I stayed here for a week all inclusive with my friend and her two children (8 & 4). We arrived early in the morning and had the transfer from the airport. We were dropped off about 500 metres from where the hotel was and our bags dumped - we didnt have a clue where we were going but managed to figure it out between all the families there. We checked in fine but were given no information on food times etc. so we headed on up to our room. We had booked a family room - this was one double bed and two singles pushed together which although there was enough room to sleep, i would not have called it a family room! As we had arrived it was about 11am so we went down to see if there was any way we could get something from a snack bar or something before we went to explore. The snack bar was open but the food was cold. Choices of cold pizza, chicken nuggets or stale, cold chips... Not impressed. Anyway, we went off exploring the local area and found Fennels beach which was lovely, however, you must take shoes to walk on the beach with as it is shingles and VERY hot (to be expected in 31 degrees). We had a walk along and then headed back up to the hotel for a lazy afternoon (40 hours awake will do that to you). The pool area was busy and there didnt seem to be enough sun beds for everyone, however, we did find two. Pool was lovely and clean and there was a small, shallow pool for younger kids that was good. There was a lifeguard who was very alert on what was going on and seemed friendly enough. There is also another indoor pool, which apparently has a removable cover. It was like a sauna in there so it could have done with being removed, however, it was covered all week. There was a very small outside 'park' area which had a slide and an even smaller indoor soft play area for kids up to 10 years old. This was not monitored and we found a lot of teenagers going in there and messing around intimidating the smaller children. There was little/no entertainment in the day for the kids - i found this very unusual as every other all inclusive i have ever been too had great entertainment. Kids club seemed closed all the time also. The food - well this was shocking. Cold, tasteless and DO NOT eat the chicken as not once in the whole week was it cooked properly! The hotel staff didn't speak much English so was hard to communicate at all. There was little variety everyday and with no Ala carte restaurants, it was a long week. The cleaners were lovely and very good! They kept the whole place looking spotless all week. You cannot get any bottles water before 10am so if you are going out for the day, get it the night before and hope the air con keeps it cold. Didn't try the spa but it looked nice. The water park that comes with the hotel (10 mins free bus ride) is great! Lots to do but it is in the side of a mountain so if you have trouble walking, i would not recommend it. We went twice in the week we were there and the kids really enjoyed it. The food is reasonable and much better than the hotel. All in all, i wouldn't go back to this hotel, especially not with kids.
I read some reviews before we want and was a bit nervous BUT once we got to the hotel it was fantastic the staff was wonderful.Food was brilliant wide variety of meat and fish. Also the Staff in the dinning room was happy and made us all feeling welcome. Rooms clean and cleaned every day.
This hotel was fantastic the breakfast was ace the pool cold but ok steam room etc was brill bar staff polite helpful and a laugh would defo go back wouldn't ho in high season like summer holidays as I can imagine it would be packed
Fabulous hotel with great facilities, very clean and the room was a good size. There was a good, large variety of food for everyone. Would definitely recommend to someone else to stay there! Reception staff tended to be quite rude but apart from that can't fault it. 5 minute walk away from a beautiful beach perfect for relaxing on and it is huge so even when busy there was loads of room. The spa was also a lovely bonus to have. Pool was a good size and always someone cleaning litter which was good! If you are planning on visiting the Costa Brava I'd definitely say to go here.
Nice breakfast. Old bed, noisy rooms, shower in bath. No service guide in room. Unhelpful staff and rude at times. Pool is good. Close to beach, food and beer. Lots of families with noisy children and pushy foreigners.
We stayed here for a week. The hotel is ideal for a budget family holiday,so don't expect top notch fittings, having said that the hotel is well maintained and spotlessly clean.wr had a wonderful holiday and the kids thoroughly e joyed the pool and kids evening entertainment. The food was very pleasant, they had plenty to offer for breakfast a d dinner.we would recommend this hotel.
