We rented an apartment with double bed in September 2017. Most uncomfortable bed we have evert slept in apartments. Actually double bed was made of sofa and separate metal spring bed putted together. On them were two separate matrasses. A a result both bed sides were with different heights and metal spring bed was sliding on tile floor making a free space between matrasses. Also there was no extra warm blanket. Very old furniture in apartment. Bathroom: bide not working as used to be, small shower with low water pressure, no soaps, no hairdryer, 1 roll of toilet paper for long stay. Kitchen: no, electric or metalic water boiling kettle (only metalic pots), no toaster, no wine opener, no normal knives. Kitchen and bathrooom had smell of mold. Could not get a wifi. Actually wifi is only near reception, but I even could not find it there. No AC in apartment. About a positive: Very beautiful hotel area. A lot of flowers and greenery. Free parking at territory. Nice restaurant with a great wiev. Nice terrace. Near there is a beach, but we advise to go to Marinella beach or Sabina beach - very beautiful and not far. For that beautiful place apartments should be a lot better. Of course, we rented simple apartment, but it seems that hosts saves money on everything. May be were not so lucky and got worst apartment.
The Baia de Bahas Apartment Resort is not as good as expected. The rooms are small, very bad lighting, old bathroom without bath, air condition only in the leaving room, kitchen small, no owen, no microowen, no coffee machine, and you have to pay a lot of money for gas, electricity and water. For one week they charge you 200 euros only for this. You discover this when you arrive. They also charge you 40 euros for the towels, obligatory and they do not change the towels in one full week, if you want to change you have to pay again. The location is not bad, but far away from many interesting places, it is not the ideal place to stay if you want to visit the north of the Island. There are many other places better located than this one.To finish if I am looking for a place to stay some days for sure this will not be the place chosen.
We (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed here for 5 nights. Fantastic view from the balcony. Bed in bedroom was ok... and that was just about what's on the positive side. Lots of ants in both kitchen and bathroom. Equipment which could be expected in a vacation kitchen was missing. Sofa bed was so noisy that it kept all four awake whenever somebody turned in it. Activities like jet ski, kayaking, surfing in the area (as shown in their homepage) was only to be found in the nearby town Marinella.(30 min walk... as we had no car) When we approached the staff at the reception we were always given the reply 'we fix ' .. but sadly they did not .. we had the perception that they thought 'well they'll leave in a few days...' And just a general observation as a tourist in Italy.. I find the poor level of English with people working within this industry below expectations- this resort included.
We were in this place this summer and we will not return here for sure. On internet they say that the studio is a room with a bed and a sofa, but in reality it is a room only with sofa. After a night on the sofa I needed a physioterapist... You can not get here without a car. If you want to call a taxi from the train station (2,5 km) they want 100eur for that. This is definitelly not what we have paid for.
We have been traveling the whole Sardinia but we never found a resort like Baia de Bahas!!! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about escursioni;the apartments are very clean and 1 minute walking from the beach! We have 2 kids and is perfect for family! For sure we will go back to Baia de Bahas! Thanks a lot Aurelia and Piero we miss you already!!! Giuseppe from Miami
We booked our trip through LoveHolidays.com. The village was beautiful, the beaches were gorgeous and the staff were very friendly. However, our apartment only had a sofa bed which was incredibly uncomfortable. What the most infuriating aspect of the trip was the fact that upon arrival we were expected to pay €145 for services which consisted of water, gas and electricity bills. This was after we had already paid for the room. Although the small print stated that we may have to pay services we did not expect it to be this much and, as a result, we were forced to withdraw more money out. We thought we had booked a good deal but the extent of these unexpected charges made for a very expensive shock and took a sizeable chunk out of our budget within hours of arrival. This price included a cost for cleaning services in the apartment as well as linen and towel changes that we never actually benefitted from as they were weekly and somehow did not coincide with the 7 day duration of our stay. The photos were also misleading because our apartment didn't look anything like the photos on the website, most of which are of the yacht club down the road and not of the apartment village itself. The village was very pretty but it was in the middle of nowhere with a 25 minute walk to the nearest train station of which there were only 4 trains running into Olbia daily. Apart from the yacht club and beaches there was very little to do. If you book we would advise renting a car as we were incredibly restricted. Overall, we felt that with the misinformation and unpleasant costly surprises, the holiday was not worth the price we paid for it.
The place is nicely located. Small beach is close by. It is easy by car to drive along the coast to explore Sardinia's beauty. The accommodation is reasonable, though the equipment is a bit dated. The residence has a small supermarket. Supermarket of bigger size and with higher availability are few km away (this is a common issue in any residence in Sardinia) All in all, it was a good vacation, The only disturbance was the unfriendly manager, I believe Mrs Laura. She welcomed us quite badly and was repeatedly unfriendly and rude to us on few small requests. I also did not appreciate the way she was threatening her stuff, especially when confrontation was generally unnecessary and placed in front of customers. I feel for the employees who have the misadventure to work for her.
Golfo di Marineleda is a great location of small holiday "villages", Baia de Bahas being one of them. No huge beaches, no huge hotels. A small sandy beach in 5 minutes walk, shallow warm water ideal for kids. Half an hour from the airport at Olbia. The location seems to be used mainly by Italians, who travel by car. Difficult for those who do not speak Italian. Only one restaurant at the place (a bit on the expensive side), on the other hand there is a small shop with all the vegetable, pasta, cheese, meat... We were there for the second time after three years and enjoyed it again - the small bay, no crowds and generally relaxing environment being one of the main reasons.
We made our reservation 3 weeks before arrival to be with our friends whom had already rented an apartment in Baia de Bahas. We were told that sea view apartments were nog longer available, but this was of less importance to us. Upon arrival we discovered that the apartment did not only lack sea view, but the terrace was only equipped for 2 people and full of bird droppings. When we complained about having to pay the same price as our friends for a 4-persons apartment without sea view, the only answer they could give was 'it's our policy, all apartments for 4 people have the same price. We had to ask 3 times to clean the terrace, which we incidentally hardly used, because it could not accommodate 4 people and a nesting place for pigeons. Their was no wireless network in the apartment and it only worked occasionally in the restaurant area. No help was given to be able to access otherwise. There is no microwave, oven or BBQ which makes it difficult to cook a decent meal. A safe in the room, which is a must, especially in 'exclusive resorts' was not provided. The apartment was quite basically furnished and clean. The pool was quite nice and well maintained. Conclusion: this resort is a far cry from being 'Exclusive'. The price, service and basic accommodation does certainly not comply with the required standard. I would certainly NOT recommend this resort.
This review relates to Baia de Bahas Exclusive Pro: Set in beautifully tended gardens. The Reception staff (Silvana and another lady) were always friendly, helpful and smiling.) Great location for access to the Costa Smerelda, many beaches and Olbia. Short walk to a pleasant beach. Very spacious apartment. We were upgraded to a 2-bedroom which was a pleasant surprise. Our Apartment had a huge, furnished balcony with a sea view (Number GSA 8). There is no Wi-Fi in apartments (public areas only) but luckily we were able to get it in one bedroom (above reception.) The beds were wonderfully comfortable with cool cotton sheets. We were there for a fortnight and a linen change was provided after the first week. Con: The on-site restaurant was very expensive. No kettle or microwave in apartment was a minor irritation.
