Just arrived back home today after spending a week at Indalo Park Hotel. What a wonderful hotel everything perfect especially the two girls on the animation team, they actually made our holiday perfect. However i wish i could say the same for the two young girls who waited on the tables. I found them to be very rude and very ignorant, we waited until the boys came to the tables to serve us as they were lovely. Anyway i will forget about those two now as everyone else were fantastic. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
This was part of a package holiday with Jet2 Holidays, a dad and lad holiday! The first thing that needs to be said is that this Hotel caters for International guests and during our stay the clientele seemed 95% French and Dutch which wasn’t a problem for my son and myself but i know some do like to be surrounded by fellow Brits. The Reception Staff quickly booked us in and ensured we had 2 separate beds in our room, the size of our room was adequate with a powerful shower and bath and we got very lucky, we had a wrap around balcony overlooking the sea with private sunloungers to enjoy, it was great. If you want to use the fridge you have to pay 4 euros/day, there is also a charge for the safe and the internet connection is 7 euros/ week. We paid for the internet which worked well but in this day and age should be free. At this point I will mention the Reception Staff, all of them were very helpful and friendly and seemed to have a desire to solve any problem. In fact this Hotel seems blessed to have great staff in general, a special mention to the bar staff in the main bar, the Argentinian lifeguard and the Restaraunt Manager. (Sorry I don’t know the names). The pool area was very nice and the indoor pool was also handy as it was a bit chilly outside in early May. The evening entertainment was indoors and involved live bands and dancing which catered for the mainly elderly guests in the hotel at this time of year, everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. There is a outside area for entertainment but the weather was too cold at night, this will be used when it warms up. The Restaurant is down in the bowels of the hotel and to be honest was our only disappointment. The entrance is very cramped and there was often long queues to enter. The Restaurant was sectioned off for what seemed to be visiting tour groups/ coach parties, this resulted in us being shunted into one small space. The lay out of the buffet also means long queues for the cooked food and dirty plates seemed very slow to be cleared away from our table. In a nut shell, the location of the restaraunt is poor and it isn’t large enough to cater for everybody. The cooked food was ok but the breakfast product ( quality of sausage/bacon etc) wasn’t great. You also have to pay for all drinks with lunch and evening meals, including water!! The restaurant staff did there best but are hampered by the set up off the room I think. So to conclude, we liked the hotel apart from the Restaurant and the charge for water and internet connection. The staff and animation team are the jewels in the Crown, we enjoyed our stay and I can recommend this Hotel, it could be 5 stars if they dropped some of the petty charges and improved the dining experience.
I booked the Indalo Park for a break in October due to high ratings on trip advisor and overwhelmingly positive reviews. The location is excellent - an hour from the airport and a five minute walk from the beach. The little town of Santa Susanna is situated on the coastline, has a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere (I'd never heard of it before this holiday) but is readily accessible from Barcelona. (the train runs parallel to the coast!) Santa Susanna has a boulevard which the hotel is situated on along with bars and restaurants, or walk down a bit and you come to Malgrat de Mar (or Lloret de Mar which is further) (For these areas, turn LEFT out of the hotel using the exit by the pool.) Even further is Tossa de Mar, which is worth visiting as it has a seriously photogenic castle and village to explore. We took a boat trip there, but you could also drive. Santa Susanna's station is a ten minute walk away from the hotel and easy to find, as the platforms are basically open to the street. (For the station, come out onto the boulevard and turn RIGHT.) Tickets were around £10 each return to Barcelona - and the hotel provides timetables! Our room was small but had a balcony and the best shower I've ever had in a hotel! The room was spotless. Unfortunately there were almost no English channels on TV and the beds were two singles rather than a double as requested, but not big issues. The hotel has a large outdoor (unheated) pool and an indoor pool, which although it is advertised as only being open in bad weather was actually open every day we were there. The two Jacuzzis were also nice, though they are warm! The food was excellent and of a very high standard. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice and drinks machines with all kinds of juices and coffees. For dinner & lunch there was a huge choice of main dishes and a huge array of salads, soups, breads etc. (There must have been over fifteen salads alone) I never found anything I didn't enjoy. Everything was tasty. The puddings lack a little, but I've often found this in Europe. There's plenty of ice cream, fruit, mousses etc. along with Crème Catalan supplied every night. There is even 'cream' flavoured ice cream as well as vanilla - which shows you how much choice there was. Annoyingly, you had to pay for drinks - despite being half or full board. I would expect to pay for soft or alcoholic drinks but I do think tap water should be available! This was my only complaint about the dining. There was a form of entertainment most nights, even in this out of season period, and the bar staff serve you at your table. The hotel met our expectations and we had a lovely holiday.
