Perfectly situated between Int 80 and Hwy 50, in the Heart of Gold Country, make B-B Ranch Cottage your private, country retreat.

Uniquely positioned in the middle of the Gold Country`s many recreational activities, you will find some of the world`s finest horseback riding and mountain biking trails as well as white water rafting and kayaking, all within minutes of your stay.

B-B Ranch is a serene and peaceful working cattle ranch, surrounded by our resident horses, cattle, chickens and dogs, not to mention the multitude of wildlife that frequent the ranch. Bring your horse along to enjoy your stay in our fully enclosed barn, and your dog to enjoy the ranch life experience as well. There is a pet fee of $50. per dog per stay and $15. per night per horse which includes stall and feeding.

Relax in the peacefulness of ranch life and if you are inspired to cook, you will love the brand new kitchen. Enjoy picking your own vegetables from the salsa garden when in season and the herbs right from your own front deck. Farm fresh eggs will be stocked in your refrigerator upon arrival as well as a goodie basket of treats for your stay. You will enjoy special delivery packages delivered to your front door with freshly harvested goodies from the garden as the season allows. But peacefulness, is nothing without relaxation first, so enjoy your own private HOT TUB complete with BBQ and seasonal fire pit areas. Please note: We are a high fire hazard area, so open flame fires are only permitted in season.

To entertain you, the game parlor, complete with WiFi books, board and card games, bluetooth capable vinyl record player and vintage radio, full spectrum 50` SMART TV with complete Direct-TV and Netflix programming, you will find plenty of options to keep you entertained. For working remotely, we offer several laptop friendly workspaces including comfortable desk chairs and lamp, smart monitor and speakers and multiple charging stations with phone chargers and built-in usb wall ports. There is also a private workspace with desktop when total privacy is needed. If just unwinding is your plan, you will find it easy to complete the stress free experience you`re searching for as you will love the spa shower complete with jacuzzi soaking tub to melt all of your cares and sore muscles away. Sink into your pillow top mattress with 1250 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and you won`t find the need to count sheep at night to help you drift right off to sleep. And as you awake in the morning, you`ll find both the Nespresso and Keurig coffee makers and a great selection of teas and cider to start your morning off on the right note.

If you want more activities, hiking, boating and off roading are all within a 30 minute drive or the slopes of the Sierra`s are just over an hour away. If relaxing is more in order, you can easily find a myriad of vineyards for wine tasting and touring the historic town of Coloma, where gold was first discovered within minutes away. History abounds with the towns of Auburn and Placerville and the many other historic Gold Rush towns and Historic State Parks along scenic Hwy 49, awaiting your discovery all within a short drive away.

The best way to get around is by car due to our rural location.

Wonderful Exurban Escape

We really loved relaxing in the outdoor spaces and exploring all of the neighboring properties when we stayed at Rebecca's place in Cool. Plus, the house was decorated so cute and was very clean. Rebecca was an extremely accommodating host. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I loved our stay here. The cottage was clean and well-decorated. We enjoyed saying hi to the horses in the pasture and giving them treats. Our host was nice enough to start a fire for us in the fire pit outside. The only downside was that the road from the main part of town to the property was narrow.

It was beautifully appointed, the table was already set! We enjoyed eggs from the farm’s chickens & Martinelli and fruit. The photos of the bedrooms were accurate but the public space was much larger than photos showed. There was an alcove with table, chairs and a cabinet full of games in addition to the sofa and coffee table at the stove in the corner.The cottage was at the end of a long winding road through beautiful farm and ranch land.

Beautiful house on a beautiful property

The 2 bedroom house was comfortable and lovely. My daughters made instant friend with the nearby horses (just yards away). The farm is gorgeous and remote. Just take care that driving back from dinner in town can be a little tricky. All in all we had a fabulous stay!

The most amazing stay!

The most amazing stay! We had a fantastic time. The hosts give you that personal extra touch that we so appreciated. Rebecca would immediately respond and solved our issue— like how to run the jacuzzi— we just had to push the right button! It is so beautiful and peaceful there. Bring your food and whatever you are wanting to do because you’ll not want to leave to go anywhere else.

Very nice cottage with lots of amenities. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of good pots, pans, knives etc. All the things needed to make meals. Super clean, neat and tidy. The hot tub is nice. Fresh eggs in the fridge. Great location, close to trails and wildlife. This is probably one of the best, if not the best, short term rentals I've stayed at.

My dear husband worked it out with the owners to have my birthday getaway here, and I couldn't have been more delighted. Both owners are so approachable, very kind, down to earth, and just the salt of the earth type people. A wonderful Thanksgiving on the ranch

Five stars is not enough to rate how kind and generous our hosts were to us. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and it was clean throughout. Communication was excellent, describing every detail on how to operate lights, locks, hot tub, and thermostat. We enjoyed great views and walks. Fresh eggs were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the cottage for a secluded getaway. Thank you George and Rebecca!

Relaxing and Peaceful

We stayed at the cottage for a weekend wedding event at s nearby winery. The place is super cute and so tastefully decorated. The ranch was so relaxing and the ambience was perfect. Rebecca, our host was Outstanding. If we needed anything or had any questions, she was very accommodating and helpful! We had fresh eggs upon our arrival and more fresh eggs the next morning. We also had a cuddle kitty hang out with us when we had coffee on the porch. His name is Northstar and he has the bluest eyes!!! The Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was awesome. Beds had super soft sheets and blankets and were very comfortable! All in all, it was a spectacular weekend ever and would rate it 10 stars if we could. :) Thank you again, Rebecca for your hospitality. We really appreciate it and will coming back in 2025! Really nice quiet property in a area of horse ranches. In fact you could see them out the window. Place really has a spacious feel so we were very relaxed. Most of the time in in VRBO there is something missing from the kitchen but not here. Would definitely stay again

B&B Ranch in Cool, Ca, beautiful place.

We did a short stay at the ranch cottage, 95 year old mother in law. She thought it was beautiful, we did as well. Rebecca had everything we needed and more. A lot HOT weather but a beautiful peaceful place to stay.
