6-week Cuenca stay

Very convenient to historic Cuenca via tranvia (inexpensive electric cable car) and only a 2 block walk to a very good. large grocery store where there are also a few casual eating, pharmacy, clothing, etc shops. A walk into town is only 15-20 minutes for a good walker.2 large bedrooms, kitchen, dining and desk/internet area. LOVE the full-size washer & dryer just off the kitchen and all kitchen appliances work. Plenty of warm covers on each bed, necessary because like many Cuenca homes, there is no heat. The host was always easy to contact and helpful.This is a secure location with very attentive, friendly doormen at the big car and pedestrian apartment complex gates. The people here are lovely, kind and helpful -- unless they are behind a steering wheel (pedestrians do NOT rule!). Try all the bakeries, candy/sweet shops and wide array of restaurants: Inca Lounge and Tres Pizza on the river walk, elegant Matilde's and the delightful 3-3.50 multi-course lunch spots that frequent downtown.