My wife and i have just got back from this hotel, in which we stayed for 1 week....Our previous holiday was a 5* all inclusive hotel, highly rated for its food and service....Both my wife and i were very disappointed with both and so, with holiday, she scoured the forum sites to make sure we were going to a place highly rated on both counts!....hence, our holiday selection of Indalo park....I dont know wether or not it was because it was getting near to the end of season or what but the complex certainly did not live up to its 4.5☆ trip advisor rating...From our arrival to our departure we felt that we were an inconvenience, the food was the same every night and appart from the soup, was generally luke warm!..the room was ok but with live music every night, ear plugs were needed....on the plus side, it was a cheap out of season holiday, with no frills....would it have been better high season?...i can only guess it would be worse?!!..how its got such a high trip advisor rating, i dont know?...i really wanted to give it 2.5☆...but had to go 3!..
Travelled from 19th to the 20th October . My friend and I agreed that the Indalo park hotel is charming . We had a quiet room on the 4th floor room 414 it is situated around the back the sun came around in the afternoon . The room was excellent exceptionally clean and comfortable this goes for the bathroom as well the maid service was very good they work very hard. The restaurant was clean and the food good ,the staff were very nice and helpful just one criticism is the seating could arrangements could do with rethinking it would have been nice to sit in the same place throughout the week.
From 9th to 16th Oct '17, my wife and I stayed at the Indalo Park after having our initial holiday cancelled following the Monarch Airlines collapse. I have never been to a hotel which was so technically up to date and switched on. The reception staff were so efficient. The room was lovely and perfectly clean, with a card with the maid's name, ANNA. What a good job she did. I was impressed that all the lights were LED, and the room electrics were turned on by the insertion to the room key card on entering the room. Very Green! The wife paid 5 Euros for internet access which was very fast and no connections problems anywhere in and around the hotel. The food was of excellent quality, both for breakfast and evening meal with a fantastic selection of salads, but not every one likes garlic and cheese on everything. However it was sometimes a bit repetitive, but rabbit and liver in "sauce" were really good. We were second sitting, 8 to 10 pm, and by 8.30 pm things were being cleared away. But, after all, it is an International hotel and has to cater for all, not just us Brits. The pool area was good, with plenty of sunbeds and clean. Drinks in the hotel were a little pricy. Well placed in the resort. wish we had known that there are mobility scooters for hire, not from the hotel, but with charging point in the lobby.
revisited this hotel from last year because we enjoyed it so much.glad to see olga on reception still as helpful as ever, olso susana, great thanks. the entertainment,is excelent and bar service good.as of the dinning selection could do with a better selection such as gateaux custard sponge, although this is only my fancy.i though that the head man in the restaraunt could be a little more friendy.the hotel and the rooms were very clean.so all in all i will be back
Lovely, clean room, with very comfy beds and a good sized balcony in a great location just off the beach, our only issue was that the air conditioning didn't work. The pool and Terraza area are fantastic as well with 2 hot tubs and friendly table service from the bar. The food was good, a varied selection but the dining room was a bit chaotic in the evening and only having an hour for dinner made it feel rather rushed. At breakfast the continental selection is excellent with a vast array of fruit, pastries, cereal, sliced meats and cheese and delicious warm bread but we found that from the hot selection, the bacon and sausage were consistently rather undercooked for our taste (Bordering on raw on a couple of occasions!) The hotel has a nice, relaxed attitude and the staff were all friendly and helpful. All in all, excellent value for money and a delightful week in Santa Susanna. Moltes gràcies,
A wonderful holiday ... cleanliness, excellent food, maximum fun, friendly and friendly staff. The team of animators, unpaired. Thank you Kelvin, Lydia, Gabriel, and sweetheart Joseph. I recommend everyone .. go without fear ..
