The hotel is appealing, cozy and spacious at the same time. Staff is helpful, everything runs smoothly. Breakfast is particularly good, offering a variety of foods and drinks, making the begining of the day very pleasant.
Series of unfortunate events. Hotel is in a convenient location- only 15min walk to the cathedral and 5-10min to the shops. Check in was easy and rooms very comfortable. Shower had good pressure which is always a bonus. Problems started on the second night. Some inconsiderate guest had gone out and left his poor dog in the room who proceeded to bark for 2hours straight before I asked for the matter to be resolved. Staff were kind and moved me immediately to a better room. I do wonder whether there should be a rule that pets should not be left unaccompanied in the room. Not the poor dog’s fault. Check out was a drama as apparently my card wasn’t working despite the deposit having been taken off. After a 30min drama and the front desk doing nothing but trying the same over and over again I contacted my bank and they sorted... personally I don’t think it should be left up the customer to sort it out and don’t ask the customer to go sit down while you find your Manager and then the customer come back to find your manager present and busy with other customers. This was a disappointing end to the experience with this hotel.
Welcoming staff and a very nice clean room. The location is ok and will be improved once the long-awaited tram station is finished. We like walking though and the location is very convenient for the city.
The location was very good, right on the tram line and also the bus station, only a few stops from the centre. Even on foot it's only 20 minutes walk. The room was very good, clean and big enough which met my expectations. The breakfasttwas very good with variety of choices. The staff was polite, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
We have previously staying in much more expensive hotels in Cologne. Not any more. The fifth floor room which had a very pleasant balcony with table and chairs with great views was large clean and had a shower room which was also very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Note that the lift only goes to the fourth floor. There are are 17 steps to the fifth floor. The only downsides were its location was not as central as some and the Accor Group's persistence in serving terrible coffee.
The location was good for my visit. Right on the tram line 3 stops to koelnmesse. I had a junior suite which sounded great but the room layout was so strange that I didn't use the other room at all. I had a damp smell in my room for most of the stay. No dry cleaning available on the weekend (!!). The bar was good & the menu was good to eat dinners at the bar. Gym had machines but ok towels or water bottles provided in the gym or sauna. You had to go to reception for those. The hotel is a square around a courtyard, which made it really difficult to get to my room - I had to walk always 2 sides due to the location of the lifts. Breakfast was as expected in German hotel. Staff were mostly friendly & helpful. Bar staff were great and the bar manager a lively spirit which was fun after a big work day. I prefer staying closer into the centre near the Dom as there are more options for eating outside of the hotel close by.
Clean spacious room with comfortable bed and all the necessities. even had a balcony overlooking the city. Hotel in nice area within walking distance to centre and underground station right next to the hotel. highly recommend
Lights not working n the bathroom (not fixed) broken sockets throughout the room (2 fixed) no functioning safe (fixed) open rock wool insulation on a balcony under construction (not fixed) room not properly cleaned and no fresh coffee or cups on 2 out of 6 mornings 17€ parking fee per day not listed on website At 1500+€ a real disaster
- but ask for a room facing away from the railwails since the good connection to the public transport system comes with a price. Close to the city center, 20 min walk to the Dom and perfect conntection to Köln Messe.
Bright cheerful hotel with parking underneath for Euro 17 per night. Warm welcome and small but comfortable and cheerful room. Cannot recommend Dinner. Restaurant closed (Friday night) so ate in the bar. Same menu as room service and bar staff seemed unwilling to offer service.
