Sonesta in Richardson is beautiful. The customer service provided by Jemini was truly welcoming upon my arrival. She went above and beyond to help me with my room and location. Lydia, was also very pleasant. I usually stay at a Marriott, but I must say, Sonesta is beautiful, clean and when customer is above and beyond it really made my traveling much easier. I had to extend my trip another week. This Sonesta is truly clean and beautiful but I decided to extend due to the exceptional customer service provided by Jemini, Lydia and kind interactions with other employees.
The location of my room was perfect! I’m able to watch the sunrise…

First thing when checking in they made us put a $100.00 deposit down in case anything went missing from the room. When checking in we were told we would have breakfast available for purchase(no continental breakfast). We went into the room and trashcans had no trashcan liners and a cheap sign stating what each item in the room cost should it leave while we stayed there. We found our way to the line for breakifast, the lady was making cold sandwiches so we went to Waffle House instead. As we checked out this morning, We asked for a receipt and they stated we get it from who we booked the room through. We gave them a $100.00 deposit and we did not get a receipt for that either. We also got a note that rooms would not be cleaned due to the holiday. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. When asked where we stayed, nobody had heard of Sonesta. Sonesta is drilled into our brain to never grace their doorway again.
