I arrived in the room and the heat was not working. The office is not staffed overnight at this time of the year, so I had to reach out to the emergency line. After several phone calls, a space heater was brought to the room. That device was 1) not going to heat the room thoroughly and 2) was not safe to be running in a room overnight- especially a room with a child in it. It took over a dozen phone calls to get moved to a new room and that was not until almost 11 PM. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Their customer service was not good and the fact that they thought it was ok to run a space heater overnight is not safe.

PROs: Staff is very helpful. This was a great place to stay, the pool was very nice. I loved that there were fire pits. There are Smart TVs so you can stream stuff if you need a down day. It’s very nice have a kitchenette, microwave etc. Cons: Some of the mattresses may need to be replaced. If you have any difficulty walking or have back or knee problems request a first floor room. Some rooms are pretty far from the parking lot and then you have to carry luggage up a lot of steep stairs if on 2nd floor. Staff was very nice and will help you. No coffee makers in room, you have to go to lobby to get coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed was the most uncomfortable brand new bed I’ve ever slept it. Huge crater in the middle and you could feel all the internal framing. I was convinced it was 50 years old, but it was brand new. Hotel is being converted. While design forward, nobody actually thought about practical use—for example, the wet bathroom looks nice but doesn’t work when there is no counter to put anything on. Toilet seat was so cheap it was already broken and had probably never been used. Bed was horrible. Looks cool but up close is just a one star experience.

Lovely Retro styel motel. rooms as pictured online .staff was lovely. the window were non insulated so the outside guest noise at times was noticeable. yet part of the VIBE .

Great location! Nice property. Had issues with the smoke alarm going off in my room one night, the staff wasn’t super courteous but they were efficient and checked the equipment as soon as I reported the problem. A bit frustrating no one is readily available in the late evening/overnight.

Good location

Other than the beds there is no furniture in the room. No dresser or table or chairs. Not even a luggage rack. Nowhere to put your stuff except a cubby set up that takes up the entire closet. Bathroom design is a terrible accident waiting to happen. Slippery tub that you must climb into to turn on the faucet due to a permanent glass door. Very dangerous for children and mobility issues.

Great stay

My husband and I ended up driving out to the cape earlier than we had planned so we needed to find a last minute place to stay. The price was reasonable (a Wednesday at the end of August) and the location was ideal. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was great! We booked a king room right near the pool. It was super quiet, great shower, and very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the patio out front of our room when we arrived Wednesday evening and even managed to sneak in some time on the pool deck before we left. The only small issue we had was trying to locate front desk personnel for check out morning but all staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It is within walking distance to a small park and a quick drive to Cape Roots which is a great breakfast spot!

This property is basically exactly what my family expected. A cleaned up old motor lodge with some solid amenities. Bed was new and comfotable. Indoor and outdoor pool were nice. There are many gas fire pits that we utilized, but it is not that obvious how to use them. You need to use a key to open the gas then use a lighter to light them. I am familiar with these so no issue but i can see it as an issue for other guests. There are plenty of resturants and beaches within 10-20 min. We really liked Mayflower beach. I would definitely stay here again. It was a good value for what they provide.

The rooms were dark (there's a large window which let's in a lot of light, but for privacy the shades needed to be drawn at all times, and the lighting in the room was pretty dim. Our bathtub drained very very slowly, which wasn't a huge problem, but wasn't great.

Not worth it

The hotel seems to be ran down. Damp smelling room, ripped out fixtures in the bathroom,no room for towel or toiletries, not even one hook. Damaded table, stained bedding, microwave full of previous guests food. Molded tissues in the tissue box.Room itself contained two beds, table and tiny shelf between beds to fit two phones, opening in the wall had few hangers serving as a closet. Your luggage and belongings can only be stored on the floor. Door rattles in the frame when the wind blows. Worse of all it feels like staying under the jungle gym, every move guests above make wakes u or sounds like ceiling will collapse. Dated pool with missing tiles, rusted over furniture and fixtures. Pool cleaning I guess happens once in a while, debris is a constant. Dryout grass and look of abandonment. Parking not efficient so guests park anywhere and caused damage/dents to our car. Lobby hours laughable and management or care nonexistent. The only plus is that its pet friendly place so thats what kept us there. Not a place to stay beyond one night, no rest or relaxation by busy street location. Couple restaurants close by but nothing to come back to.Public beach -tiny.

This is the third time I’ve stayed here and I keep coming back because I love the area and I love the staff. It’s a cute little hotel as the years have gone on. You can definitely tell that the buildings are being well left.
