The Log Cabin es rústico pero lujoso. Está bien equipado con una cocina comercial estilo, comedor de planta abierta y zona de estar con una estufa de leña acogedor. Hay una zona de utilidad adicional con un congelador, lavadora-secadora y zona de preparación de las barbacoas y actividades al aire libre. Hay 5 habitaciones, cada una con ropa de cama blanca y toallas. We had a family 80th birthday & golden wedding anniversary. 4 generations 13 of us from 7-84yrs. The accommodation & location was absolutely perfect. The pictures on the listing don't do the place justice! The space is amazing inside and out. It was great that the kids could just run around outside & we didn't have to worry. The accommodation is so comfortable and spacious. It was lovely & clean. Beds were very comfortable & bedding of good quality. We had a great bbq, made use of the fire pit & used the log burner. Honestly Catherine has thought of everything. As a host Catherine was brilliant, communication was great 100% recommend. The area is great for walking, all on the doorstep.Only 1 negative...some larger towels would be appreciated.

Lovely cabin away from the workd

Group of friends with kids used this cabin as a place to catchup and slow down. Great central space and kitchen area meant everything was easy for everyone. Really clean throughout and plenty of outside space for sports,walks and relaxing.

Amazing property

We stayed here with the family for my dads 60th birthday, there was 10 adults and 4 children and everyone had the most amazing time. The property is beautiful and located in the common that provides wildlife and stunning views. The host Catherine was really helpful and the communication was great! The neighbours Anne and John and their son recommended a stunning walk to watch the sunset and even let us into their home to see the local badger out of the window. This was honestly the best UK staycay we I’ve been to, thank you Catherine.

Birthday Weekend

Exceeded expectations. The photos cannot capture the true glory of the setting: an extended log cabin nestling in a large grassy area, surrounded by forest. We had beautiful weather, which helped, but even if the weather hadn't been so good I think we would still have had a great stay. Lots to do and see and in the local area: the Forest of Dean, Wye Valley, Coleford and Monmouth within easy reach. We also went swimming and had. a sauna at Keeper's Pond in the Brecon Beacons near Abergavenny - a 40 minute drive. The 6 and 3 year olds in the party had a wonderful time playing outside and exploring the forest, while the adults relaxed, ate outside, sat around the fire in the evening. Catherine, the host, is incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. She came to visit on the first evening to check we were ok. The one upstairs bedroom is very warm in warm weather, but the occupants slept with the stable door half open. The cabin has an unbelievably well resourced kitchen; we even baked a cake! And tv's in every room, although we never really used them. We would definitely go back. It is the best family rental that we have experienced. If you like nature, quirkiness, getting away from it all, you'll like this.

Celebrating a special birthday with the family

We had a wonderful weekend staying at Buckstone. The accomodation was clean, spacious and magical and catered for everything we needed to celebrate my Father's 70th birthday with 7 adults, 7 children and a dog. We were able to tick everything off the planned list including meals around the huge dining table, camp fires, a bbq, a game of rounders and a woodland walk. The surroundings are lovely and scenic. I would highly recommend staying at Buckstone. Thank you Catherine! ⭐️

Family birthday celebration for Grandad

This was our second stay at this wonderful property. Catherine the owner is a lovely lady, very attentive and accommodating. The location in the middle of the woods was perfect for us, peaceful and secure for the children and dog to wander in the large paddock without us worrying. Super to have such a range of wildlife on our doorstep. The children loved spotting deer and badgers and the birdwatcher in the family had a wonderful time. The cabin is comfortable and had everything we needed to cater for all 14 of us. This is a really super place to stay and we hope to come back for a third visit.

Wonderful cabin and super host. In the heart of the forest a perfect venue for our family gathering

Catherine was very helpful during booking and right through to our checkout, she is a lovely person relaxed and friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. The cabin was perfect, safe for our children, comfortable, and well equipped including the ice machine and football table! We all loved the camp fire and large secure grass are to play in. Set right in the heart of the woods we really enjoyed exploring the woods and were delighted to see badgers. Thanks for a perfect short break. All 13 of us loved it.

Fabulous venue for family get together

Great location and venue for family get together - well equipped kitchen for self catering huge table for everyone to gather round eat and play games. Outdoor space for teenagers to let off steam and secure for dogs to run around, plenty of toilets and showers for large group. Great walks on doorstep and bluebells were stunning. Great Log cabin!

We had a great weekend and would highly recommend Buckstone Log cabin! It was perfect for our group of family and friends with 4 small children and a dog. The cabin was fantastic, spacious, so clean and a great layout with everything you could possibly need for a perfect group stay! Catherine was welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
