The first two days were horrific. The hotel (especially the lobby) smell like cigar or weed. I don't know exactly what the issue was but it's terrible. The hallway smell the same. But somehow the room was okay. Not that bad inside the room. That's strange. This hotel has potential to be great if they clean it up well. After the 3rd day, they started to clean the lobby only and it was much better. I would not recommend anyone to stay here until they clean this place up. I had to check out one day early because of this issue. The moment that I leave the hotel, my clothes smell like cigar or weed.

Renovations to the room were haphazard. Family in another room had a cockroach in there and I saw one in the hallway the next morning. The hot tub wasn't up to proper temperature. The pool water was cold. Workers in the hotel hit a water line or something causing the fire alarms to go off for a very long time. Hotel staff couldn't figure out how to turn them off on our floor. Then water had to be turned off in the hotel for several hours and hot water wasn't available for even longer. Breakfast was good and had Texas shaped waffles. Staff were nice except for one guy at the front desk.

This is the second time staying at this location and both times we had a great experience! Staff is always helpful, our room was clean, the breakfast was good, the hotel is affordable and the amenities are kept nice. We will likely be coming back the next time we are in the area.
