This hotel is a very nice expirence. It is a 3 star hotel, but the food, service, room, everything is perfect. Hotel is near beach, but in a quiet part of Ljoret. Hotel has a pool, nice bar with good sangria. Hotel is not expensive for its value, Ljoret is near Barcelona. You can enjoy on summer, because there is very nice ang long beach. If you want to see Barcelona during year, Ljoret is pretty nice base.
shocking place the rooms are tiny including the bath which is fit for a torso. the food is rank the staff are miserable apart from a cleaner she smiled i wouldnt mind if i paid peanuts but we never. book some where else.
The hotel was in need of some modernisation, but you get what you pay for. The food wasn't Michelin star, but once again, the all inclusive was worth every penny. Not for the old as its a prime location for all the clubs, and it was perfect for what I went for. Made loads of friends and had the time of my life, especially if you go on the rooftop and stare at the stars. Lloret De Mar is beautiful and I do not have a bad thing to say about my trip. If your lucky enough to stay in room 516, look out for my invisible artwork on the marble tiles..
After reading a lot of reviews on here I was a little bit apprehensive about staying at this hotel, I was actually surprised as to the quality. Yes there may not be air conditioning in the rooms, and it may be noisy outside, but if you buy some earplugs and don't use the covers provided you can have an average nights sleep. The pool is great as not many people ever use it (even though there is a maximum of 35 people allowed in at a time). Staff seemed friendly enough to us, especially Anna who worked behind the bar for a lot of our time here. (If you're reading this Anna, you might remember me from asking for the cards but giving a money gesture, thanks for being friendly and providing good service). All in all it is a good hotel, not far from the beach and local restaurants if not booked all inclusive. I would go back there.
This hotel is only good if you are 18-25 and want no sleep. It looks like a prison block, there is no air conditioning in the rooms, so if you want air you leave the doors open and get eaten alive by critters, and the noise is even more deafening. Or you close your door and just cook. There is one plug socket that is based in the bathroom so you cant even go buy a fan as there is no where to plug it in. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. This is what gave the hotel a 1. The cleaners were also the only staff that acknowledged you, all others were rude and tried to ignore you. Food was basic, you could always find something to fill you, but it was always cold. If you have young children do not go here it is not catered for them in anyway. The young people that use this hotel have no regard for anyone else, children are just an inconvenience to them if they are in their way they will just knock them over.
The night receptionist and I were unable to communicate, although he was adamant he was keeping my paperwork! He never gave us a card for the room or let us know any information - he didn't even try. The guards were rude to my partner, telling him he had to wear a t-shirt at all times (although there were many woman wearing only bikinis in the same areas that seemed acceptable). The cleaners were polite and friendly. The room needed a good clean and a ceiling fan but otherwise were fine.
MUST READ- Well where do I start, this is the worst place I have ever been, I have wrote many reviews nothing to be as poor as this, Firstly when u arrive we all know when you book you have to pay tax on your room which was 6euros, that's fine. Then you have to give a deposit of well for us 40 euros but this seems to change on depending on the person, but it isn't explained what it is for, granted you get it back. Some people we know paid 32 others up to 55. we stood at reception serval times and no one acknowledges you, no help to your room just thanks for your money your key and off you go, no one explained to us times for dinner what we get in our all inclusive how it works here nothing. If you are a family, or a couple it is like a 18-25 crap hotel/youth hostel Room- no air-con not even a air con unit to pay for to have in your room there is none, each room has a hatch in the bathroom to which u can see through into others rooms, only one plug socket in the bathroom. Best part of the room the cleaners did a great job and clean towels everyday Food - is not the greatest we are not fussy eaters and didn't eat there at every meal but we found something for us at each one but was never hot when it was meant to be hot but very good at replenishing, if you want pop as (all inclusive ) u need to find someone to turn it on for you as not everyone is allowed it. Drinks- for all inclusive drinks not a bad selection at all can't complain but they could change there cups that they use for all inclusive due to people chewing them and leaving rough edges and well minging germs let's be honest. Plastic by the pool fine, but surely glass in the bar/seating area. Pool- well actually the pool was ok if u got chance to get in it, there were 18-25 everywhere when in the pool fighting throwing each other screaming all day constant if u were sun bathing u were constantly hit with balls they were trying to hit each other with. Or as the jump in getting a wave of water to drench you, in relaxing no consideration for other people using the hotel at all, at one point I was reading my book and I got square smacked on the Side of my head with a ball and left me ear ringing for hours. SECURITY- well there is 4 guards at night and one through out the day, four you say, YES is that for your protection so riff raff don't come in you wonder, no, no they were there to over see the occupants of the hotel as police were called serval times a fire alarm even went off and a fire in one block they were there to try and keep the noise down there was so much trouble and chaos there it was unbelievable. When it came to us going home our taxi was ordered for 7 ( which the receptionist said he wouldn't call for us as it was a private taxi, we asked why that was an issue he could not explain) then when we got up and waiting at reception at 630 we had to hand in a crap piece of paper for this deposit to which there was no reception staff just Sercurity who had no idea what it was and they were talking about in Spanish and they were saying well what is it for ( we were like we didn't get told we were told to hand to you to get our money back) after a ten min dispute etc we got it but they had no idea about it or what it was for NIGHTS- Were the worst ever no air-con so you think open the window but then the noise just from the hotel not the town or street the hotel was unbearable, 18-25 running round as