All Inclusive package was not worth it, food had very limited options. Also, the beach had no umbrellas and the chairs were uncomfortable.

Incredible location, great beach, rooftop pool

Great staff! Very quiet area.

Al in all, nice place that I would recommend to a friend. Staff was very friendly and professional. And attentive. Beautiful views, comfortable restaurants. Somewhat limited dining options and the food is pretty average. Not really near anything, so plan on cabs. Or rent a car, but we didn’t and happy with that decision as we would not have used it much. We rented a scooter at the property and it was a great way to get around.

We enjoyed the overall atmosphere and helpfulness of all staff from the front desk to the wait staff were always helpful and friendly. Great service from all restaurants and the snack bar and the food was excellent.

Great place, all the servers were very nice

The food for an all inclusive was great and most drinks were strong enough. I wish they had more umbrellas and the nicer chairs by the water. The towels for pool/beach area was not easy to find and not marked at all. The spa treatment was excellent and we found we had great service if we tipped the staff!

Staff very attentive and friendly

Westin Cozumel is a beautiful, modern , rather new ( at most 5 years ) old hotel . Situated a few miles from the airport and downtown San Miguel . The vast majority of the rooms have balconies , which I recommend, as the views sitting there are breathtaking of the turquoise waters and Playa de Carmen in the distance . The meals were not only delicious, but the presentation was almost as good . They formerly had only a la carte, but now offer all inclusive dining , as well . The beach is small but snorkeling there is fun with many different fish to see . Service was wonderful. Thank you Edwardo , Erbé , and German , to mention only a few of the staff who made us feel so welcome . I’m guessing that Covid is responsible for the limited number of guests when we were there . As a result , one of the restaurants was closed . Employees all wear face masks correctly and there are numerous sanitation stations throughout the hotel to dispense lotion . My only complaint is that the shower door swings outward and is so close to the floor that you can’t have a towel waiting on the floor , which is tile , and gets wet and slippery, when you exit .

The Western Hotel is a very good property, that me and my wife enjoyed. My only complaint was the large fountain area where water was own the floor where my wife slipped and fell down. Luckily for us my wife works out in the gym 3 days a week. The food was great and the staff friendly. The Chief Eduardo is a great 👩‍🍳 Cook.

The rooms are nice and the air conditioning is good. The glass shower is pretty but has huge gaps so water pours out all over the floor. You can not change from the rain head to the hand held shower, they are both on at all times. We came back each day to a beautifully cleaned room with lovely towel art. The restaurants food is just ok. The hours and locations of the 3 bars are awkward, and you have no access to adult beverages after 10:00 pm. We bought an all inclusive stay and it really wasn't. For room service, you are charged $3.15 each time and have to pay it then, they won't charge it to your room. They won't charge tips to your room. We were told we could rent tanks from the dive shop for diving, then went to rent them and the dive shop said no they don't rent them. For the Covid testing were told they do them at 10:00 am. Then on the day we needed it, they were full and the charge was going to be $30. We had to go elsewhere for them and it was cheaper. They were not helpful with that. On the final day, we asked about a late check out due to our flight not leaving until 6:00 pm. We were told 12:30 was as late as we could check out. We offered to pay for a day rate and was refused. We were told that we would be allowed to leave our stuff in the lobby and still enjoy all the amenities until we left. We ordered a drink and the manager on duty walked over and cut our wrist bands off and said we had to pay for anything else. We will never stay here again.

The staff was very nice here, so I do not want my review to reflect negatively on service. However, this property was lacking in quality for us. At first glance, the property looks modern and well built, but then you notice the lack of attention to detail on the finishes. Masking was not completed before painting and so there is paint on glass railings, and any other surface adjacent to what was to be painted. There was mildew in the shower, and the caulking in the bathroom looked as if it had been completed by a 5 year old. I do not understand how Westin allows this to represent their brand. The food at this location was sub-par. We tried the buffet food, but it was bland and dry. So, we ordered from the chef’s menu and the food was better, but not overly so. I also found the use of film plastic to wrap silverware and other items completely irresponsible. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel/ resort.

The property is newer and beautiful. Not much beach (expected) but great snorkeling. The staff is very friendly but was stretched a bit thin. Food was average. Service was rather slow. We did all-inclusive and had to sign a check for every tab which sometimes took 30 minutes to get. Dinner can take 2.5 hrs. The property is adjacent to some other great dining and only minutes from downtown. We’d definitely stay here again.

First the bad, then the good. There are a lot of minor to moderate annoyances. They build into us deciding we would not stay at this hotel again. The shower leaked a significant amount into the bathroom. Our friends room had the same problem. During heavy rainfall, wind would push water inside the first couple of feet of the hotel room. The lunch and dinner service took forever, with no buffet option to speed things up. Several times my kids were falling asleep waiting for food. Also, the food menu did not change at all. Meals got really repetitive. There were no options to get snacks (bananas, bars, etc.) between meals. Alcoholic drinks were very weak…as expected. The real problem is they tasted terrible. Any mixed drink like a Miami vice, sex on the beach, etc. had almost no sugar or flavor at all. Was like drinking whipped milk with no sugar or alcohol. Not worth even spiking with your own alcohol. Most annoying was the bill. We HAD to sign the bill at the end of each meal even though it was clearly $0.00. They would literally chase you down to sign it. The kids club was very small with little to do. We had to pick them up midday so the staff could eat lunch for an hour. We felt bad leaving them there. The good…rooms are all beachfront and it’s a very short walk to the beach itself. Lots of great snorkeling. I wasn’t asked a single time to buy a timeshare at the hotel. The food itself is above average for an all inclusive.

The staff went above and beyond what we expected! From check in all the way until we pulled out we felt seen and heard by the staff. Check in -- our room wasn't ready right away but they held our bags for us and we were able to enjoy the resort and our all-inclusive perks while we waited. They gave us a later check out since we had to wait a little longer to check in. All-Inclusive -- we really feel like we made the most of our all-inclusive package but if you don't plan on drinking it might be best to pay separately. We did tip our servers on top of everything. Food and Drinks -- the food wasn't anything crazy amazing but we did find something on every menu that we really loved! There is one restaurant for breakfast and when that closes for the day the lunch/dinner restaurant and snack bar at the pool opens up. There is always something open for food. We especially loved the servers coming to us on the beach and pool to take orders and bring us our food and drinks. Room -- all rooms seem to be ocean view. Most have a balcony but ours just had a floor to ceiling window. The rooms were very clean. We definitely plan to go back to the same resort! Seeing frequent guests and the relationships that they had formed with the staff was really cool to see and we hope to see them again!

Staff was very friendly, the hotel was well maintained.

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. The staff and the property were great in every way! We visited shortly after the travel restrictions were lifted and Cozumel is doing everything possible to control the risks. Many stores on the strip were still closed but those that are open were so thankful to see visitors. No crowds anywhere and everything was so enjoyable.

The Westin was very very clean and a very relaxed environment I loved it! The food was amazing and the drinks as well!

Kind people, great ocean access, excellent food. We will return!
