Delightful experience and rich with antiques and history. Quiet and staff personable and attentive. Great served breakfast.
This place is excellent. It's been wonderfully restored to original condition. Sit down with Jim and the staff and discuss all the history associated with the mansion. Already talking about our next trip to Cheyenne.
I was so excited to stay here! I booked this Bed and Breakfast almost a year in advance and we were really looking forward to our stay here. The location is perfect, and within walking distance of a lot of Cheyenne attractions and restaurants. The mansion itself is unique and beautiful. After calling directly to the hotel several days in advance I spoke to the owner, Jim, to confirm our reservation. He informed me of our booked nights, and that everything checked out. Our family purchased other event tickets to coincide with our visit and we were set for our visit to Cheyenne. After driving from out of state we got to Nagle Warren Mansion and it was everything I thought it would be. The outside was lovely and location perfect. Once inside, we waited for a long time to get checked in, only to be told that our reservation had been cancelled as our rate we booked was too low and the owner "needed to make a living." The owner denied confirming my reservations and talking to me previously, and told me he had cancelled my reservations directly after I had made them. The travel site I used to book had received no communication from the hotel about the issue, and the owner was unwilling to try and work something out. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism and common courtesy. If the owner was upset about the rate that I booked, it would have been nice to know when I called several days in advance, so we could have made other plans instead of having to go home majorly disappointed.
My niece was visiting from North Carolina and had never been out west before..I used to live in Cheyenne, and was familiar with the hotel, but had not actually been inside it before. I decided to give her a treat for her last night in Wyoming by staying at the Nagle Mansion, and it was worth every single cent. The minute we walked through the front door, a peace and calm descended on us. Jim, the owner, is an incredibly kind and knowledgeable man, and he gave us a tour of the property. The rooms are exquisite. The music room, parlor, library, pantry, tower, staircase, snuggery, workout room, garden and garden hot tub are open any time for you to explore, and explore we did, after dinner. Our room, was stunning, quiet and very comfortable, with a hand sewn quilt on the bed, and feather pillows. The room was filled with antiques that added to the charm. Everything you could possibly need for the bath is available, and the bathroom itself is beautiful. Breakfast the next morning in the beautiful dining room consisted of blueberries and cream, quiche, bacon, homemade bread, and fresh squeezed orange juice. I cannot express enough how wonderful this place is. I highly recommend booking a room in this beautiful and historic place. I will be back again.
We stayed at the Nagle Warren Mansion, which is a bed and breadfast. This stay was to celebrate our wedding anniversary and every detail was excellent to make it very memorable! Reading in the tower, veiwing all of the great antique furnishings and artwork, reading and embroidering in the sitting room while enjoying a cup of tea and cookies, a relaxing dip in the hot tub, and breakfast was outstanding. GREAT place to stay!! We'll be back.
Great stay. Hotel was comfortable and elegant at the same time. They accommodated our pets with a special doggie bag and provided good information on a local restaurant and art studio (which we took advantage of both)
Stayed here because I enjoy spending time in the historical parts of towns and cities, and enjoy B&Bs as opposed to large hotels. The rooms were beautiful, and furnished with antiques. There's a comfortable lounge. You are able to use the kitchen to make tea late at night. Wine tastings in the afternoon. The morning breakfast was very good. The staff was particularly annoying, in that they weren't very welcoming or friendly. When asked about a multi-course dinner with wine pairings they do, I was referred to a brochure in the rack. It was almost a thanks-for-your-money-and-we don't-care-if-you-come-back. If you don't need a particularly warm welcome, I'd recommend the mansion. The room we stayed in was huge, with a king bed, high ceilings, bathroom with a pocket door about 8 feet wide and 3 inches thick, stained glass windows and more.
