If not, a $25 fee will be charged. There is NO MICROWAVE in the Cottage, (if you are still using one at home, you may be interested to read the Hans Hertel Study) You may bring your own, though. There is a 1+ mile hiking trail that starts just on the other side of the split-rail fence opening to the left of the barns (as viewed from the Cottage). If you proceed down the hill on the far side of that fence, a trail will open up at the bottom and lead you around the outskirts of the property. This cottage is in a great location. There's plenty to see nearby. The cottage has plenty of anything you might need. You can have your privacy. However I can say our host Cliff was the nicest guy in NE GA. He gave us suggestions on fun things to do. And when our battery wouldn't turn over, he got us on our way home. So grateful.

This property was casual and relaxing. We were in town for a wedding. It was close to the wedding, and the adorable downtown was convenient. There's a great coffee shop not far. It is an older home with updated flooring and furniture. It is comfortable and feels like when you visit grandparents in the country. We felt safe and enjoyed the walk to the lake. The kitchen was well stocked and we also enjoyed building a fire in the fire pit.

Wonderful stay
We loved our stay at Palm Lake. The location was close to town and shopping. The house was great and fit our needs. My son enjoyed hanging by the lake fishing and paddle boarding with my husband. We enjoyed walking the property with our 14 year old spaniel. I will definitely book this cottage again!

Perfect Cottage
We picked Palmlake Cottage because it was very close to our son and it was pet friendly, also access to a lake.
Well it definitely surpassed our expectations, everything you would ever need was provided and the cottage itself was meticulously clean. Cliff was always available if you needed him for anything. The lake was a short walk from the cottage and our son caught the biggest large mouth bass he has ever caught! We had a wonderful trip and will definitely visit again.
Thank you

Peaceful
Overall, our visit was peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is roomy and has everything you could need. I didn't read the listing very well because I thought we would be closer to the lake.
The only downside was the fenced yard because its not maintained and or kept tidy. There are lots of mushrooms growing and has an old dirty doghouse. Looks abandoned.
