One word...Dirty. My husband and I checked out 3 hours after checking in. We couldn’t imagine spending the night. The bed was not changed from previous guests. The room smelled terribly like grease and the chairs in the room had old food and dirt on them. The bathroom had a dirty towel behind the door!

Good hotel. Room did not smell that good . Room smelled old

Love the fact its clean and comfy. Affordable prices . Very nice .

Didn’t feel totally safe in lot or lobby, once we were in room it was not well cleaned. We found hairs throughout the bedding and all over bathroom (yuck). Pillows and bed are hard, room has a funny smell. Overall just not what I expected and would have done a different hotel if I could do over.

I don't even know where to start. I first was given a room that the key didn't work. When they reprogrammed the key a hauled all my luggage back to the room and the door opened, only to be shocked by a couple having sex on the bed. Yikes!! I stay in quite a few hotels and this was a first. They supposedly upgraded me to a king suite to make up for my burning eyes. When I went to the new "upgraded" room the only difference was a king bed. I was the only one staying in the room so that didn't do me any good. The room was fairly clean. Nothing crazy dirty. My main complaint is that there wasn't anything in the room to use. No coffee pot, dishes and not even a plastic cup to drink out of. I typically stay at the Candlewood suites in Libertyville and they supply EVERYTHING and it is the same price. Unfortunately they were booked up and was willing to drive a little extra for (assumed) same accommodations. Guess I didn't read the fine print.

Nice hotel close to Great America. Walking distance to Hooters, Olive Garden and a few other places to eat. Hotel wasn't the cleanest but the bed was comfortable to sleep in.

Great people, good location, big room, quiet, close to shopping mall and restaurants.

I'm a heavy traveler and my Company has a choice to stay at any 4-5 star hotel. Extended Stay, (Especially Gurnee) is always my 1st pick. Some of the BEST people in Hotel Hospitality work at THIS location. Going over and beyond to make you comfortable. Though I've seen some Hotel Guests, being obnoxious and very rude to the staff, situations' always handled with professionalism. Hotel Manager (Kathy) absolutely the best!!! The front desk staff always on point and the even the housekeeping, super friendly!! I've never had such a "FAMILY" feeling from any other hotel Brand. Keep up the GREAT WORK guys. Always 5-stars from me. Your supportive guest: SD

My stay was okay, not excellent but it wasn't bad. My fiancé really wanted to go for a swim but the hotel did not have a pool and the breakfast to go wasn't really a breakfast to go it was Apple, orange and coffee. But the room was nice my favorite is that it's a studio so a full kitchen is in the room. The stay wasn't bad at all. Eventhough we had to change our rooms twice, plumbing problems. But the staff was really nice.

Very welcoming staff. And very clean and spacious rooms. Very close to food and malls. Restaurants within walking distance. Very nice area. And plan to stay again

Very clean efficient hotel - staff very helpful and friendly

The room setup was vary impressive. The room was clean but issues with toliet. The staff seemed unfriendly and not kid friendly atmosphere! Disappointed that there was no pool or workout! Also, it needs more cable channels.

For being my first hotel on my own, I felt very comfortable. The staff were some of most friendly people i have ever met and really easy to talk to. I was set up fast and efficiently in a nice room. For what I paid I got a lot in return. Just about any amenity I could need, complimentary breakfast, amazing staff, and a very comfortable room. Extended Stay America easily became my go to place when I'm out of town.

The location, comfort, and value keep bringing me back to this place (4 times so far?). It's not fancy or luxurious. But they handle the essentials well -- clean, nice bed and TV. Good enough internet. Simple grab-and-go breakfast. Why pay a lot more for just a little more features? My only quibble: Nicer bath towels please. But I'll be back (with my own towel).

It was close and cheap. It was obviously a smoking room even though I asked for non-smoking. Nice service people.

It was good. Overall I liked the cleanliness of the room and it was very a very convenient location for my business. The biggest downer was the matress was stained on one side fairly bad. Get rid of that matress it's not comforting at all. I alway got a smile from the staff, they were very nice.

The room was large and spacious for the lowest cost at the hotel. the in room amenities are nice, full size fridge, stove, full set of dishware and cutlery. Had a nice large kitchen bar for dining and work. TV channels were a little sparce but didn't watch that much anyways. Location is within reasonable walking distance of both Gurnee Mills Mall and Six Flags Great America.

This ESA-Gurnee needs work. When trying to unlock the room door, it took many attempts. It appeared the door lock may have been tampered with in the past. Upon flushing the toilet, it was obvious it was plugged. When contacting the desk, I was told all maintenance staff were gone and she would give me a plunger and I could unplug it. After returning from dinner, I was happy to find that the problem had been fixed by someone else. The tv worked very poorly and when contacting the desk I was told that it takes a while for the tv to work. Thus, no tv to watch. This is a great location for Great America and the mall. The AC worked well.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the cleanliness issue you both encountered in your room and regret it compromised your stay. Our housekeeping staff takes pride in what they do daily and we also have processes in place to double-check each room prior to occupancy by the next guest. We fell short in our processes and are reviewing them so that this does not happen again. We only wish we would have known about this problem as we would have done our best to ensure you are comfortable. Please consider a future stay as we would welcome the opportunity to regain your trust. Sincerely, Hotel Management
