Surprise birthday trip for my husband

My husband myself and our 2 fur babies loved this property. Very pet friendly.Loved the fenced in yard and back porch. The cabin had everything we needed. The property was beautiful. The creek was amazing. The cabin was clean, comfortable and so welcoming. It was very private and peaceful but an easy commute if you wanted to go into town.

Clean and cozy!

I was a little worried about the two-star review below mine which appeared just before our scheduled stay. The cabin is situated in a nice area with nearby rentals. There is a brief stretch of gravel road leading up to the cabin where one two-story house definitely gives off "The Hills Have Eyes" vibes but I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. In fact, we encountered many friendly locals. The cabin is about 15-20 from the nearest convenience store so I recommend making a grocery run before checking in so you have everything you need and can get settled right away. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pants and utensils but no pantry items. The property is PERFECT for dog owners. The cabin came with clean dog blankets and even a dog bowl for inside and outside. Very thoughtful touches for dog owners.

Did not like it, will not go back.

The cabin is in a sketchy/poor/messy area that you have to go through to get to the cabin. Strongly recommend arriving during day time, as the roads to get there get skinnier and skinnier, with a 45-degree inclination. The main door entrance and foyer is the laundry room. The cleaning crew picks up anything left by the other guests, and Vacasa does not provide anything other than toilet paper, paper towels, and towels. This means you must bring or buy everything, including coffee and sugar. Make your groceries before you start the 15-minute ascension to the cabin. It is also very small, with no room for four people to sit at a table, and very dark. There are TVs, but you must enter (and delete) your account if you want to watch Netflix or Prime Video. When it rains, the drops make a lot of noise on the roof. When it stopped raining, the drops from the trees made an even louder noise, and my daughter asked me if the noise was gunshots. When you walk on the second floor, the whole floor vibrates from the steps and if you are in bed trying to sleep, you will awaken. Check-in is at 4:00 pm, and check-out is at 10:00 am. If you want a "late" check out until 1:00 pm, you can do so for an extra fee. The place was squicky clean, and this is coming from my wife, who is a pain in the neck about that. It has good internet, but you must be connected to Wi-Fi and enable Wi-Fi calling to use your phone. There is little to no reception from T-Mobil near and at the cabin.

Fabulous Weekend Getaway!!!

We were very impressed with this cabin. The cabin was immaculate! It's the cleanest cabin we've ever stayed in! We loved that it was so pet friendly. There was a lot of little unexpected extras. A lot of thought was put into their guest's needs. It had such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The creek could not have been more perfect. My favorite spot was the swing. However, I was afraid to swing in it, because one of the trees that it is attached to is dead. I was afraid it might fall. Paws Awhile has become our new favorite cabin to visit. We can't wait to visit again!