they come back from nights clubs pub crawls banging arguing knocking on doors continuously I mean it went on all night there was maybe a two hour piece gap between 00-0200 we got up 6 times to tell different people to stop banging eventually Sercurity let them in there rooms because there mate had passed out drunk, girls screaming, stomping on stairs as they go up and down, doors slamming as they all go to each other's room on there way out and on there way in, some families Eg. 3 got up and screaming at the top of the voices to shut up they had woken there kids every night this happened and on the quietest night the fire alarm went off, no Sercurity no hotel staff got up came to us we got up and ran to reception to stand aimlessly as we try to understand where to go what to do, only one other family had come down no one else moved and we got told it's ok to go back to bed to find out later that day there had actually been a fire, there is only one lift in one side of the building which is ok if u are in that side lol. Cleaners- Were amazing only thing that was rooms were cleaned shared toilets near reception very clean. Lloret de mar is a nice town and beach is beautiful and only 5 min walk from this hotel but do not stay here we had people crying about the hotel on many occasions and if we were staying for two weeks we would of gone to another. If you want clubbing and nights out, pLace to go If u want quality peaceful family time with kids, NOT the place they get trampled on and everything gets over taken by the 18-25 no rest bite from the noise what so ever If you want a romantic get away for two there are no quiet time peaceful conversations intermit times, no rest bite from the noise what so ever Lastly I would like to say DO NOT GO HERE go to llorett de mar but not this hotel you might have read this going typical old complainer nope I'm 26 young and love my annual holiday to recharge I've come home more exhausted than what I left I slept nearly 24 hours when I got home ( now maybe you are thinking I'm fat) nope I'm a athletic who was looking forward to a recover break
This is going to be a 2-part review. The first section of my review will be my honest thoughts about this "hotel" and why you should avoid it all costs. The second section will focus on you poor unfortunate souls who have already booked and cannot cancel, I will write you a survival guide. SECTION 1: So... do not stay here. Avoid this hotel like you'd avoid prison, illness or PPI cold calls. It is not a hotel by any means, it's a hostel for groups of young germans and the like to run around destroying everything and making as much noise as possible. The rooms are ridiculous. The toilet was placed at a lovely angle as the bathroom was so small. Our bathroom had an interconnecting window to the next room above our bath, yes... a connecting window... above a bath. The baths themselves are intended for dwarves, not regular size humans. There's one power socket in the entire room which hangs above the sink, dangerous no? Pokey horrible camping beds with stained bedding. And of course, no air-con. The staff are unfriendly, rude and confrontational. You must carry a small slip of paper with you at all times or you will be told you aren't staying there by a lovely bulldog of a security man. The breakfast is rather disgusting, avoid at all costs (probably 7 euros for something decent round the corner). If you see this hotel as a cheap place to "lay your head" on a relaxing holiday, it isn't that. You'll get next to no sleep in the summer time as you'll be kept awake until at least 7am by the noise and heat, spend the extra for air-con and a better location. The only members of staff I have any sort of compliments for are the cleaners, who were pleasant and seemed to be incredibly overworked (one of them had broken down in tears in our corridor after being shouted at). But my biggest gripe with the Don Juan is that the main photo used for this "hotel" supplied by the management on this very TripAdvisor page is NOT THE HOTEL YOU'RE STAYING AT. It is in fact the Don Juan Gran, the equally awful but possibly slightly better looking cousin of this hellhole. SECTION 2: Bring a long plug extension. There's only one socket in the entire room and it's located above the sink in the bathroom. Bring an extension that's a few metres long so you can actually have power in your room. Spend as little time at this hotel as you possibly can, I'm afraid if you're all inclusive you've either wasted some money or you're doomed to have an awful holiday. There are some reasonable restaurants and beaches etc in Lloret and you'd be wise to leave the Don Juan in search of them. Also the pool is terrible and gets no sun so there's that as well. Avoid every member of staff for absolutely everything. Do not speak to them. Do not ask them questions. They're all incredibly terrible at their jobs and will only serve to annoy you with their blisteringly crap customer service skills. Bring earplugs. If you're staying here during the summer or any possible school holiday the noise will be unbearable until around 7am. Earplugs will help to slightly mitigate this. Be prepared for hot sweaty nights, the lack of air-con makes this a rough sleep so cold bottles of water under your pillow etc may help somewhat but it's still going to be uncomfortable in the summer. Be aware of the rules and don't give the security guards any reason to be worse at their jobs than they already are. Do not hang anything off your balcony, no towels, no clothing, nothing. It's a 700 euro fine supposedly. If your room has a small chest of drawers, take it out on to the balcony and use it as a little table, the only bearable part of being at the hotel was having a cold drink sat on the balcony. Get a safe. Print your booking confirmation yourself before you get there otherwise you'll be made to forward the email on to the hotel and the nice young chap on reception will take ~30 minutes to print it while chatting to his mate. And finally, if there's anything you can do to change hotels, do it. The Don Juan Center is without a doubt the worst hotel you might ever stay it, in the words of D:Ream; things can only get better. I hope you enjoy your holiday and survive the horrors of the Don Juan Center.
Staff is rude and unpleasant. Guards cover all area around and you aren't allowed to bring your own alkohol to your room (even if you are adult you might be forced to show your bag either you won't go inside) food isn't good too.
i have been three times there ; very good for family vacations, retired persons and high school students' excursions, nice and tasty food, hospitable service, safe and secure for children, in the very center leading to nice small shops, not far away from the beach, with nice music in the evening, both for listening and dancing.
