Welcome to Chateau Relaxo! This 1890's farmhouse is the perfect spot for family reunions, wedding parties, guys/gals weekend or a large retreat.
The farmhouse has 6 bedrooms, 6 1/2 bath and sleeps 20 (6 king bedrooms, 1 queen, 2 twin beds, 2 daybeds with trundle twins).

If additional space is needed we have a barndominium with 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bath that sleeps 7 (2 king, 1 queen, 1 twin) for an additional fee.
If interested in renting the barndominium please contact through email before booking.

The farmhouse includes luxury sheets/bedding, towels, a full kitchen perfect for home cooked meals, multiple coffee makers with coffee, AC/Heat, soaking tub in two of the bedrooms, a full bathroom for all six king bed master suites, half bath off the kitchen, free WIFI, Direct TV, board games, ping pong table in the garage, toys for babies/small children upon request, washer/dryer, ironing board with iron and a hair dryer.

-The dining room offers three different tables that seat a total of 24 for the many gatherings to come.
-There are 3 fridges total (house, garage and pool house) for those who like to plan their meals ahead to bring.
-There are 2 stoves in the farmhouse kitchen and an additional stove in the pool house for your large gatherings
- Large Weber gas grill for outside grilling and a Komodo Joe grill (must provide your own lump charcoal for this grill)
- Large fire pit outside to sit around with family and friends or make smores (must provide your own wood)
-The pool house has a full kitchen and full bathroom. Enjoy the pool and hot tub and gaze at the stars with a night swim or relax on the back porch of the pool house.
-The gazebo seats 8 comfortably with outdoor lighting for a tranquil setting to enjoy morning coffee or drinks with friends during the incredible sunsets.
Watching for deer or hogs down by the creek is a common sighting. Please note that this is the country and there are critters like armadillos, raccoons, coyotes, rabbits, hogs, snakes and others that you may hear or see around the property. If you choose to venture out on the back of the property you do so at your own risk.
Enjoy the country setting just don't leave food outside overnight for them to enjoy when you head off to bed.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 6.5 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 6 bedrooms and a dining area. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washer/dryer, and a fireplace.

This is the second year in a row for our group to stay here. As if the property was not already wonderful, improvements have been made since our visit last year. This year we also booked the barn and it was very nice. Host is responsive and helpful & the property is amazing.

The most amazing property for a getaway. This is our third year, coming to the same property for a couple trip. We can’t wait to be back next January. Host are always super responsive if we ever need anything. Home is clean, beds are comfy and the property is beautiful.

This house was overwhelmingly the best we’ve stayed at for this family tradition. It was very spacious with nice bedrooms and bathrooms for all of the family. There was plenty of space for everyone. We had little ones and they enjoyed running around the house. The host were outstanding and responded in a timely manner to any of my questions or needs. Brenda left toys out for the kids, which was a delight as they entered the living room and saw the toys. The garage also had toys for the children and yard games and there were numerous games inside as well which our family also enjoyed. The grounds and the house itself made such a great impression and then there wasthe pool house which was amazing with all the things you needed for the pool the hot tub was clean and functioned well and we even enjoyed the pool when it was fairly warm outside. The views across the land in the back were wonderful. We did see deer on thr last night as Lyle had suggested they had seen earlier in the month! When we had one thing needing their attention, Lyle came out and right away had it fixed! The house is older and definitely has the feel of a farmhouse in some areas and it’s one of the things we really liked about the place wood floors throughout carpets only in the bedrooms which again were all so comfortably appointed, we felt at home during our stay and just as lyle suggested, we did make wonderful family memories being together! I can’t say enough good things about this house and the hosts,

Stayed in Chappel Hill for my son’s wedding. House was perfect for multiple families. Everyone had their own space, not once did we feel on top of each other. Hot tub, pool, and pool house were hits with the kids 8/10yo.

Paradise In the Country

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. We had a large groups of family staying with us for our daughter’s wedding in Brenham & there was PLENTY of room for everyone. The pool & pool house were amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. There was also a barn on the property if you’re hosting an event there.

We loved this peaceful, quiet old home. I would love to know the history of this home and could be a nice addition to leave in the home for the visitors. Although we had no kids on this trip, it has plenty of room and can accommodate large families with kids. Everyone had their own private bathroom. The pool and hot tub is surrounded by fields of wild flowers. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. Two washers and dryers and Two refrigerators. Has an iron and clothes steamer which was handy for the wedding we attended. The only thing we needed and missed was a tea kettle as we are a family that drinks hot tea, but we just boiled water in a pot on the stove. If we ever came back to Texas we would stay here again with a large family. Thank you for sharing your home.

Our family reunion here was wonderful . This exceptionally clean, spacious home was large enough for 6 couples- each with their own bedroom, bathroom! The kitchen hosted our cooking and gab sessions as we made wonderful meals to share, also plenty of dining space for all of us to eat meals together! The resort-like pool was incredible, and we spent hours poolside on a hot Texas summer day. The pool house offered space to have a snack or cooldown, shower off, and change before going back to the house. The evening outside with a bonfire was the perfect place to share old memories and toast to our family. The hosts were wonderful; Brenda was quick to respond to our questions! Perfect stay here, I can’t imagine how it could have been better!!

Fabulous weekend

Wonderful home for our group of 13 adults! Clean, great communication from the host! One friendly suggestion - it would have been helpful to provide storage solutions for leftovers: Saran Wrap, Foil, disposable aluminum pans/containers. We had a wonderful catered dinner and had a hard time storing leftovers. Other than that, everything was perfection! We'd love to book this home again for our next family event!

Lovely weekend

We had a fantastic weekend with our group. Brenda was a pleasure to deal with and responded very quickly. The property was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was perfect and it was nice to have the pool house to store snacks and beverages while swimming. We had a small problem and they were quick to come over to access the problem and then offered a quick solution. We would definitely stay again.

Great Escape!!

Excellent time was had by all. 8 adults, 2 17 year olds, 3 little ones. All had a blast. All went swimming. .... a lot!! Lotsa dining space. Lotsa space for games. Everyone had their own private rooms. Private. Lotsa space!! Thanks so much!!
