Located on the Southernmost Point of Chokoloskee Island with immediate access to the 10,000 Islands and the Everglades National Park. Private Beach for launching your boat and catching bait, fish cleaning table & snook light on the dock. Fish all night and enjoy your coffee with a beautiful view from the front porch in the morning. Watch the dolphins swimming by and the Osprey fishing for their dinner. You will have viewing opportunities from sunrise to sunset and beyond into the night with little to no light pollution enjoy the moon and the stars while you sit around the fire pit and listen to all the noises Mother Nature and the wildlife have to offer. The sound of the tides coming and going are very relaxing with the bait jumping and splashing on the beach. Plenty of parking for vehicles, boats and trailers. Fully stocked kitchen, flat screen smart televisions in living and master bedroom. Queen sized beds in bedrooms and a queen leather sleeper in living room. Central A/C with ceiling fan in bedrooms, Charcoal BarBQ Grill and lots of room for parking. Had a great time in Chokoloskee, exploring the area by boat. We had our own small boat, and we launched it and kept it at the dock while staying at this beautiful home on the water. We had some great fishing, even though unfamiliar with that part of the water in Florida. It does get shallow, so smaller boats are best here. The home was very clean and comfortable, and the host is very friendly and accommodating. The property outside was wonderful too. Great waterfront views all around and a really nice fireplace by the water. The sky is full of stars at night, and I love hearing and seeing all the wildlife. A gem of a place. We officially love chokoloskee and the islands. We even got engaged while watching the sunset one of our nights here on an island not too far from the property. We could take our boat anywhere anytime. Definitely will be back, this is our special spot in our home state of Florida!

A fisherman’s paradise. Proximity to the water was beyond perfect. The locals were so nice and would stop and chat and help with some fishing tips. Other activities aren’t a terrible drive if you want to get out of the Everglades for the day either. We literally had dolphins swim up to the dock! Host was so nice and informative as well. House was very charming and had everything we needed. Would love to book again!!

This charming cottage was not only a memory maker for us and our two teen grandsons, it reminded us of our childhood days gone by. The boys caught mangrove snapper, catfish and snook from the bank. The view is great, the hot water endless and the beds were comfortable. The hostess was friendly and ready to assist as needed.

I really liked this spot. Perfect views of the bay, sunrise and sunsets. Very relaxing. Being able to dock my boat 25 steps from the backdoor was awesome. Great location!

We enjoyed our stay- the house was very clean and had a nice big kitchen with lots of supplies for cooking and food storage. We don't fish but it would be perfect for fishermen or someone with a boat because of the boat ramp. We used it as a base for exploring the nearby parks and went on a couple of tours in the area. Enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch and watching the water, what a view! I was thrilled we saw dolphins twice but we had an even better dolphin experience during our boat tour with Cory at Smallwood General Store. Bring drinking water and bug spray!

10,000 Islands Weekend Getaway

These old Tampa kids had a wonderful 4 day weekend at Lynn's Chokoloskee home. It was the perfect home base to explore the 10,000 Islands and Everglades. Lynn's husband Gary was so kind to help us establish a gps track to safely navigate our way through the mangrove islands and oyster bars to some nice fishing spots. Fishing was spotty inshore (poor weather) but fun none the less. Fishing right off the seawall behind the house we landed a slot snook and a baby goliath grouper!! Sunsets and sunrises from the back porch, who could ask for more?! It was a real pleasure and insight to speak with Lynn and Gary and some of the rest of their family about the town and their family's history in Chokoloskee. Thanks again Lynn, we will be back!!
