The remote for the television did not work. Mold on inside of shower curtain. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6:30. Had to wake up desk person about breakfast and breakfast wasn’t served until after 7:15, so, we missed breakfast. Certainly, not an ideal stay.

From the reviews I was honestly expecting better. There was a mechanical issue with the heat- the room was cold and no matter how high I adjusted the heat the room stayed the same temperature. When we flushed the toilet the water took a while to work for the sink and shower. One time the water didn’t work for at least 15 minutes after the toilet was flushed. Also, the bathroom light flickered like a strobe light, so we couldn’t use it. Positives: The breakfast and friendly staff

We stay at this property often. We go to Charleston to visit my daughter, grandchildren and son-in-law. We always stay here. The people that work here are amazing. They have a new manager who is super nice! This particular visit we had a family emergency. She was so accommodating and nice.. We always enjoy our stay here.

To begin with, they would not accommodate my service dog. Agent argued with me and asked to show documentation at check in then charged me $50 “Pet” fee. I have stayed at multiple hotels as I frequently travel for work and have never had any issues prior to this property. Staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. We also did not have a choice of a prior requested 1st floor room that was previously requested because of my disability and so I was forced to painfully climb the stairs to the top floor and after walking through the absolutely disgusting hallway to my so called “Room” upon entry walked into a dirty room that had stained towels, dirty floor, dirty bathroom, etc. Thankfully I had brought my own towels to use during my stay. Office manager admitted the hotel towels were “stained” but clean but clearly if hotel towels are stained, they are most definitely not clean a she said they were. Their continental breakfast was the worst I have ever seen. They combine the most disgusting egg looking substance with sausage in a dirty crock pot along with other breakfast offerings I would not even feed my dog. On a positive note….they have a nice looking marsh with a deck and outdoor seating. There is also 2 filthy charcoal grills for guests to utilize.
