A stunning two-bedroom penthouse apartment in a traditional Savoyard chalet.
This exceptional apartment sleeps up to 6 people in luxury. The décor is traditional, but with a contemporary twist of industrial chic. Every effort has been made to ensure that guests are as comfortable as possible. The open plan living area has cosy wooden floors and elegant double French windows that lead out onto the private balcony. The views of the Chamonix valley from the balcony will take your breath away. There are two large sofas and a flat-screen, Smart TV in the living room. Next to it is the dining area, with a large wooden table for 6 people. This leads on to the wonderfully minimalist, yet fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge and raclette.

Location The apartment is in an ideal location in Le Tour, next to the village of Argentière, just 150m from the lifts for the Le Tour skiing area. During the winter months, there is a bread depot on the ground floor of the building for fresh bread every morning. There is also a good restaurant and a ski rental outlet on site.
Argentière has all the amenities for a perfect holiday: good restaurants and bars, shops and the popular Panda Club, for younger children. More advanced skiers head for Les Grands Montets, above Argentière, for some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Alps.
All the facilities of the Chamonix region are on your doorstep. During the summer months, there are stunning mountain trails for hiking or mountain biking, white water rafting, rock climbing, paragliding and horse riding. For something more relaxing, there is the renowned QC Termes spa just a 10-minute drive away.
Geneva airport is a 1½ hour drive from the apartment. There are free shuttle services between Argentière and Chamonix, either by bus (22 mins) or by train (18mins), on the Mont Blanc Express.

Fabulous stay in Chamonix
The best thing about this property is it’s location - right at the foot of the gondola to the Balme ski area and easy walking distance from La Vormaine beginners area. Right on top of a very helpful ski rental shop where you could order fresh bread for the next day as a bonus, and right next door to a great bar/restaurant (but beware - everything in Le Tour shuts down by 6pm!).
The apartment itself is great, clever design, warm and comfy.

Great place to spend the holiday. Agency lacks communication
After booking the appartment, we were supposed to get a notification email regarding entry instructions to the unit. This email, however, never arrived. Because of our flight delay on arrival, we got the the appartment later than expected. When we landed about 19:00 the phones of the people responsible for this area of rental properties that i found on the VRBO website didnt actually work when i called and texted. Finally we arrived to the area around 10 pm, without knowing whether there will be anyone to open the door for us. There indeed wasnt. After about 20 calls and anxious search for a way out of this situation, someone got back to us on the phone and gave instructions as to where to pick up the keys. Dylan, who was super nice and helpful, said, allegedly, we should have gotten an email with instructions, which never arrived as stated previously. Anyway, luckily the office with the keys was not too far away in town. We were able to retrieve the keys from the safe deposit box at the office and get back to the appartment. Another issue with the property is it’s location. Make sure you understand the location of the property. Its about 10-12 minutes driving up the mountains from Chamonix, meaning every travel in the area will usually start from driving. The property itself is practically amazing for spending your holiday. Truly, besides the bad start, our stay was marvelous and i think we would stay there again if had to choose an appartment. Dylan, thank you so mych for being available for our every question and of course for saving us from spending a night in the car.

Luxurious but with disadvantages
Modern comfort, beautiful architecture, high quality materials, but steel beams in living room and bedroom may (and did in our case) cause painful and dangerous bumps to your head, even if you are not tall. Balcony, but not a terrace.

L'appartement a répondu en tout point à nos attentes à l'exception de 2 points : la mezzanine était inaccessible (il n'était pas fait mention dans l'annonce de la possibilité d'y dormir, mais nous l'avions envisagé d'après les photos pour une de nos filles) et il était interdit de faire un feu de cheminée, ce qui est regrettable à la montagne.
