We stayed at this resort last year and was not impressed. However I gave it a 2nd chance after finding out the resort was renovated and I'm glad I did. We had a 2bed/2bath limited ocean view condo. The kitchen had everything we needed with one exception. I wish it had an oven. The bed was comfortable and everthing was decorated perfectly. The staff was great and we are looking forward to coming back.
We spent two nights and had a great time. Room was very clean and recently remodeled with all new appliances, furniture, bedding. Pool area is fairly small but not too crowded. They have a bin with shared beach toys such as buckets, shovels etc which was nice since we flew there. Corn hole, shuffle board, chess etc for fun. Nice grill. Parking was limited wit some maintenance but we parked across the street. Free coffee and hot chocolate in lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Right beside the life guard station so felt safer with kids.
Checked out yesterday morning after a 5 night stay at Casa Del Mar. This is the 6th year in a row that my hubby and I have stayed at Casa. This year in addition to my hubby and myself, we took our grandchildren (ages 10 and 7). My bro-in-law, sis-in-law and their granddaughter were also staying in a separate room. Check in was simple. We arrived around 3:30 and were able to check in and go directly to our room. We were in room 109...studio oceanview. The refurbishments in the room are nice...nothing fancy, but nice. The carpet is gone and new, dark colored laminate flooring is now present. New closet doors, sofa and dresser also in the room. The kitchen layout is the same except the dishwasher is now located at the end of the cabinets instead of under the sink. The apartment size range has been replaced with a 2 burner cook top and a microwave/convection oven above the cook top. The sink is much smaller and no longer as a garbage disposal. Full size frig/freezer with ice maker. All appliances are now stainless still. The bathroom is still small, but adequate for a couple or a family with young children. There is no longer a bathtub. The tub has been replaced with a shower which is the length/width of the previous tub. The room is an adequate size for a couple with smaller children but with older children or 2 couples, I would pick a bigger unit. Everything in the unit was clean and odor free. We did find the unit to be very dark. There are 2 recessed lights above the kitchen counter and the small light on the microwave which lights the range top area. It was almost impossible to read the buttons on the microwave without using the flashlight on my phone. There is no lighting over the table. There are 2 small table lamps on either side of the bed. There is no lighting near the sofa. Lighting the the bathroom was good with a well lit mirror. Not sure who designed the lighting layout, but I hope some changes are made for the rooms that have not been refurbished yet. The laundry room changes are also a complete failure. This property does not have washers/dryers in the units, but has laundry in a central location on the Lobby floor. The laundry room previously consisted of six washers and 6 dryers, but has been cut in 1/2. There are 3 washers and 3 dryers now. There are no tables to fold your laundry on. While I was taking laundry from the washer, 3 ladies with laundry walked in with full baskets of dirty laundry. Only one person was able to take my empty washer. The lighting in the laundry room also needs to be adjusted as it's on a sensor that turned on when I entered the room, but turned off before I could get the laundry out of the washer. Maybe some additional laundry facilities could be added to another floor during the continued refurbishments. Parking is at a premium right now as there is work going on in the back parking lot and in the parking garage. My husband took the last parking spot in the garage one evening as all the outdoor parking spots out front were full and the fire lane out front was parked full. My husband commented on this to the front desk and was told he could park across the street in the empty gas station lot. This response bumped his b/p up a bit as we've been owners for 12 years and have paid a lot to have a parking spot. Also, my husband has been a commercial construction superintendent for 20+ years and is aware that it's completely against the fire codes for people to leave cars parked in a fire lane where, in the event of a fire, the fire department has no access to the fire hydrants or room for their vehicles. The resort should work on one area of the parking lot at a time...first the parking garage and then the back parking lot or vice versa. Over all, I would definitely return to Casa Del Mar because the location on the beach is wonderful and it's away from the craziness in Daytona Beach.
Well let's start with the good since there's not very much of it the staff was very nice and accommodating the rooms were all remodeled and that's where it ends this hotel needs a lot of work while you can see they are trying it should probably be shut down while they are remodeling it the hot tub did not work no workout facility and the whole hotel was very dirty not a pleasant stay unless you want to stay in your beautifully remodeled room only definitely would not recommend this Resort however about 8 miles down the road in Daytona that blue green property is excellent
We stayed at this location for 2 weeks. We are a family of 5 and had the 2 bedroom with the kitchenette. The beds are very comfy and the rooms are nice and new. A TV in each bedroom and the living area. Kitchenette is small but we made 90% of our meals in the room and got groceries from the local Publix. The main area in the room is a little dark but it was lit with artificial lighting. The pool was very nice and warm. The kids liked to play the shuffle board and walk in the beach. We were very happy with the resort and the staff was friendly and helpful.
We had a 2 bedroom suite which was very nice..2 bathrooms and a powder room. We had a balcony with a partial ocean view. The unit was very clean and comfortable. I loved the king size bed. Lots of pillows...Flat screen tv's in the two bedrooms and the living room.
We are long time owner with Bluegreen resorts, we stayed at Casa Del Mar for our beach vacation and was completely satisfied with our stay. Nice room, most with views of the Ocean. The resort being located very close to Daytona without the traffic Daytona has. Plenty of places to visit and dine within walking distance. The rooms are clean ans spacious. The lobby area is bright and clean, the staff is very friendly.
WEE are Bluegreen members and have stayed here before and were happy with our stay in the past and we're not disappointed. We stayed in a 2 bed 1 bath of. The resort was recently renovated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The layout was a little strange with the bathroom just as you walk in and then into a hallwat to the kitchen and living area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were actives, bar area,pool and access to the beach just steps away. We were very pleased and have another week booked the end of August and looking forward to it!
My husband and I stayed three nights here and found the accommodations to be very nice as the entire resort had been recently renovated and updated. Our room was well equipped with all new appliances, furniture and kitchen accessories. Although small, it had all we needed for our short stay. The pool and deck are both large with a hot tub, outdoor chess, shuffleboard and many lounge chairs. We also enjoyed having basement parking for our car, keeping it protected from the weather. Note: This is a timeshare resort and the management wants to invite you to a "talk" although it is not mandatory. It is possible to rent here without owning.
We have stayed here during spring break for several years. This resort is very family friendly and we enjoy it year after year. This year was amazing and the newly renovated rooms are perfect. It is so nice to stay at a place that is not 30 stories with 1,000 of people.
