Campanile Dijon St Apollinaire

We stopped here overnight during a leisurely drive to Italy. We chose a Campanile for our first night because we thought we knew what to expect: no frills, good value, guaranteed standards of cleanliness, decent food. All those expectations were met: our room was warm and comfortable, with a modernised bathroom, TV and a good wifi connection. Dinner and breakfast were fine. The staff were welcoming. What more could one want? It's worth adding that the hotel is situated in a satellite conurbation a few miles from the city centre, and is not that easy to locate after dark! So check details of how to get there before you set out.

I’m sure we stayed here in last 18 months but didn’t write a review. Anyway it’s a well placed hotel near motorway. About 4kms from town centre, but an easy walk. Dijon centre is worth visiting for its many interesting and historic buildings. Hotel room was clean, modernised and comfortable. We had a good meal in their restaurant and also had breakfast the next morning. Very polite and helpful staff too. We’ll use it again.

always good quality at a reasonable cost from Campanile. Comfortable and well run, only comment was Air-con wasn't working but not that important in October. Friendly and very efficient staff and a good quality evening meal.

Lovely and friendly staff, Very clean rooms and a lot more Space than we had anticipate was a last minute thing as We were doing a road trip through France and the was definitely appreciated. Not somewhere to stay long term but fantastic for a night

This hotel is ideally located for an overnight stop when travelling to the South of France, being about halfway there. We stopped here on the way down and on the way back a week later. I thought the hotel represents really good value for money and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is ample parking on site. We ate in the Hotel restaurant on both occasions and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the table service was prompt also, despite it being quite busy. One downside was the noise from other rooms, we could hear the TV in the adjacent room quite clearly and the guy took a phone call at about 2am, which woke us up.

Stayed here for a night stop on way back to uk from south. Arrived to find nice very clean rooms but went downhill from then on. We booked a table in the restaurant but whilst sat in the lounge/communal area it became quickly apparent that these areas were filthy, then was greeted by a dead bird on the floor! The floor was covered in dead flies and moths. As this room was just off the kitchen and restaurant we decided to eat out...shame as just spent the day in car with children. Lovely meal out at a courtapaille, 5 mins away. Decided to have a drink back at hotel before bed but were told they wouldn't serve us beer or wine as we didn't eat at the hotel, only soft drinks. Altho saw someone drinking a beer who wasn't sat eating dinner! They were quite offhand about it. Apparently their policy but having stayed at other campaniles on way to south and alps we've never come across this, I have to say we've always had very friendly staff. We will NOT be staying at this one ever again. We had reserved breakfast but needless to stay we didn't take them up on that either!

Rooms were clean but smelly of old bedsheets, was difficult to find the location and had to roam around in car 2-3 times before reaching the location. Dinner was considerably good but this is just an evening stay out hotel during your road trip kind of place so don't expect anything more.

We have stayed in many Campanile hotels over the years around France and this one was poor. The decor was outdated and tatty. There were only 2 pillows and no spares, the door to the bathroom wouldn't shut, the smell in the hotel was not very fresh, no hair dryer and generally not a 3 star. You would be better staying at a premier class instead.

We stayed over for one night , on way back to England from Spain , it was ok for one night I guess , but I agree with the other reviews it defiantly needs modernising and they need to pay attention to the cleaning more as I found peoples hair on the bed linen , in the bath and on the bathroom floor and there is dust all round the edges etc , doubt I would stay again.

Je sens triché par Campanile. AUCUNE attempte à me donner remboursement. Aucune raison pour menter à moi. I bought this room expecting wifi in the room as advertised and it was absolutely not available in any of the rooms so I was informed after I had booked, unpacked and tried to work. I am disabled and it was too late to move hotels by then. Disgusted and angry. I left in a lot of pain. I had to work at the desk in the restaurant instead of lying on the bed I paid for, with the wifi I was promised. The heating didnt work either and the sink was blocked - so unhygenic and chilly. I asked to move rooms and this was refused Very poor treatment. I desreve a full refund for that