We booked the Oasis park hotel through a last minute deal on the first choice website. Got a free child place for my 5 year old and my nearly 2 year old was free anyway, so only cost us £1200 with extra leg room on the flight, for a junior suite, all inclusive for four of us, bargain. We arrived here at 12noon and had to wait 2 1/2 hours for our room to be ready one thing that was strange is the front desk take your passports off you at check in and return them 24hrs later. A little unnerving for me to trust them with my passport but I obliged. They also take off you the confirmation of your booking. On my paperwork this had the splash park confirmation on, which I didn't realise until the next day. Our rep hand wrote us a ticket for the park so no worries there. After we waited we went to our room and what a sorry looking room it was. Small, Faded pink throws on the bed. Bathroom was small and very tired. The balcony wasn't big enough to swing a cat. My husband had done a some research before we came and he said this is not a junior suite. So I went down to reception as spoke to the front desk team and they sorted it out straight away. Frustrating, as the room may of been ready on time if they had got it right in the first place. The room was large interconnecting with the master bedroom and a hot tub bath on the balcony, no expense spared here the bathroom large with multi jets that hit you from every angle. A kitchen with fridge and kettle, microwave etc. Its a shame you can't pay extra to have the fridge filled as an upgrade. The housekeeping standards are brilliant and the cleaners always polite. All inclusive drinks are good the house beer is estrella. Just be careful as the strength is 5.8%. The food in the restaurant is very repetative and seams to cater for the Spanish rather than English but there are a lot of Spanish visitors at this hotel. Breakfast - no proper bacon which is a shame and the sausages are hotdogs sausages. We missed breakfast a few times as it finishes at 10am! The snack bar is open throughout the day starting at 10am-1pm then 4pm -7pm lunch is 1pm till 3pm so there are times when no food is served 3pm till 4pm. We went on the tui pirate tour as it was sold to us by our rep as if the kids we taken away to play games and the adults can kick back but the tui reps on board didn't really take charge of the kids they just gave them a map to draw and painted their face. It was quite expensive at 46€ per adult and around 24€ per child. For a family of four quite an expensive day but nice to get away from the hotel, it was all inclusive and lunch was provided but again the food wasn't great. A burger with no bun, 1 sausage and cold rice and pasta. If you take a left and left again out of the hotel and walk down that road you will pass a shop called the holiday shop. They have English newspapers and have the best exchange rate for changing money euros. Keep walking on that road and you will come to fenals beach. The sand isn't sand it's shells and hurts your feet, so be careful with the kids. Splash world was great fun and we went again and again. Great that it was included in our package as it would of cost 115€ per adult. There is a free bus that takes you to the park, the bus stop is just across the road from the hotel and is clearly labelled. You can catch it from the bus stop or from Lorette bus station in yhe centre if you fancy a walk first. If you do go to the water park it's worth getting a pair of water shoes for the kids as my little one cut his feet walking around as it has very steep hills and not really pram friendly. Over all not bad holiday for what we paid and a great room made up for the not so great food. The shops and buzz the city has is great and we would defiantly return on that basis. But you must must book a junior suite or you will be disapointed.
So this hotel is a little basic but for a cheap week in the sun it's perfect! The food here is excellent, a massive selection to cater for everyone. If you can't find something you like to eat you're just incredibly fussy! The staff are polite, great with kids too and welcoming. The room we have is quite small but very clean and the bathroom is nice. Generally the hotel has been maintained but it is a little dated. There is a big outdoor pool with a toddler section. Also a heated indoor pool which is perfect if the weather is bit overcast. A small play area outside and also a small soft play area inside. There is plenty to keep our you g toddler amused. The beach is 10 minutes walking distance and away, with little shops as you go down. Beach itself is sandy but gritty, clean and vast so it's no cramped with tourists. With this hotel we have unlimited access to the waterpark, yet to visit the park itself (going tomorrow!) the hotel give you a picnic to take with you which I think is great if you are paying for all inclusive! You can also request a picnic for the beach if you fancy a day there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with kids. We will definitely be coming here again next year.
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The location is just a short walk from the town and beach which is very quaint. The hotel staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The food was buffet style and plentiful and the show cooking had something different every evening. The rooms were clean and adequate, although the beds are very hard. Overall we had an enjoyable stay in a very friendly, clean hotel and would definitely return.
Stayed here for three nights on a coach holiday, staff were very friendly, the hotel was spotless, and the food was really good and well presented. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre where there is ample to see.
