this is a nice hotel and i enjoyed my stay here nice rooms pool area and indoor spar are very good worth the extra money to stay here. the only meal i had was breakfast reasturant was clean with plenty off staff
I know some people have said don’t go here on these reviews but please take this seriously otherwise you may regret it. I have never left a bad review of a hotel but I feel I need to let people know what kind of establishment this is at Oasis park resort & Spa in Lloret De Mar. I arrived 14th October 2017 with my mother and Step-father for a 7 night stay. As we were going to be arriving late evening and would miss our evening meal my mother had contacted the hotel by email & asked about a cold meal being saved which they confirmed they would. Checking in to the hotel was straight forward. I had a room to myself and my parents had a separate room we asked for rooms close together which we were given. The man in reception did not have any idea about the meal that was supposed to be saved for us. As the safes to rent were quite expensive i put my passport & documents in my mother’s safe which she had rented. The following afternoon, the three of us nipped to a snack bar across the road from the hotel for a drink and snack. We then returned back to the hotel about 40 minutes later. On returning to my room I needed to take my medication. I had left some medication in a pocket of a jacket hung up in the wardrobe and the rest was in a make up bag in my suitcase. I quickly realised that some medication had been stolen from my pockets! I obviously checked everywhere but I knew I had definitely left them there. There was a total of 16 tablets stolen. These were strong prescription medication which can be dangerous in the wrong hands. The only people who had been in my room whilst we were out for 40 minutes were the maids. I was absolutely shocked that they had gone in my wardrobe and gone through my pockets! I telephoned my mother’s room as I was shocked and upset as this was important prescription medicine from my doctor. My mother then checked her medicine bag, she has heart medication in there along with other prescription medicines. She realised some of her medication had also been stolen from her medicine bag. We both went to the reception desk and asked to speak to the manager. We were greeted by an ‘angry ‘ looking man. We explained to him what had happened but he did not seem one bit interested in what we had to say. He went on his radio & 2 housekeeping ladies came to speak to him ( I presume they were the housekeeping managers). The hotel has a lot if cctv cameras, so I suggested that he looked at them but he refused. I explained that I wanted the police contacting so they could come and look at the cctv cameras and investigate. He refused to ring the police and told me to ring them myself. I used the public phone and explained to the police what had happened, after a long conversation with them they assured me that a they would come to the hotel. Whilst we were at reception, a maid had been sent to my room without my permission and then also walked straight into my mother’s room and was shocked to see my step-father sat there. We asked the manager why she did this? He said ‘because I told them to!’ I don’t know why they did this they have no right to just walk into peoples room unless they are servicing the room and even then they should knock first. We found this downright rude and not respectful & have no idea why they did this. I was offered a safe free of charge to put my medication in but this was the only thing the manager did. We had no apology & he did not have any interest in his guests. He just wanted to fob us off. I then got a call back from the police saying we would have to go to the police station to report this, we did not see the point of this as the police should have came to the hotel to look at the cctv. We were that fed up and stressed out we didn’t want to then spend the rest of the day at a police station as they also didn’t seem that bothered. I asked the manager his name but he refused to give it to us. So the following day I asked a member of staff behind the reception desk for his name and was told it was ‘Ben Khalid’ This ruined the holiday for us and made me and my mother poorly without the medication we needed and we had no trust in leaving anything in our rooms. I find this absolutely shocking that not only do the staff think it is okay to steal from holiday makers, the MANAGER thinks it is okay to treat holiday makers like rubbish by not even offering an apology. With such a big hotel group I really would expect to be treated with a bit more respect. Another thing is that the cleaners use dirty mops to ‘clean’ the floors in the rooms so do not go barefoot. Also don’t expect 4 star food, most of it was salads, lukewarm chips and basic mains such as burgers. All this information has been emailed to the hotel and I have given all this information to the large global company I work for (in excess of 20,000 people) to make my colleagues aware not to book this place. I think the hotel should vet their staff more thoroughly before employing them to be trusted with holidaymakers belongings. Also, the manager of the hotel really does need some customer service training.
