This large contemporary mountain home is in Suncadia’s Nelson Preserve in the heart of the forest. Seclusion, stunning forest views, and visits from wildlife enhance your stay in this beautiful, contemporary home. Yet, you are just down the road from Nelson Farm with swimming pool and seasonal activities, and a short drive to the resort core with golf, winery, fine dining, and spa.
This upscale, contemporary mountain retreat has a spacious, open concept floor plan. It boasts may extras such as a formal living room, family room with wet bar, and a library on the second floor. There is a separate nursery with crib and changing table near the master bedroom. Massive windows are strategically placed to enhance the forest view. Wood accents and ceramic tile floors and walls contribute to the atmosphere of an elegant mountain lodge.
Stepping in just past the entry hall is a large open dining area with a large table seating 8. It opens into the fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops, double ovens, and an extra-large center island with 6 comfortable bar stools. The formal living room invites conversation in front of the massive stone fireplace, lounging on the chaise gazing out the floor to ceiling windows at the forest, or playing cards at the game table.
The second-floor family room is the place to watch TV or hang out at the bar. Want some peace and quiet? Close the sliding barn door and grab a good book off the shelf in the library for a good read, or maybe even a cat nap. great house, bad maintenance
This is my second time staying at this exact VR. This time around it seems the cleaning and maintenance of the home has degraded. We were met with filthy floors throughout, everyone had dirty feet within 5 minutes of walking around the house. The kitchen lacked some basic essentials: dish towels, ample paper towels, sponges, and dishwasher detergent. It's a shame because the house is great for four families. But don't be misled by the description, it's 3.5 baths, not 4! There's a powder room so the 4th family will have to share a shower with another family.
