Check in was smooth and was given our room right away. The hotel is very close to Texas A&M University. It is located close to a few restaurants which is good but we were only there for one night. They have a complimentary breakfast. The room is just right and for one night it’s great. They gave us a king bed so my daughter slept in the sleep sofa. It has a kitchenette equipped with pots and pans. Plates, cups, glasses and silverwares too. I would recommend this Residence Inn.
When I first arrived I saw an elderly man on a walker at the front desk telling the clerk his toilet had overflowed. The clerk gave the old man a plunger and basically blew him off. The old man could not even carry the plunger because he could barely get around on his walker. Not long after that I saw another guest complaining of the same thing. By the next morning my toilet was doing the same thing. I called to the desk to ask to be room moved and she transfers me to the manager who basically tells me that's my problem and he isn't moving me and asks me when will I be leaving his property. Wow - I could not believe it. I have never been spoken to or treated so rude. And by their manager. The property looks very nice but what good is that when the toilets back up and the staff is rude and unaccommodating ? When you have an issue - they aren't trying to fix it - they just want to know when you will be leaving. I felt so bad for the eldest man in the walker that night. Then I saw this is an ongoing problem at this hotel.
This Hotel was 5 stars! staff was nice and professional. Cleaning staff were very accommodating. Hotel decor was up to date and very comfortable. our suite had everything we needed. I can't say enough about this hotel. I will definitely refer to my friends and family. Wonderful stay. Plenty of restaurants and shopping right there.
This property is not new, but it has been recently updated. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in an area with lots of good restaurants within walking distance. It is within a block of a busy road, but the traffic noise didn't bother me. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was the usual offering but had lots of options. Our only problem was an exterior door lock that didn't work. It was raining, and we had to walk around the building to get access.
Our family took refuge from Hurricane Harvey at this wonderful hotel. Clean comfortable rooms. Great breakfast each morning. Fresh baked cookies and lemonade each afternoon. A great happy hour snack to start each evening. Although we had over 20" of rain at the hotel during our stay, everyone on the staff was always pleasant and accommodating. We had 2 dogs, 1 baby, 1 toddler, 1 pregnant mommy, and 1 grandma (me). We all fare well and I couldn't have been more pleased. If the hotel can be that good during a hurricane, imagine how it would be without one.
I was extremely impressed with this hotel. Very clean and nice. Water pressure was fabulous. Breakfast was wonderful. Great location to food options. We plan on booking there again in out future travels.
Our party of three had a great stay in College Station at this updated and clean property. The staff was friendly and efficient. The complimentary breakfast was good - eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, rolls, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices. The property is well maintained and in a good area with shopping and restaurants nearby. Having a full kitchen was an added bonus.
You couldn't ask for a better place to stay. From the minute you enter the lobby, the staff go out of their way to be helpful. They are very friendly. The entire hotel is clean. The room was spotless and very well maintained. No issues at all. A flawless experience. Highly recommended.
We love this place! The staff are always super friendly. They are very accommodating to our needs. We stayed recently for a short visit, could not have been better. Having the kitchen, fridge and utensils made meals "at home" easier. The hotel is close to everything. Highly recommended.
If you decide to stay here I would recommend asking for a room opposite of the basketball court. I have listened to screaming, yelling, and basketballs bouncing for the last 4 hours. Not a good option for those of us that travel for work and have been up since 3:30am. Next time I'm in town I plan to got back to the Towne Place Suites. The fist two guys that were playing weren't even guests of the hotel they parked across the street and walked over and used the court. Now there's about 6 younger guy who are extremely competitive playing in the dark.
