This was my 2nd visit to Chaing Mai and my 1st time staying at the Dusit D2 It's a great location and a very clean hotel, the staff are friendly however a little slower than a busy businessman wants, checkout was a 25 minute wait for a company tax invoice. So my suggestion is pre arrange your check out in advance whilst you sit at the bar checking in. Apart from that the stay was great and the room I had was more than expected.
The rooms were pleasant and very clean. very friendly Concierges who took the trouble to hail the red taxis from us. Very near massages and street markets, although the street markets wasn't very much interesting, but a lot of eateries around. Love this hotel. The breakfast was quite good. However, we wanted to find out about some tours and the reception directed us to 7th floor for travel package tours. The lady in charge was totally uninterested to help us , least to say, to suggest and was quite impatient with us. I mean we had to go through the tours to choose the best option, so i guess her patient left her. She kept doing her own stuff and giving us one word answer when we ask her questions. We were tourist, i think we need someone like her to introduce her country and tours for us isnt it? Anyway, we walked away and found private tours at a shophouse just right outside the hotel. They were so friendly and patient with us and suggested a few places to us. We took the tours for 2 days with them and even booked taxis with them. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and lovely. Will check into this hotel again my next trip in Chiangmai.
We stayed here for our two night stay in Chiang Mai. After an 18 hour trip from the UK this hotel was perfect. They collected us from the airport as booked and checked us in straight away when we arrived. We had dinner at the hotel too because we were just too tired to head off exploring and the food was lovely and to be honest very reasonably priced considering it's a hotel restaurant. We had a great night sleep!! Literally 13 hours straight and woke up feeling like brand new people. The gym and pool where also lovely. They even booked us an excursion to the Lanna elephant sanctuary even though that wasn't on their tour list. I showed the lady working on the 7th floor where we wanted to go and she called them for us and organised the whole thing. She didn't try and change our minds and persuade us to one of the hotels tours which I really appreciated as I partially wanted to go to the lanna sanctuary as it was the ethical one to go to. We were well looked after our entire stay. Thank you dustitD2
Pleasant stay in Chiangmai , rooms are great and the rates very reasonable. Enjoyed the stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities are good. Very nice gym area. Transport from hotel easy and smooth.
We booked this hotel for our Chiang Mai trip knowing that we would not be in the hotel often as we planned to venture out for the Thai new year and other adventures. Consider it was a lower price hotel, it was surprisingly clean and the workers were super friendly. We picked this hotel because it is on a main road and 1 block from the busy night bazaar and restaurants. Due to a rainy night, we stay in and ate at the hotel's restaurant and the food was pretty darn good (they also have live music). The wifi was incredibly fast too, lol. The only drawback is the very small elevator.
Beautiful, clean and wonderful hotel! I would highly recommend it to anyone! The hotel is in a perfect location in Chiang Mai right by the night markets. The room was extremely clean and modern looking. I have nothing but great things to say about our stay here.
We were very pleased at our three days stay in two rooms. We would have no hesitation in recommending this excellent hotel. Thanks to all the staff from the room maids to cooks to doorman to reception staff especially Ginger as she helped me to find a local dental clinic as I needed urgent treatment. It's location is excellent for night bazaars and eatin places and it's only ten minutes walking distance to old town. Breakfast was full of choice and it was the only one out of three hotels that we stayed in Thailand that offered roasted cashew nuts at breakfast. Perhaps it could offer fruit as well. It's worth offering ' free' tuck tuck to old town.
The Dusit D2 is a great property in Chiang Mai. The rooms are decent and the food is quite good and their meeting rooms are also very good. The staff is extremely helpful and work hard to take good care of their guests. The hotel is in the heart of the night market, but set back behind another building which helps to keep the noise level down. The price is very reasonable and I'll definitely return to this property.
Me and my friends stayed at this hotel during Songkran, and we really liked it. Mainly because of it's location and 5 star feel. The night bazaar is just outside the hotel's front door. Rooms were big and spacious. Service was also great. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but it had a lot of food choices. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Excellent hotel, the sfaff is very nice and helpfull, we spent almost a week in this hotel and have a nice time The location is very good as well, we recommande this hotel if someone plan to visite Chiang Mai.
