Beautiful grounds with incredible rooms. There are several rooms in the hacienda itself as well as several small villas. The rooms in the hacienda are beautifully decorated and very clean; the only problem is that the WiFi in the hacienda is limited. The villas are wonderful as well, with a small living area, 2 bedrooms, and 2 baths. The grounds are beautiful but could use some more maintenance. The staff is nice and very helpful as well.

Really beautiful Hacienda. Be sure to get the property tour and listen to the tragic love story of Leonel and Berengela The staff is wonderful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. We used the hotel as our base for three days of exploring northern Yucatan. There are cenotes nearby and the magnificent ruins of Chichen Itza. You can visit the town of Vallodolid at night where there are very good restaurants.

Off the beaten trail. Quaint Hacienda with friendly staff. Lovely property with unique buildings and well landscaped. Clean. Thrilled with our stay. Good value for your money. Fun to explore. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was an amazing place to stay at, just the top and so beautiful.i felt like at home especially because Dagoberto was everywhere to make sure I'm satisfied. Lovely dinner, full breakfast - couldn't eat it all. If you're ever considering on staying in Valladolid, then wonder no more - this is the place to be!

The Hacienda has beautiful castle, furniture, pool and gardens. Also their staffs are awesome. They took care of us as their family. I practiced little Mayan language and it was fun. We really thankful for the front desk manager, Mr. A. He speaks English and he gave us a tremendous support when we were in trouble. We really enjoyed staying at this place.

We stayed in the little separate suites that are located on the grounds. Each was completely self-contained and would be great for a family reunion or wedding party get away. The rooms were nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable. We took tours to the different sights around the region every day and found it very convenient for that. When we wanted to go into Valladolid for dinner a taxi was necessary but inexpensive. Our suites were handicapped accessible and the nights were very quiet, with just some roosters crowing in the morning. It was a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique hotel. Huge properly, very good food, and had the pleasure of having Eduardo as our host. He gave us the interesting story of the property, and made us feel super welcome.

We stayed here in January 2017 for two nights during a recent trip to Valladolid and Merida. The good: The grounds are gorgeous and well kept and the main building (castle) is architecturally interesting. The bad: - Our room in the basement of the castle was large but poorly decorated: it was missing hangers in the wardrobe, a chair, cups in the bathroom, nightstands with table lamps, wall hangings, etc. Also we reserved a room with two full beds and were given one with one queen. - The hotel management had no record of our reservation when we arrived despite our reservation via Expedia and our call to the reception before arrival confirming our stay - Breakfast was included but inconsistent: one day we were given brewed coffee (a bit cold) and allowed to order from the menu, the next day the dinning room opened an hour late, it was still dirty from the night before and there was no coffee (we were offered decaf instant instead) and just offered cold toast and eggs. Service was very slow. - The service in general was poor. The staff was apologetic when we complained about the above but did nothing to improve the service aside from offer us a free meal the last night and add a bed and table and chairs to our room. As the most expensive hotel in Valladolid at $250+ a night we expected much better service and professionalism.

It is in a beautiful surrounding but it is a little strange. It has so much potential but just does not meet expectations. For starters, I thought we were staying in the castle. Instead we were put in 2 small suites away from castle that were poorly decorated. The breakfast was coffee and cold toast... no juice or water or tea. We ended up spending very little time there and even with 3 kids, they did not want to swim. The gardens are gorgeous and castle is too... you need to make sure you are staying in castle otherwise you miss the entire experience. It is also 10 min from town so make sure you have a car!

I've always dreamed of spending a night at a castle, and now I had my dreams come true. We booked two nights in one of the bungalows, and surprisingly got upgraded to a suite in the main building with an antique canopy bed! The castle was built in late sixteenth century by one of the founders of Valladolid, and is surrounded by a huge park, with sculptures, gardens, two swimming pools and a chapel. The last time I've been in places like this, I wasn't allowed even to touch anything! Staying there was a truly unique and unforgettable experience.
