Neighbors FINISHED their house Construction(Now it's Quite Again)!! Newly built in 2018 this house presents unique experience with its spacious rooms and commanding location looking out to the ocean in distance. You will need 4x4 drive vehicle to go 8 km off main Hwy 34 up to the hills. Overall distance to Uvita is 35 km with another 20 km to Dominical. There are many beautiful beaches around and the house is in very secluded area. Property manager also speaks ENG

Huge house, 2 bedrooms but master suite is huge. It’s about 30 minutes from ojochal but it was fine. Cuidad Cortes was worth visiting, a small town directly below the home (3 miles), we stopped at a small house type place and had a pizza. It was great and only 6000 colones

Very Misleading Ad with Health and Safety Concerns

Facts summarized in order of discovery: The day before check-in, owner advised the gate on the private road closes from 6pm to 5am. Road to house is 5K not 3K and is extremely rugged. Pics showing property are misleading, false and not current. There is no view of ocean in the distance. Directly across from property are several shacks with workers, construction material and waste. Workers urinated at will in front of shacks and in full view of the home. Immediately beside the home another is being built, 5 meters from this one. There is no seclusion as stated in listing. Owner does not have a property manager or apparently a cleaning service. Owner advised MANY times during the walk through to keep the doors and windows locked. Food remnants throughout kitchen and fridge. It's not a 2 BR, it's a 1 BR with a loft. Loft has no privacy. House IS NOT air conditioned and it was extremely hot. The BR and the loft have very small portable AC units rigged to the windows with duct tape. Could not leave windows open due to repeated statement from owner to keep doors and windows locked. Owner's clothes, tools, and equipment present throughout home. Owner advised not to flush toilet paper down toilet due to septic limitations. No soap, toiletries or wash cloths provided. Some of the towels provided were dirty. I stayed up the entire night without sleep to keep watch due to the security concerns. At 5:30 AM, workers began using power tools for the home under construction. Sheer curtains in bedroom allowed workers on roof of house being built to see right into the bedroom. Booked the house for 5 nights. Left after the first night, once the gate was opened. Left key and advised owner. Now seeking full refund.
