Family trip Chiang Mai

We are family of 4 and stayed here for 4 nights however we were placed in this 1 bedroom with addition of 2 thin single beds were squeezed into this room that made us hardly able to move around, it should only designed for 2 people max. Apart from that, great apartment that offers pool, spa, sauna, gym and close to many good restaurants.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo. There were a few cosmetic issues but all in all a great place. My one recommendation, if you are doing any tours where they pick you up at the hotel, ask them to pick you up at the Astra Condo lobby on Changklan Road. Google maps the HOC5 about a block away on a back street. We will likely stay here next time we are in Chiang Mai.

Nice stay.

Enjoyed my stay very much. Very quiet at night and nice king size bed. The bathroom has a smell to it from the drainage line I think . Other than that very nice place.

Great for short stays

We had a great stay. The check in was easy, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was equiped. The laundry machine was a big plus, there was also a rack on the balcony to dry the cloths on. The gym was good, there was plenty of stations. Not so many sun beds on the roof.

주변에 식당, 마사지 샵,야시장등이 있어 편하게 여행을 즐길 수 있다. 룸상태도 좋고 청결하다. 하지만 매일 청소를 할수 없다는게 조금 아쉽다. 룸 청소 비용도 비싸다.

Cosy home but cleaniness needs to be improved

This apartment is located next to Shangri-La Hotel, which gives us a sense of security somehow. It is near the night bazaar. Overall speaking, the home’s condition was satisfactory. Bed was clean but the floor and carpets were a bit dusty, especially the carpets, which made me feel a bit uneasy to put my feet on. Tenants need to prepare their own toiletaries, e.g. toothbrush and toothpaste. Besides, even it said there is a gym and swimming pool for use. We couldn’t access to those during our stay using the key card provided. That was quite disappointing.

Shangri La convenience at half the price

Ample living space in a suite with kitchen facilities. The room is huge but sparsely furnished so it feels a bit unwelcoming compared to a traditional hotel room. The rooms are also let out separately and at a much cheaper rate. I was able to book an extra night at half the price but you need to pay in cash. Great value for any conferences at the Shangri La which is immediately next door. The neighbouring area is convenient for the night markets and other 5 star hotels.

適合渡假的apartment hotel

其實是一間apartment, 一定要下午二時才可以check in, 晚間除了保安員服務外就沒有接待人員值班，我們住了三個晚上都沒有人清潔房間及垃圾。泳池及健身室也可以，保安很好，有房卡才可以開走廊門。近夜市及附近很多按摩店舖。酒店門口並沒有HOC5 apartment hotel的標示，它就在香格里拉酒店隔壁，所以很容易找到。

地點方便，步行一分鐘內有7-11同食肆，行去Big c market 都只是5分鐘。去night market 都是10分鐘。房間整潔，設計時尚，天台泳池非常美麗，如果再到清邁，一定再住Hoc 5。只是check in 時一定要聯絡到屋主，我是用WhatsApp 聯絡他，每次他都會覆我的。

Small nice apartment, near night market

Nice place, but small for 4 (double bed plus 2 single mattresses either side of it on floor) in bedroom, small lounge/kitchen area, loo, shower/bath room. Check in process not entirely clear on expedia - basically the number listed is a mobile of the person who owns it. When you arrive call or whatsapp the number and you will be sent instructions of how to pick up key card from a coded safe box in the lobby. Only take the ine with your room number (we got that wrong!) Not sure why it says contact at least 48h prior as you only get this code at the last minute. Maybe just to check you have the correct contact details. Location fine - far side of night market. Near the fab Art in Paradise 3D gallery which my kids loved (8, 9y old). Bit of a walk to Old Town but plenty of taxi /tuk tuk around. Ann in tour guide office over the road very good for booking stuff, not pushy. Pool on roof great for cooling off. A/C gym up there as well. Washing machine in apartment a bonus. Balcony to dry stuff.

Located right next to Shangri-La Chiangmai, and a short 8 mins walk away from the night market. There is also a very good beef noodle shop right across the road. Gripe: smell coming out of toilet, no international tv channels and foam soap in both toilets and bathroom.

Leider kannte niemand mit der Beschreibung von Expedia das Hotel. Der eigentliche Name ist The Astra. Drei verschiedene Tuk Tuk Fahrer kannten das Hotel mit HOC 5 nicht !!

I would consider staying here again

Be aware that this is an Airbnb where you don't deal directly with the unit owner, but the building management where English is limited. Overall we were happy with the place and the location. It was close to a night market and a 15 minute walk to the main walls of Chiang Mai. Only complaint would be lack of towels (two thin towels), no hand soap and washing machine detergent. It was a plus to have a washing machine though. Overall, I would consider staying here again.

Good quality appartments, but very unorganised- we had to wait for about 1.5 hrs to get into our room after a 21hr flight. There is no reception for checking in, it was done by security.

I had the beat time ever! The only thing I didn’t like was the narrow hall. My reservation was reserved for 4 and the sleeping accommodations was for 4 but it was right. Better for 2. The other thing I did not like was the front desk hours. The room is more of a rental apt versus a hotel room. It was very clean and in the perfect location. I would come back. Oh yeah there is not a phone in the room.

Bra lägenhetsboende i närheten av night market

Familj med ett barn på 12 månader. Bra service, gated community, hissar, ingen spjälsäng men med bra lösning med skön madrass på golvet. Härligt med eget kök, dock hade det varit toppen om det funnits tex diskmedel, salt/peppar, tvättmedel mm. Uppsättning för 2 personer i köket, men funkade för oss eftersom vår ettåring kunde äta ur tex skål. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Poolen på taket var fantastisk, dock saltvatten. Gymmet var i bra storlek!