great location in Fanals beach Hotel was really good. We arrived early hours and found out that we had not been allocated a disabled friendly room but they managed to change that the next morning. The downturn was having to walk from the main road to the hotel where the shuttle service dropped us off from Barcelona airport. Would definitely book door to door next time . Hotel and spa really good we could not get an appointment in the spa when we were there but they managewd to fit us in for spa treatments in the hotel next door which is par5t of the same group. We only stayed be4d and breakfast and breakfast was really good for a spanish hotel. Would definitely go again
Both myself and my teenage daughter had a nice holiday but my disabled sister found the holiday a bit too challenging. The bus transfer dropped us off about a five minute walk to the hotel and my sister found this too much on top of travelling from the airport. She hired a scooter for the rest of the holiday but the walk to and from the transfer is not suitable for disabled people and you do have to walk to the main road for the transfer to and from the airport. The hotel is advertised is being suitable for disabled people but it is not really suitable for disabled people as there are only three disabled rooms and my sister become stuck in the lift in her scooter as the scooter was too large for the lift to the pool. If you are disabled an electric wheelchair would be better than a scooter for this hotel. You can however access all areas in a wheelchair and scooter from floor 1 and using the main lifts. I really liked Fenalls Beach as a holiday destination. The hotel was clean and the room was clean. I would say the room and breakfast were 3* star quality. I think it only has a 4* as it has a spa. The breakfast was the usual Spanish breakfast but there was a good choice of eggs Spanish bacon Spanish sausages Spanish doughnuts etc each morning. There was also a self service bread and toast area and cereals fruit salad yoghurt and cold meat and cheese platters. The juice was sugary machine juice and the coffee was machine coffee, which is not as nice as fresh coffee or fresh juice. The dining room was manic for breakfast and I would recommend going to eat as soon as it opens to avoid crazy crowds and noise. There was some entertainment on most evenings either bingo or a singer but there was not enough seats usually for the amount of people staying in the hotel so we only stayed a short while. The beds and pillows were ok and we slept relatively well but it would have been nice to have a double bed and a single bed rather than two single beds. At the time of our stay English were in the minority. My teenage daughter found this hard as she did not make any friends during our stay due to the language barrier. I loved it as I got to spend quality time with her !There were a mix of Russians, Latvians, French and Spanish. I spoke a little French and Spanish but they were not very friendly back to us. I got the feeling the English are not very well liked at the moment! The spa was ok and had a steam room and shower area and Jacuzzi and three heated chill out beds but the steam room could have done with a clean underneath the seating areas. We usually went at 4ish each day and it was quite busy at this time but apparently it was very quiet first thing on a morning. The indoor pool was heated and was clean. We used this a few times and enjoyed it. The hotel drink prices were higher than surrounding bars but there are plenty of bars and restaurants within five minutes walk of the hotel. We ate out each evening so cannot comment on the evening meals in the hotel. The beach is lovely and as the sand is small pebbles it does not stick to you. We swam in the sea and sunbathed in a little cove and loved it. We found a lovely cove and beach bar to the right hand side of Fenals Beach and we loved this spot. The beach bar was expensive ie 10 euros for a cocktail, but they were lovely and I would rather have one nice drink than five rubbish drinks. If I was to stay in this area again I would stay in the sister hotel to this one, which is next door. It had a better layout and the spa and indoor pool were together and the spa was larger, which makes more sense. For the price we paid I had a great holiday and as long as you expect a 3* hotel with not many English you will have a great time.
We visited here in October 2017 for a few days break. We checked in early hours of the morning. Check in was quick and easy. If you come on the airport transfer bus don't worry you can see the hotel from the bus stop and it is just around the corner. The room was comfortable and bright with a shower over the bath and a balcony overlooking a neighbouring hotel's pool. We missed breakfast due to our late arrival but there are several small coffee shops serving pastries and good coffee at the end of the street. Alternatively the bars opposite the main entrance appeared to offer a cooked breakfast option. During our stay the weather was pleasant and warm. Between 10:45 and 4:15 it was sunny and great for relaxing by the pool. There's a small gym, a nice steam room, a jacuzzi and a great shower corridor in the small spa. My son used this most days. He thought some of the gym equipment was old and a bit shaky and at least one piece of equipment was broken but he continued to use the gym. The main outdoor pool ranged from about 4ft at the shallow end to 9ft at the deep end and as you'd expect didn't get very warm as a result! It was nice and clean and very refreshing . The lifeguard administered plasters and took a strict approach to inflatables in the pool. Perhaps too strict as the pool was quiet and the children trying to use them would've had a lot of fun. There's a children's pool (and a children's play area and club) and a smaller covered lagoon style pool. We didn't use that but it's be fine for a dip in colder weather. Hotel reception were really helpful when we had an issue with our key. The dining room is busy but tables are cleared quickly and reset with table cloths, wine glasses etc. Staff bring drinks to your table and you just pay the receipt as you leave the dining room. This works well. The choice of food was excellent. Great salads to start, choice of soup, pate and also hot starters. The chef had an area cooking hot food continuously. There was a good range of seafood including razor clams which I'd not tried before and it was good to have them freshly cooked. There was also meat, fish and pasta options every night. Pizza too one night. A separate table provided a range of breads, a good selection of desserts (mousses, cakes, and small tubs of ice-cream) and plenty of fresh melon. Breakfast too offered a good selection of breads, cereals, yogurt, fruit, ham, cheese and hot options. With breakfast there was the usual range of juice from a machine plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate. And there wasn't large queues to use the toaster! The hotel had live music on most nights and there seemed to be an earlier children's disco. They also screened football which my son appreciated though the TV in the room provided English radio style commentary of the football this was with a fixed picture on screen. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach which has a few cafes, pedallos, and sun beds to hire, toilet and ice cream seller, bar etc. Very nice. You can also walk in both directions to neighbouring beaches though the coastal walk to the main resort of Lloret involves a lot of steps. It's better to head along the main road from the hotel with lloret a pleasant 10 minute walk down a gentle slope. The hotel is outside the main resort and as a result is better suited to families and couples. There was a good mix of Spanish, French and British whilst we were there. There's plenty of shops in Lloret and some interesting buildings and sites well worth a wander. From this hotel it's also pretty straightforward to get the bus and train into Barcelona. The stop is opposite the one you get off at when you arrive from the airport. Though combined bus train tickets are advertised at the stop the bus driver wouldn't sell us one maybe as he was in a hurry to make the connection. We missed it by 2 minutes but the next train was only half an hour. There's a lot of stops to Barcelona but the journey is v pleasant along the coast and you arrive in the centre right at the Ramblas. I'd definitely recommend Barcelona. Lots to see and do. Food is very reasonable too. If you'd prefer to go on an organised trip there are good value options available from the small independent tour agent round the corner from the hotel. This is a couple of doors down from the supermarket (spar I think). They offer discounts for children and also do boat tours to neighbouring bays and beaches. No tours to Barcelona at the weekend so plan ahead. I'd recommend this hotel for a relaxing break. It'd also suit single people as it felt very safe and staff were friendly and helpful. Finally safe deposit boxes in the room are hired for a v reasonable cost at reception.
