We had a first-floor 2-bedroom unit that was lovely. I've stayed in A LOT of Residence Inns (b/c they are dog friendly, usually offer 2 bedrooms, and have decent breakfast), and this one actually surprised me with how nice it was. Newer carpets, fixtures, paint, kitchens - I don't even know what all it was but it surprised me in a pleasant way. Traveling as a family of four with a dog it's always nice at the end of the day to be able to spread out and relax in your own space. Breakfast was nice - this hotel even had flavored syrup for your coffee! We even took our dog to eat with us at Lazy Dog across the freeway. I would stay here again if in the area.
We stayed three nights at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and the hotel was located in an area that was accessible to the freeway. Hotel staff were friendly and remembered us when we came back for the day and inquired how our outings went. The rooms had a full kitchen if needed, but we did not use it. Free breakfast was provided which had a variety of items including eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, and pastries. The woman in the breakfast area was very sweet and worked hard to keep up with the demand of the guests. The only recommendation I have would be to leave cooking spray for the waffle iron out as the waffle stick without it. We have stayed at many Marriott properties and this was the first time I have had to ask for it and then it was put away after I sprayed it on the waffle iron.
I have a long history with this property and can state with confidence that it has improved over time. The rooms have been upgraded to a more modern look and the comfort has improved. What really sets this place apart is that the staff is friendly, helpful and very attentive to each person's needs. Another great thing is the housekeeping and food prep staff are incredible. The rooms are cleaned very well and any special needs services are provided immediately without delay. The food is prepared with tender loving care and the prep staff really is friendly and attentive. They host a very special outdoor barbeque or food truck at times and it really helps when we are away from our homes and family at lengthy times. I can't say anything bad about this hotel. My experience is over a few years of consistent stays at this place and I still keep coming back. One last thing to note is the front desk folks are the best I've experienced in much of my travels in the US. Great place to stay and well managed!!!
The front desk girls were nice! The room was very clean. Our room was next to freeway and dumpster so it was very loud. It smelled like urine by our room door and there were flies. The sixth day of our visit we had an employee come up to us while we were smoking. 25 feet from our room like sign said. He told us he had been watching us and that where we put cigs out was not our private dumping ground. There were no snuffers to put cigs in. He was very rude and this could have been handled much better. We will not be staying here again and we visit No. Cal a lot. Next time we will stay next door at the new Hilton that is being built.
This hotel is a little hard to locate without a GPS. We did locate it after a few wrong turns and we're happy we did. In spite of being close to the freeway (680), we didn't hear the noise at all in our room. We also brought our doggy and the deposit is $100 for a pet. There aren't too many hotels in the area that allow pets, so we were happy to pay the cleaning deposit as long as we could check in with him.
We had four adults and one child staying here. We have stayed at several hotels in the area and prefer this two bedroom two bath suite which is more economical than two separate rooms. They put us in a suite but the freeway at first. Not too bad really as they had triple pane windows and we quickly got used to the freeway noise but we asked for a suite away from the noise and the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. Since we were staying a longer time they let us look at the locations of what was available and we found a nice upstairs unit with vaulted ceilings and spacious living area. We loved the separate bedrooms with a nice updated kitchen and living room in the center. Large windows make it bright and welcoming. We enjoyed the staff and they got to know us and asked if we needed anything. Nice breakfast and amenities although we were too busy to enjoy the pool. No vhatge for parking which is a plus as several hotels in the area charge so check that out as that can be an extra expense. I would recommend this place and we will return.
My wife booked me here for 1 night as it is very close to one of our kids apartments. She chose this for location (good) and because it claimed to have recently renovated all the rooms. These rooms have not been recently renovated. I stay in a lot of Marriott properties and I know what a renovated room looks like and it is not this. If you are booking expecting a fresh renovated smell you will be disappointed.
Front Desk Friend / Service Staff lacks Hospitality Skills ( Not Friendly) Check in was effortless . Room was nice loved the privacy etc . Was disappointed with the morning staff in the breakfast area in the am . Quiet honestly that's the biggest sell when I book a room. I usually go for a made to order breakfast at the Embassy but for the most part the Residence Inn has never failed to disappoint till now. They had two types of sausages and scrambled eggs , salsa and tortillas if you like that. They had a waffle maker and most Marriott have a spray you spray on the iron to avoid it from sticking this one had none . The OJ carafe was removed at 9:40 the breakfast area closed at 10am the lady never replenished . I called for her several times she ignored me . She did however come out to tell everyone the food area would be closing in five minutes. They had lots of pastries etc if your into that. I would have been fine with Oj and toast but that never happened. Very disappointed also staff promised my daughter a bag a popcorn that they never made good on. Quite honestly I felt like I was a nuisance and not like a A welcomed patron. As for the room the condition was clean the only minus is the bathroom did not have a new roll of toilet paper. If you have a new customer checking in provide a new roll of TP awe didn't spend much time in the room yesterday being Thanksgiving we just used it for a place to crash so we didn't drive home tired last night. I definitely feel like I don't get my monies worth. Perk parking is free . Property is an secluded area. Close to freeway but no traffic noise.
More than enough space for my whole family of 4. The staff was so nice and accommodating at all hours. Basketball courts, pool, hot tub, food, full kitchen, safe, fire pit, happy hour, peace and quiet, and a fabulous breakfast. Thank you Julia and Bernice! I'd highly recommend this hotel. Seamless.
Unfortunately the two times our families have needed to stay here has been due to a memorial. This hotel felt like "home" and comforted us with their utmost hospitality. We highly recommend this Inn.❤️
