I stayed in this hotel last July 2016 for 7 Nights Half Board & I have to say it's the worst hotel I have EVER been to. The food was absolutely terrible, hardly any choice & what was offered was not appetising at all, the swimming pool was small & salty, & where in most hotels I have stayed in you would go to reserve your sun loungers before you go in for breakfast oh no not here as as soon as you put your towels down when you come out from breakfast they were gone! Chucked off by the reception staff!!! Well I have never experienced anything like it, we didn't even end up going in for breakfast in the end as one of us always had to sit & guard our towels on the loungers so we could never all eat breakfast together. Hardly any entertainment actually maybe the odd local singer but that was not even in the hotel it was in the bar just outside the hotel entrance. Surrounding area wasn't that bad quite a few shops, & a good couple of Funfairs for the kids which were great however It was an awful hotel & although I may return to Santa Sunsanna I would NEVER return to this hotel.
Excellent value for money. Pristine and clean. Beds have super comfy mattresses. Spacious rooms. Came with a large mixed group of families - people of all ages. All really complimentary about hotel facilities. Good clean pool. 5 mins walk from the beach. Helpful staff. All inclusive option - had good range of food. Would recommend and stay again
Balcony with 2 chairs & table, I stayed in room 550 which had sun late afternoon. Plenty wardrobe space & shelves, little table with stool. Hangers included. Tv was free but only 1 English Channel which was bbc news, Remote was in the room, on table. Safe cost me 4 euro per day & 10 deposit, 20 euro for a week. Air con in room & phone. I paid for a single premium room & there was a double bed & single bed. 24hr reception & upon my arrival I was asked to pay 2.50 euros which I believe is the tourist tax. Hairdryer & toiletries in the bathroom if required. Hot power shower & nice towels changed daily. Room cleaned daily. Keycard for doors which can be left at reception. Half board was good, enough choice at both sittings but don't expect English food you are in Spain, live a little. Free drinks on the morning ( juice & hot drinks) but you pay for drinks on the evening. Staff were nice except for a few who did not appear to understand English. Pool area is okay, sun beds not very comfortable look like in process of changing. Small area considering the size of the hotel & as you know I like my sunbathing which was okay at this time of year to be able to move my sun bed around but peak season I would think it is bedlam & not very relaxing due to noise. I spent most my time at the beach which is very grainy sand to walk on but lovely & long so you will find a spot even in peak season, nice breeze. I was paying 6 euro for a sun bed which was comfy, extra for a brolly. Sands beach bar was nearby for the toilets & music, free. There is entertainment on at the hotel but there were live bands on at hotels nearby which was better. Hotel is in a good position, shops, restaurants, beach, bus stops & train stations all nearby. You can walk to other resorts nearby which is lovely. Trips & bike hire can be sorted at the reception if needed. The only gripe I had was when I was leaving, I had to be out of the room by 11am which is standard however I did not get picked up till 3.30pm, I asked at the reception about luggage room & shower facilities. I put my case in a luggage room which was secure however when I went to use the shower & changing facilities in the spa which I was told I could use the day before it was locked, I spoke to the same lady I had the previous day about a key & she did not have one & the spa is closed between 1 & 3pm anyway. I was not very happy with this but I did not feel I got a good apology for the misunderstanding. For the room, food & service I did get overall it was a good price to pay.
Went here as a young teenager 25 years ago. at that point i could think of nothing better than 50 foreign schoolboys. room was tiny a struggle to get to the other side of the room the actual bed was comfortable though. room was on the quiet side of hotel so no noise from the disco. food generally good although bizarre options at breakfast fish fingers !!!!! You cant bring drinksfrom hotel bar to restaurant which is a pain as options are limited. nice public areas.
Just back from another week in Santa Susanna, stayed at the Riviera Hotel which is absolutely central for all things in Santa Susanna and Malgrat de Mar. Hotel was nice and comfortable, the food was good and the hotel was spotless, it fully deserves it's star rating. The staff were all so helpful and always had a smile on their faces. More than enough for us to do in the two resorts ( we were not looking for too much activity), we were a group of three adults and were happy to sunbathe around the pool in the morning then walk across the road to one of the beach bars at lunchtime for a beer, then a stroll up to Malgrat or down through Sants Susanna in the afternoon. A good place to go in the evening was the hotel next door (The Alhambra) where there was live music every night. Another nice place to go was Los Creditos bar (turn left at the Hotel Reymar towards the Luna Park hotel) where you could get a litre of beer for 3.00 euros.
My husband and I have just returned from a holiday in Santa Susanna, staying at the Hotel Riviera. Let me start by saying that the hotel is spotless, the staff are very friendly and the rooms are very modern. Now for the downsides:- We wanted wifi for our ipads and so we paid the 15 euros for the week. We went to the room and couldn't connect so I went back to reception and she got me connected. I explained that my husband couldn't get it either and she said he wouldn't because it is not 15 euros per room but per device (therefore a family of 4, each with a tablet and an iphone would have to pay 120 euros for the week) and I was still unable to log on to the hotels wifi unless I was in the reception area. Really loud music, until 12.00 midnight, each night from the hotel next door. I would class the food in the dining room as mediocre at best and definitely not catering for people who like 'Plain' food. Last but not least the flat screen tv in the room has one English speaking channel......BBC World News. This is not good, especially if it's raining, which luckily for us it was not.
I stayed at this hotel in August this year with my wife and teenage son. I'll start by saying it is possible the cleanest package holiday hotel I have stayed in for many years. The staff were always tiding up, washing floors and tables, sweeping the corridors and around the pool. It is very well located for the beach and local amenity's Our room was basic, the bathroom having a fullsize bath and a shower over. Unfortunately you could not use the shower if the window was open ( it opened into the shower head) The third bed been a "travel" folding bed which my son found very uncomfortable. The food is basic and repetitive, but cooked well and offers a choice at every sitting. The hotel staff are the best thing about the place, very helpful, always smiling and ready to help and answer questions. I would rate it as a good 3 star hotel that could make the step-up to 4 if it improves it's restaurant and refurbishes it's rooms. If I was looking for a cheap get-away I would stay here again.
Close to beach, BUT.... not very clean hotel, the same food every day, rooms are small, beds also. The pool is always full of children and it is impossible to swim. You have to pay if you want to have wi-fi... Not so bad hotel, but overpriced-yes.

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon after saving for a while , we arrived much later than we should have due to transfer problems . We were sorely disappointed with our room it was like going back to the 70's with its minimal wood effect furniture and wood chip wallpaper , portable TV with no remote , 2 single beds and a bath that would only fit a child !! Not to mention the room was filthy. We complained the next day and was told 'if we didn't like it we can leave' I was appalled at the lack of customer service which was none existent in this case !! So we made our way to the breakfast hall were again we were treated like animals by the door staff .... Yes door staff there was nothing allowed to be takin out you couldn't even take a handbag in with you !! As for the food it was vile , they had hot plates that had normal bulbs in safe to say the food was cold , bland and was never fresh ! The service at this hotel was very poor and the way we were treated was unbelievable ! I would class this as a 1 star not a 3 star by any means ! Sorely disappointed with the whole experience safe to say it's put me off Spain forever ! I certainly won't be booking through travel republic again !! Attached are just a few photos of our room !!
