Just had another week in the Mudusa & we loved it. We got the top floor studio apartment & it was spacious, quiet & modern with everything you needed for a relaxing break. Though it was towards the end of the season the high standards we had experienced in June had not slipped one bit, which is not always case in some hotels but here the cleaning team were on the ball....bedrooms, corridors & the pool area spotless every day. The private balcony had a view over the pool area & towards Kallithea right round over the bay to Elia Nikitis & every morning we sat, coffee in hand watching the sun appear over Mt Athos in the distance...beautiful. The barbecue was great got most people mixing & chatting in to the early morning. The hike to the beach & back was great but not for everyone, in summer there is a shuttle bus which you can get on. At this time of the season the sunbeds are gone from the beach & the little beach bar closed but it was heavenly. The village was quiet as it was towards the end of the season but still the service was exceptional and the food devine. Thanks Daphne, Achileas and all the staff for giving us a week a brilliant week in your family run hotel, well worth a visit.
Lovey 1st floor apartment self catering. Good spacious room with nice view of pool area and onward to the sea. Late nights at the bar not a problem as the windows had excellent sound proofing. In reality late nights at the bar were not every night in any case. A couple of minutes walk up to the town of Kiopigi with a wide range of restaurants to pick from. Small beach at the bottom of the hill but it steep you have been warned. Our hosts at the hotel were fantastic and very helpful with local knowledge for our days out. Go enjoy and relax.
Lovely hotel with clean apartments. We were given a family room which has 1 double bed and two singles. Apparently, the studio we originally booked only has 1 double bed, so we were very grateful for this surprise upgrade! As with most bathrooms in Greece, there is no shower curtain or shower cabin. We each brought an extra towel with us, so we could use one towel to dry the bathroom floor after showering. All the staff at the hotel are extremely friendly. Daphne welcomes you personally and shows you to your room. Bridget welcomes you at the bar. Both ladies will be happy to give advice on where to eat and what to see. The main road, with supermarkets, restaurants and bars is only a few minutes' walk away (uphill on the way there, downhill on the way back, which is nice after a meal or drink!). The only disadvantage is the distance to the beach. It is quite a long way. If you are unhappy about something, just say so. Daphne will do what she can to solve it. Don't miss the barbecue night by the pool! If you plan on renting a car, make sure you ask Daphne to help you, rather than booking through a large agency. Great service!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Medusa for 10 nights, and we had such a good time. The room was a good size, with a great view from the balcony. The room and all of the facilities were very clean and well kept and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay there, and we would love to return one day! Thanks for a great stay
Lovely hotel, has everything you need! We stayed in a double room, had a balcony, fridge and shower room everything was clean and useable. I had a hair dryer from reception and got to keep it in my room till I left. They clean the rooms every other day which is fine and they still empty yours bins everyday. Everything is clean and presentable, the pool area and bar was big enough and plenty of sun loungers. The staff are really helpful kind and make you feel at home and had a great laugh. BBQ night was great too, we got to meet other couples and families that we're staying in the same hotel. Over all great holiday lovely people and lovely village! The Welsh couple Amy and Mathew 👍🇬🇷😊✈️☀️😘
From the moment we arrived at the Medusa we were met by Daphne who made us feel right at home and welcome. The hotel is in a brilliant location to the village just a few minutes walk away to where there are local tavernas and restaurants serving traditional greek food. The quality was excellent. It has kept the Greek village feel to it. Everyone had time for you and made you welcome. . We had a lovely side room looking over the sea and the forest leading down to it. It was so peaceful and relaxing . The pool area is great a nice large pool and plenty of sunbeds and kept spotless with lovely views. Really good poolside snacks. We got a taxi to a few of the local villages only about 7.00 Euro for a change a few days but you can book excursions at the hotel . Thankyou Daphne and Achilleas and all the staff for a lovely holiday.
Myself and three friends stayed at the Medusa in one of the family rooms which included a small kitchen, balcony, two double beds and a small shower room with sink and toilet. The room was basic but fine for our needs. Pool was really nice and clean, but cold but that was probably due to weather! Plenty of sun loungers and a pool bar serving a few snacks. It would have been nice if our room was cleaned everyday instead of every other day but never mind.
Had a wonderful holiday here, the owners and staff are very friendly and make you feel like part of the family. The room is clean and tidy. The village is lovely and the people very friendly Cant wait to go back!
Studio apartment, booked for 28days. Poorly equipped, badly maintained. Electric wires exposed. Unable to contact rep. Spend as long as possible away from the extremely small room. Noise from other apartments air conditioning kept us awake. We visit Greece once or twice a year for many years, this worst.
Arrived in the rain (yes, bloomin' rain) to a warm welcome and immediately upgraded to a larger room with great sea view. Things to make you smile: - really clean - 5 mins to bars/restaurants - 15 mins walk down steep hill to beach - great sized pool (albeit rather chilly!) - owners very friendly and helpful - ideal location for exploring other areas (fell in love with nearby Afitos). Things to make you frown: - room ill equipped for self catering - radio playing music around pool was anything but relaxing although no one else seemed to mind (maybe I'm just getting old). At the end of the day: Lovely hotel, great location, fantastic owners but I did crave a bit more peace and quiet around the pool. Thanks Daphne!
