The staf were very friendly. The location of the hotel was perfect for the christmas markets and was near many bars. The room was a perfect size with great amenities.

Our family if 5 arrived in Cologne after a 20 hour nightmare travel situation on 3 planes and a train in which the airline lost our bags. Hassan at the front desk was a light in a storm, making us feel welcome. His colleague ( I am so sorry I forgot her name! She’s great! Red-ish hair, glasses, super helpful!) immediately got a map and helped us find a place to buy clothes and toiletries. We were able to get clothing and pjs and had a wonderful stay at the Rhein Hotel St. Martin. The beds were super comfortable, the room was spotless, the attention to detail was wonderful and we had a great stay! And the Christmas markets are fantastic!!

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Room 106 was clean but very cold. The termostat for the heating/ air conditioner did next to nothing. The other room we booked (107) was warm. All windows were left open by the cleaners one day, likely due to condensation from the room being cold. There was a "bee boop" sound going off somewhere, no idea if it was from outside the hotel or not. The towels provided were quite small but were replaced each day at least. There was one incident of our keycard for 106 not working causing mild panic after a long day. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

This hotel was awesome and convenient for visiting the Christmas markets there. Many restaurants and tons of sites to see. It was a bit difficult to find parking due to the time of year, so be prepared if you go during the Christmas season. Overall just great!

We had a great time at this hotel. The view was amazing and the staff were pleasant and always friendly. We enjoyed these facilities and the balcony/window we had was lovely. We loved the breakfast that was complimentary in the morning and we loved the ability to connect our phone to the TV to watch Netflix etc. The location was amazing and the food & drink in the immediate area was lovely. We will be back for sure!

The room is quite small, which may be due to the hotel being in an older area. The advertisement for lift accessibility is only partly accurate, as my room could not be fully accessed by lift and required using stairs, which is a major inconvenience when carrying large luggage. However, the staff were very friendly, and the hotel is located close to the Old Town.

This should 100% NOT be listed as a 4-star hotel. Hotel layout was HUGE inconvenience (having to travel to 4th floor and walk back down narrow stairs with big heavy bags to the 3rd is not ideal). Rooms have an American motel room vibe and the 'breakfast' is a 2-tier tray of apples and stale pastries left out the night before in the restaurant nextdoor, which of course had no light nor any plates, napkins, or cups. Not recommended. Was wrongfully listed as a 4-star hotel on Google when I booked

The room I was in was clean and warm and accommodating. I had a view of the Rhine, which was beautiful. It was located in an ideal spot and I had easy access to all of the Christmas Markets. Lots of good music, eating and drinking places.

The hotel looks lovely and is clean. However the plumbing had some situation during our 3 night stay. We kept the windows open overnight to not get overwhelmed by the sewer gas from the bathroom which was awful however there was a bar that is open until 3 am on Friday night and Saturday nights which was very loud, there was a fight Friday and police called saturday.Had there been no plumbing situation, this would have been a great stay because it was close to many sights to see and we could of kept the windows closed.

Rooms are very small, beds are situated so that one person has to climb over the other to get out of bed, not ideal in the middle of the night. We were travelling with family and our daughters bathroom was so tiny that her husband had to sit diagonally on the toilet. On the plus side, very clean, fridge in room which is always handy and hotel is situated along the river and within easy walking distance of most attractions.
