                          Clayton Hotel Silver Springs

Not a hotel for a long stay

First off this is a very old and dated hotel. They were doing renovations of the 2nd and part of the 3rd floor while we were there and the elevators could only access the 2nd floor. We had tobtake the stairs to the 3rd. With 2 large suitcases and folf clubs it was not easy. They did upgrade us to a suite and it was very large but it was so old. The bed was so hard you could feel every single spring. Also there was no a/c. I know most places don't have them there but the window would only open an inch so it was so hot all night. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything. I hate writing bad reviews but this place needs a lot of work.

                          Oriel House Hotel

Nice, near Cork and Blarney Castle

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Bistro/bar had decent pub food, restaurant wasn't open the nights were were there. Be sure to take a luffa or wash cloth - hotel does not provide.

                          Cork Airport Hotel

                          Surprisingly great!

For me, when you book an airport hotel, it's for convenience and convenience alone, but Cork Airport Hotel was a a surprising treat for how much more it delivered! The hotel was very clean. The room was comfortable. The bar and lobby are beyond expectation- welcoming, tastefully decorated, entertaining. Most importantly, each staff member we interated with was helpful and enthusiatstic. And if you needed anything else, there were even free cookies :)

                          The West Cork Hotel

                          A warm and friendly hotel

The West Cork seems to be the center of community social life. A wedding anniversary party held there while I was there, People meeting in the bar after work, Just a comfortable homey feel with a wonderfully friendly staff. The owner/manager, Tim Looney was there every day, a friendly guy. Food was excellent. It was quiet at night, I highly recommend it.
