok but needs a few things

Lobby area was nice. Check in was easy. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Condo itself was ok. Floors were dirty and gritty from sand. Seemed like it wasn't swept very well. Didn't say anything because I wasn't sure if we had brought the sand in with us but others staying there had the same problem. Other than that was very clean. Could never figure out how to get the tv in the living room to work which wasn't a problem since it was just my husband and myself. We just watched tv in the bedroom when needed. There was only a tv stand in the bedroom for a dresser which is not big enough for 2 people let alone the 4 it's supposed to sleep. There was also only 2 stationary hangers in the closet, so no where to hang any tops/sundresses. Ordered pizza one night and the next day went to heat up the left over breadsticks and realized that there were no pot holders. I had to use one of the hand towels folded over several times to pull the hot sheet pan out of the oven. This was on top of not only the outside pool closed due to renovations (which booking site said would be completed not later than 6/15 we checked in on the 16th) but the indoor pool was also closed for 2 days due to "foreign matter" in it. This normally wouldn't have been a problem. But with double red flags all week a pool would have been nice to have. Overall it was a good vacation for us, but I will probably not book a condo managed by Vacasa in the future.

Absolutely Disgusting Property & Service

We checked in July 2 and were excited for another amazing stay, although the unit we stayed at last year was booked, but knew that we would still have the same level of service and unit quality. WRONG! We got in & noticed the couch & loveseat had food or bodily fluid stains on them where our son would be sleeping. We went to Walmart and got the basics… milk, eggs, etc & cleaning supplies. We went back & cleaned the couch as best we could and sprayed Lysol everywhere because clearly it wasn’t clean! We ordered pizza & took plates out to eat. They were put up wet and still had food on them, so I had to scrub dishes by hand before we ate off of them. I contacted Vacasa, “sorry we will send someone to your unit to clean it when you’re out”. We went to sleep & woke up next morning sore because the bed was shaped like a banana. I went to give my son cereal; everything in fridge was warm. We called property manager & they sent maintenance up who said that the cleaning ladies spray out fridge/freezer & leave it open until they are done cleaning unit; it takes 8-12hr to cool back down again (what??). We went to take showers and there were what looked like blood stains on towels. I contacted Vacasa again: “we will send someone to clean”. I said well they can bring clean towels, but unless they are going to bring a new mattress/couch not much they can do. Then they said they were sending someone to steam clean couch, but it would be wet for at least 24hr. I wish I could type more!!!

Perfect Beach View

Short family vacation in early June. We spent most of our time on the beach which had perfect white sand. Beach has easy access from condo. Bring your own linens if you’re using the pullout couch. Check in and checkout was a breeze!

Amazing views and location

This condo was in a great location and had wonderful ocean view. Great staff all around. My biggest negative is the condo needs not could use needs a deep cleaning and don’t get me started on the bed.. Destin was great overall and this resort has a good location.

Could use some TLC.

Overall the unit was acceptable but there were some issues-the bed was very soft, caused by ill-fitting egg crates on top of a thin mattress, the smoke detector was hanging open, there were dirty towels left behind, no compatible tv remote in the bedroom so couldn’t be watched, bedroom screen door off track and couldn’t be used, never could connect to WiFi even after phone calls to management, no blankets in unit or available, kitchen cabinets were peeling, decorative accessories were broken and bedroom flooring strips kept coming up. All these things added up and the unit didn’t seem well maintaining with little pride taken in the property. A little maintenance goes a long way. Will not book this unit again.

The only thing that I did not like was it was the floors were not very clean and the sink in the bathroom was very slow. But overall it was a nice getaway!
