"We were charmed by the hotel and its ebullient owner. Bill never tired of offering help and advise about things to do and where to go in the tiny hamlet of Churchill. Great artwork on the exterior and hall. Yes, the hotel is very rustic and dated. No tv, poor internet signal, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel suited its environment in a very rustic outpost town. The location is VERY convenient to the train station (1 block) and the town. Sadly we went at the wrong time of summer and didn't see a single live bear, beluga whale or even the northern lights, but Bill made sure we got to see everything else there was to see and the best places to eat and shop."
