Check in was fast. Room received early before 2pm. Staff was very helpful & courtious & location was great. However, breakfast menu needs improvement. Variety is the key! The theme was very much the same for the entire 28 nights we were there sợ ít got quite boring! Another issue we had was insects treatment was carried out on our floor without informing guests. As a result, the fume became toxic & we had to request for moving to a different level. Otherwise, ít would have been a pleasant stay. Finally, a shout out to restaurant service staff, anh Gia, Giang, Hoa, Dung & chefs, cleaning staff all doing a wonderful job!

The room was spacious, and I walked to the Dragon Bridge around a mile away. There was food to be had in that direction as well, but the breakfast in the restaurant is wonderful. Great, great value for my stay. Staff was nice, too.

Initially it was off to a bad start with a pre booked pick up from the airport to the hotel with the hotel and after arriving at Danang airport travelling solo and being a 64 year old woman, I was very concerned when there was no one to pick me up. As I don’t have internet I asked another driver to ring G8 Luxury Hotel to find out what happened. The driver arrived nearly an hour later. G8 gave me a free upgrade as an apology and I didn’t have to pay for the pick up. However, there was no hot water in the room they gave me but quickly relocated me to another. Communication was hard as only 1 person spoke basic English. After the initial hiccups, everything went well. I would have rated this hotel 5 stars if it wasn’t for these issues.

Although this hotel is marketed with spa facilities. The spa was totally empty. There was no customers and no therapists to be seen although there was a receptionist who had limited ability to communicate in english. It did not give me the confidence that I could enjoy a good massage there. Maybe the therapist/masseur would come if I had booked a massage, ie come as per booking but I did not test that out. The room was clean and good and had good city view. I did not buy the breakfast buffet, cannot comment. The restaurant was also empty and quiet. Again, that did not convey confidence in me to try a meal there.

Really impressed with my room. Was it very large and so was the bathroom area. Amazing views of the city too from it. For once during my vietnam trip, the breakfast had decent vegetarian options. Staff were pleasant. I also ordered a driver from the hotel to take me to Hoi an and back. This was also excellent service. Expedia asked me if i had received the VIP upgrades linked to my booking. I may have done but not sure (may have received but not informed possibly due to language barrier)

Good quality & convenient location

We chose the hotel as it was close to the train station for out heritage train trip to Hue. Check in was poor. Fair enough room wasn’t available at 1pm but we just had to sit and wait with no further communication until 2.30pm. Check in was supposed to be 2pm. We suspect we were forgotten about until my wife caught the eye of one of the reception staff. Plenty of staff but perhaps because of language barrier we just didn’t feel welcome when we arrived. Strangely there was more warmth at check out when they were seeking a good review. Porters are quite happy to let you open your own doors upon returning to the hotel; wouldn’t want to interrupt their chats. Didn’t get to try the pool or gym, but the room was good. High quality, near new fittings and appliances and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is ok, less choices than other hotels we stayed at in Vietnam and less proactive staff. I think the hotel is suited more for local and Korean guests but considering the price we paid, it is fine for a short stay.
