We only stayed two nights in this hotel. It is well appointed but our room was very small with a small balcony. Our room was on the first floor with no elevator in that area. We don't usually need elevator access, but with luggage and no assistance when we arrived it was a bit difficult. The hotel is remote and a car is essential, although the parking is over several different levels. There is a limited shuttle service to a "sister" hotel, The Sporting, on the beach and we took advantage of this with a prearranged pickup time. The restaurant is well positioned with wonderful views and helpful staff, The food was very good at breakfast and dinner. There is not much else in the area and so the hotel restaurant is about the only choice.Although very nice reception areas and a great pool, we would not return because of the remoteness.
This 4 Star luxe Hotel has all what you need for a tranquil vacation. The rooms are small but ours had a huge lawn in front of the private patio and the view was over the entire Cala di Volpe bay. The restaurant is elegant with an equaliy nice view, dinner was ok, not spectacular but also very reasonably priced, even the wine. Breakfast is in the same restaurant and you are helped by a very pleasant staff and two super friendly Maitre D's . The choice is limited but sufficent and the Espresso is excellent. The public areas, bar and pool are vast, Internet is fast and they accept dogs for a charge. We looked at other Hotels but Petra Bianca was definetely the perfect choice.
Stayed 3 nights on a group holiday due to last minute change of hotel accommodation. Impressive reception and public areas and lovely dining room looking out to the bay and impressive yachts in the distance. Large room and bathroom with nice patio all nicely presented. Buffet Breakfast in dining area with fantastic views, as no windows felt like dining outside. Although group dining, the meals and service were very good. Only criticism was that unless you have transport there is nowhere to walk to, although hotel does have courtesy bus to a local beach. Would recommend stay if travelling in the area
We stayed as part of a group and felt that the hotel staff were not familiar with dealing with larger parties. Having said that it was of a very high standard. Rooms were spotless, comfortable and cool, not sure about the hotel's policy of 'if you put any of your goods in the fridge they warn you they may take it out because of "contamination"' Food was good and there was a varied choice of somewhat expensive wines. We had a large patio with excellent views across the bays and hills. The pool and surrounds were of high standard also. The only downside was its location, you really need your own transport as it takes a good ten minute walk downhill the drive to the main road where there is virtually no bars or cafes, although the bay area itself was quite attractive.
It is hard to describe the feeling I had when I firs saw the hotel and our room. It has brought my whole Sardinia holiday to another level. The pool, the room, the food, the service: all amazing!!! It is like a SPA. You almost want to spend your holiday inside the hotel. We had the chance of booking a few days before the official opening of the season and we booked at a good price. The only disadvantage for this place is the fact that is a little far from everything, but they offer shuttle buses to and from the beach. But, if you rented a car, that is not an issue anymore. I recommend and for sure stay againg on my next trip to Sardinia.
We only stayed for two nights, and we deeply regret it. We should have booked more days/nights at Petra Bianca. Nice, calm, and warm atmosphere. We also had a small garden in front of our room, with a table and two seats. We had only breakfast from Petra Bianca and it was amazing. This hotel has a very nice pool, a little to deep for my tastes. They offer shuttle bus to the beach and back.
A great hotel near Porto Cervo with excellent rooms. The view from the dining/breakfast room is breathtaking. Very friendly service. The pool area is generous and the staff looks really after you. It is not cheap but very good value
Stayed for 1 week mid September. The only downside for us was that the hotel is some distance from any town, shops or beach. The website indicated that a shuttle bus to the beach was available, but this had already ceased when we arrived. So we hired a car for the rest of the week, which is really essential. We had booked a room with a seaview. The first room we were given was on the ground floor & the views of the sea were not at all good. We immediately asked for another room & we were informed by the very helpful receptionist that we could change rooms, but not until the next day. This we did & the room we were given had wonderful panoramic views. So...do not hesitate to say if you are unhappy with your room!. The staff were all very professional & helpful. The food in the evening was magnificent! Four courses every night with a menu that changed every day! Breakfast would best be described as adequate..it certainly didn't match the quality the evening meal.
Stayed in the Hotel Petra Bianca for 1 week at the beginning of September. Having booked a classic room, we were extremely happy to be upgraded to a superior room with balcony and sea view. The room was well equipped with good air con and everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean with maid service daily. All staff were welcoming and friendly, without exception. Although the location coule be termed as remote, if you don't have a car and want to avoid using taxis, it is no hardship to laze by the pool. We were half board; the food was lovely and the service exceptional. To sum up, this is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. If you want a relaxing holiday with glorious surroundings, this is the place for you.
The view of this hotel, was really beautiful. From the bar you could see the swimming pool and a view of the ocean. Restaurant staff was polite, not warm. I was disappointed with food we had at dinner and breakfast. There was no spa at the hotel, but one of the staff members made arrangements for a massage nearby. I considered quite expensive for the month of September and what it was offered.
