AC Hotel Córdoba by Marriott4.0 out of 5.0

We chose to stay at this hotel because we were arriving to Cordoba by train late at night and had to leave again early the next morning. The hotel is a five minute walk to/from the train station so it was really convenient for a quick stop over in the city. We had a chance for a quick walk when we got in and while it is located on the north end of the city, it seems like it was a close walk to most of the sights there. There are some cute restaurants and bars on the same street as the hotel. The hotel itself was fine. The staff that checked us in and out were polite but were not very friendly or overly helpful. The room that we stayed in was also fine but the bathroom had hair all over the shower and floors. Breakfast was the best part of the stay! In the end, I'm glad we stayed here because it was so easy to get to/from the train and bus station and it was much cheaper than some of the other hotels that were nearby. If I was staying in Cordoba for a longer period of time though, I would stay somewhere else.
We stayed here for one night on Christmas Eve. Difficult time to travel especially with everything closed and small staff. They were very helpful finding us parking (small van) and letting us know about early closing if restaurants. Hotel is a very simple with the right amenities. Would stay here again with family.
AC Marriott is located a block from both the train and bus station. It was an €7 taxi to get to the Mezquita although generally we walked along the park area and it took about 30 minutes. Rooms were nicely appointed. Bed was comfortable and wi-fi service was good. Breakfast was just ok and did not include any hot items.
Although the hotel is on a very busy and noisy main road, the rooms at the back are fine. Susana at reception went out of her way to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible. Thanks Susana. Other staff too were helpful. Although the room is pretty small, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom better than most. Breakfast offers a good choice, though there weren't any eggs, which I missed. It's a doable walk to the old city and across the road from the train and bus stations. So very convenient.
We stayed 2 nights to see Cordoba. Hotel is part of Marriott but not sure who gave them this status as it is a good 2 start hotel at the best. Staff was outstanding though. Location Great location and only a block from train station. Walking distance to places to Eat and 20 minute minutes walk to Historic side. Room: No in room coffee and you are forced to buy 2 euro coffee from hotel coffee place. Average with Marriott amenities like bathrobe, toiletries etc. we got an upgrade which turn out to be an accessible room so not a real upgrade as those rooms are last to go usually and do not have tubs. The comforter was not on the bed but folded and put away in closet. Really average looking room and kind of depressing. Poor air conditioning!! we had asked for fan when we booked but the hotel did not have any fans. Really in Cordoba hotel does not keep fans? It was hot and unbearably hot. You don’t get a free breakfast as Marriott rewards member. There were really minimal perks for being a reward member at this hotel in general. The hotel has a restaurant but there a lot more outside which hotel didn’t advertise on the website or gave us recommendations for places quite far. You can get even reasonable food at the train station or walk just a Couple of blocks to stumble across places to eat. I had to request upgraded free WiFi as reward Member. This is the first place that didn’t give me the code at check in. In short short sighted management who is trying to get most money out of guests and ruining Marriott brand.
The room was really nice. It was comfortable and clean and great amenities. The breakfast was pretty good. I stayed here because I needed a hotel close to the train station for an early train. It is right across the street from the train station. It is a 20-25 minute walk into the city center so if you are looking for something near the Mezquita or in the old town, this may not be the place for you. But it's an easy walk through a park so it's definitely doable.
We stayed in this hotel last August with our kids, the stuff is very kind and helpfull, the room (we had a superior) is very spacious, clean and has a very comfortable double bed. The only negative point was the couch, the bed was ucomfortable and very hard, my daughter slept there as she is small she had no problem but for an adult would be very uncomfortable. The bathroom is huge and has everything you need for a pleasent stay. The breakfast was good and with plenty of choices. The hotel has a parking which is good and the location is great for visiting the city of Cordoba. We will go back for sure.
I was very disappointed in this hotel. It is 10-15 minutes by taxi to the city center and is in an area with no cafes or shops of any kind. It is one block from the rail station. The restaurant and bar are closed in August, which was very inconvenient especially since there was nowhere else to eat in the area. All the sites in city center close in August by 2 pm due to the heat and it would have been nice to come back to the hotel and grab a bite to eat or sit in a courtyard. There is no courtyard or terrace, only indoor space. This is the most stripped down AC Hotel that I have stayed in. The one outside city center in Seville that I stayed in the day before had an operating restaurant and a terrace to have a drink or meal in. I would only recommend this hotel to business travelers who will not be sightseeing or expecting any other amenities.
This hotel was right next to the train station which was convenient. We only stayed there one night, but the hotel was great, and the staff was nice. The hotel manager took the time to figure out how to use the gift card that we had. Thanks!
The hotell is next to the train station, small and even though is says marriott on the entrance I believe this is not a marriot. This is more a courtyard type hotel with very limited service..The hotel s quite new and clean not far from the main tourist attractions.I arrive in the afternoon and there was only one person in the front desk,no service at the bar/breakfast restaurant.Probably the heat kept people at home..More suitable for business travel than family travel.
